AC 5.3 - SPM reports

Hi All,
When trying to run transaction /VIRSA/ZVFAT_U05 (Invalid Firefighter Ids/Owners/Cntrl report) nothing happens.
In addition, when running the Log Summary Report in the web, we are missing some data in report (for example, the controller data is missing for some of the FF).
Does anybody knows somthing about this problem ?

Hello Yudit,
Tcode /VIRSA/ZVFAT_U05 (Invalid Firefighter Ids/Owners/Cntrl report, don't gives you option to enter any value in selection screen.
This report just gives the output when you execute it.
The screen will be blank if there are not result.
Now what is purpose of this report. Well this report gives you list of user who are defined in Firefighter tables, however they no more exist in SAP table.
For example it will show some output like:
Firefighter Users deleted from SAP:
xyz123
or
Firefighter Controllers deleted from SAP:
abc123
Which means that Firefighter User xyz123 is assigned one Firefighter ID , however this user no more exist in SAP system, hence Invalid. Kindly remove this user from Firefighter table also.
Or Controller abc123 no more exist in SAP system, however he is controller of one of the FF ID, which is audit issue.
Well talking about missing data in Log Summary report. Well it is not missing. It is that, that FF ID had only one Controller assigned or no Controller assigned. Please go and check Controller table.

FF Id Owner Name appears different in SPM report campared to Backend

Hi Team,
We have SPM 5.3 installed and we are using user based Firefighter concept.
I have run the SPM report ( log summery report , transaction usage report and detail log report ) today. There the FF id Owner name appearing is different with respect to what we maintained in ' Owners' tab in backend firefighter Dash board. Even in the Backend log report it is appearing different . Means at Backend and SPM ( GRC front end) both the places FF id owner is appearing different w.r.t what we maintained in Owner tab of Backend system.
Please suggest what can be the issue . And where I need to change the confirguration to make the report consistant with what we maintained in Owner tab of Backend system.

Kakali,
Have you got multiple owners defined in the backend system? Sometimes that causes inconsistencies.
I have noticed that there is a Bug in SAP Note 1168121 which means that the owner is missed off the email log reports in SPM up to SP08 and that might also be the issue.

SPM Reporting - Log reports display on front end

Hi,
We have implemented GRC 5.3 and have an issue on the SPM reporting through the front end.
We have done config in dev and have the following jobs running in the background every 1 hour:
1. /VIRSA/ZVFATBAK
2. /VIRSA/ZVFAT_LOG_REPORT
3. /VIRSA/ZVFAT_V01
4. /VIRSA/ZVFAT_V03
The log on the back-end displays all activity of FF user, but when going to the front end I seem not to get any reports to display.
We have created the connectors via the config page, but when trying to drill through the selection criteria we found that the FF user does not come up as a selection variable. We see the system defined though.
Any suggestions how to get the reporting to display on the front-end?

Santosh,
You should only need the /virsa/zvfatbak job running in the background. However, if the emails are not triggered for the log reports, you may wish to schedule the /virsa/zvfat_log_report program to run after completion of /virsa/zvfatbak as that is the program which actually sends the notifications.
Regarding the RFC user, check the authorisations held in the Firefighter Administrator role as those will not be too far away!

Critical actions in SPM reports

Hi all,
One question in the way SPM retrives data from when reporting:
I have seen in SPM report "SoD Conflicts Report" that SPM integrates with RAR in order to identifiy SoD Conflicts.
Regarding, the critical actions filtering applied in SPM reports, where this information validation is it retrieved from? Critical actions defined in RAR OR critical actions maintained in R/3 transaction VFAT? What is to say in frontend (RAR) or backend (R/3)?

Hi Imanol,
It totally depends on your configuration. Go to SPM/FF -> Configuration tab. There is a parameter called 'Critical Transaction Table from Compliance Calibrator (VRAT)'. If the value is not maintained or if the value is 'NO' then SPM/FF will look at it's own critical tcode table. If the value is 'YES' then SPM/FF will look at RAR/CC for critical tcode table and you don't need to maintain critical tcodes in SPM/FF.

Is SPM Reporting Flex included in the SAP Roadmap

Hi Rajesh, Rohit,
A quick question here regarding the SPM Flex reporting tool and whether this has been included in SAP's Roadmap strategy for the future. I can't see any mention of it in any presentations or literature. Concerns over whether it will become obsolete, etc. Can't see it as the integration to other advanced features such as Spend Advisor and E-Sourcing is vital.
Any advice welcome.

Customer and partners have asked this question a few times before and a very valid one. Nothing is a grantee, and I am no fortune teller. As and when new technologies emerge SAP will evaluate them to weigh their benefits against existing choices. Having said all of that, this architecture of delivering the flex UI for end users and using NW BW as the data warehouse is gaining popularity. So Adobe Flex based UI is here to stay at least for the near future.
Starting mid this year you will see other applications in EPM (Enterprise Performance Management Suite) use this architecture and technology. Some of them are already on this band wagon. In fact SPM UI is being separated and this UI will be used by the other application. Meaning all applications will have the same look and feel.

At the moment SPM statistics (record of which users accessed which reports, etc...) is not available. This will be considered for the next release.

SPM "SoD Violation Report"

Hi all,
We are trying to find details documentation for user SPM report "SoD Violation Report" but there is any in 5.3 configuration and user guide.
What is the purpose of such report? Which is the expected result? Are they the SoD conflicts within FF authorizations? OR SoD conflicts of transactions executed by FF?

Yes, Imanol. it will show the SoD conflicts of transactions executed by FF
The Segregation of Duties (SoD) Conflicts Report captures the data from the selected system for
each designated firefighter ID. The data is grouped by firefighter and by violated risk. The report
lists the SoD Conflicts that arise for each login event.
The report displays the following information for each firefighter ID:
· Name of the firefighter using the firefighter ID.
· The Risk ID associated with the conflict.
· The name of the transaction.
· The date that the conflict occurred.

Adding a Custom Hierarchy field to SPM query giving Server Error

Hi
I have enahnced the SPM data model with Organistaion Unit Infobject 0ORGUNIT as part of a
enhancement requirement for using 0ORGUNIT Hierarchy .
The field has been added to Bex Query - Spend Analysis Final and also appear in the SPM datasource.
When I add this 0ORGNUNIT field to the SPM report in SPM UI , I get a server error.
There isn't anymore information showing up about the error.
I dont think I missed any step here . I a;lso checked the Analysis administration - Dimension Properties and all looks fine there.
I can see the new field 0ORGUNIT showing up with Hierarchy selected.
We are in SPM 3.0 support pack 7.

Please check whether your key flex structure is frozen or not. If now please freeze it and re compile and try.

Time out for SPM

Hi Guru:
When I run SPM report, I received a time out message.
I already set the timeout parameter on administration->Analysis Administration->Application properties to 6000, however it seems it will timeout in about 10 minutes.
Any idea about how to resolve it?

Hi Eric,
It's possible to interact with the interface without hitting the portal/app server/data base. This is because a lot of the interface is cached.
When you say it times out, are you actually running reports that are bringing back data, or are you just accessing menus etc?

Hierarchies in SPM-Queries

In the SPM Queries there are Hierarchies enabled for certain characteristics.
So far we have not maintained these in the backend. Now in certain SPM reports or dashboards we get errors due to that hierarchies not being available.
Therefore I would like to understand if these hierarchies are kind of mandatory for SPM, or if I can just delete them in the queries if they would never be created anyways?
Furthermore I would like to understand in general how SPM deals with hierarchies. Is there any documentation available on that topic?

Hi Tobias,
Yes, you are right for certain characteristics in SPM Queries have hierarchies. And these dimensions are part of certain out of the box reports. So removing these hierarchies from the query will not fix the out of the box reports, as these reports are expecting the hierarchies to be present. But when users are creating new reports they will not receive that error anymore.
The only difference the way BW hierarchies are displayed is only one level is displayed in SPM UI at any given time.

Integration of SPM & E-Sourcing

Hi Everyone,
I am trying to activate the option of creating an auction from the SPM reports. There is very little help available for the same. As per the link I had obtained from help.sap, I had done some settings. But, the integration is not done correctly since the system gets freezed at the screen of connection.
The setting in E-Sourcing for maintaining the URL etc has been done.
Can someone pls explain me how are the templates to be created(as they have been mentioned in the link, but no steps are provided).
Any other help is also very welcome.

1. What versions of SPM and E-sourcing are you using for this integration?
2. Have the SSO configurations been done? This should be documented in the SPM installation guide and the E-sourcing user guide
3. How does your E-sourcing URL look like as configured in related applications?
4. Can you send a screen shot of related apps screen itself?

SPM queries runtime statistics

We are trying to gather SPM statitics mainly around query usage but per the attached it seems the only statistics we are able to find are related to BW queries run and not queries ran through the portal. Can you please confirm the process of gathering SPM statistics by using Adobe Flex?
We have already checked BI statistics settings are set for all 0ASA_MP, 0ASA_DS and ASA_DS* dataproviders and multiproviders. Run time statistics have run our system, but we do not have any statistic available for our queries executed in the SPM UI (0ASA_MP01_Q* queries).
Could you please let us know if possible to have query runtime statistics for SPM queries ran though the portal?.

Hi Claudia,
At the moment we do not collect any SPM reporting statistics or SPM UI statistics. So the only way to look up statistics is to turn on BI statistics which seems like you have already done.

This seems to be custom code - is this code trying to connect to another database ? Has this ever worked before ? Are the parameters being passed to this concurrent the same for all users ?

1. In the RAR component - Do any of you have some documentation about the risks
(and their components) that come with system ?
2. In the SPM component - Do any of you have some experience with activating FF for SRM or BW ? how is the log on being executed ?

We currently have this issue. We may need to have someone from the technical team try to create a shopping cart or do some other activity in SRM that can not done be done through the GUI. They may also need to troubleshoot as a user is seeing it and the users do not have any reason to access the SRM GUI.
We created the Firefighter id in the production portal, however I noticed there is no log in the SPM reports when access with a FF id in the portal and a defined password. In addition, it does not show that the FF id is being used when you log into /VIRSA/VFAT.
Our solution was to have the person who needs the FF id to create a request in CUP and get the normal approvals. Once the request provisions to the SRM system, the portal team opens that FF id in the portal for the specific time noted in the CUP request. An authorization trace is turned on to log to some degree what they are accessing. If they need the GUI then of course they can use /virsa/vfat where SPM works like normal.
If there is a way to make this work correctly using SPM I would love to hear it.

Approver Determinator CUP (Controller) Question

Hello, I had a few questions when trying to use the (Controller) as Approver Determinator for our SPM work flow.
Everything is working perfectly fine using a CAD as the approver. But when I switch it over to the (Controller) I'm having some issues.
Questions:
1) Where would you configure the Controller's email address for approval notification? Guessing the SU01 record? This is different from other approvers who are configured within the UME
2) Won't the (Controller) need a CUP UME role to enter through the approval link sent out via email? Currently we only have controller in the backend ECC systems and view access to SPM reports through a UME view FF role.
3) Do we need to run a background job to send emails for the controller in the ABAP system or just the standard one in CUP?

There are "controllers" in SPM that you add to an FF_ID which then monitors logs. There is also a "controller" within the approver determinator drop down in a stage. I was wondering if these are the same. So if you use "controller" as your approver determinator for a certain FF ID in CUP will send for approval to the person define against the ID in the FF table.
