AC Adapter Failure

Hey everyone,
My iPhone 3GS A/C adapter will not work. The same cable plugged into a USB port on any of my computers works great, but when plugged into the A/C adapter, nothing charges. So I'm assuming it's the A/C adapter.
I looked at the Apple Self Service page, and they want my credit card info to charge $30 if I don't return it, or they don't think it is defective. (How does that little thing cost $30!?) After my Apple store experience, I am a bit paranoid. Has anyone ran into troubles using the self service system to get replacement parts? Or did it work well?

That's not necessarily true. I bought a backup battery/case online from the Apple Store and it cracked. Walked into an Apple store and they gave me a free replacement. My wife had the same case and a few weeks later hers cracked too and they replaced hers as well. No appointment.

I am trying to send AS2 message to my partner by using Certificates and I am getting the following error at AS2 receiver adapter.Looks like it doesn't have User Credentials to access the certificates.But we provided all the details.We are not sure where it is going wrong.

Hi,
1) First of all create the Seeburger Certificates.
2) You have to deploy those certiates in your Visual Administrator.
After that in Interration Builder -
> Receiver Agreement -
> In Security Settings -
>
                   AS2 Sender Configuration -
> Signing Key -
>give the certificate name over there.
                   AS2 Sender Configuration -
> Encription Certificate & Authenitication Certificate is there
                   u have to give u r certificate names over there.

Seeburger SFTP Sender Adapter Failure

Hello,
a SFTP sender channel causes the follow error when executing a poll cycle:
SFTP Adapter failure Details: while trying to invoke the method com.seeburger.uri.dt.sftp.schema.DtSFTPPollingResponse.setSuccessMessage(java.lang.String) of an object loaded from local variable 'e'
The server was pinged successfully so there should be no firewall issue. We are also able to logon to the server using a third-party SFTP client.
The error description is not very meaningful for tracking down the root cause.
Do you have any idea what could have caused this error?

For the Roll back error plz chk the below points.
1. Check the module parameters.
2. Make sure the sender agreement doesnt have any * 's.
Ex: The SA should not be like : | BS | SI_test_oa | * | *
SA should be like BS | SI_test_oa | |
3. If the input file has special chanracters , use the encoding .
If the above doesnt work, try to create a new communication channel and test it.
We also faced this error toomany times in the sender CC for sFTP advatco adapter.

Iam trying to test the Outbound AS2 connection though the receiver is not yet ready with the setup but i want to make sure at my side . While testing i got this error message ..

The certificate of your client must be maintained in AS2 keystore. Make sure that in the receiver agreement, you have given the same name. If certificate name is test.crt, then receiver agreement should have entry AS2keystore\test.

All was working fine but now I got these errors in an AS2 scenario. Sending a message via AS2. Also we don't receive any messages via AS2 anymore. This is the error when sending a message:

Are you using the "Use Authentication" option in the communication channel? If yes, then ensure that the user provided is correct and is not locked. Also recheck the authentication certificate settings.

There weren't any errors from sxmb_moni, tried checking the com channels and they seem to be working fine. Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

Alerting adapter failures

Hi
I was wondering how we can throw alerts in case of adapter failures for JDBC/File adapter..Other middleware have provisions to monitor log files genetrated by adapter instances for this..Is something similar possible from SAP using say CCMS?

Has info on CCMS config to monitor the J2EE engine. Have not tried it yet, so can't comment much on the granularity of monitoring support in CCMS.

Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter failure misdiagnosed

When I purchased my new MacBook Pro last December, I had to purchase Apple's Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter in order to continue using my Apple 20" Display monitor with it.
Turns out the Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter dies so I no longer had access to use of my Apple 20" Display monitor
Only the cause of the display's going blank was not clear
I took my MacBook Pro and the 20" monitor tothe apple store Genius bar.
Using my computer and my 20" monitor, the Genius tried making it work with my bower block and with another one in the store. Nothing worked.
What he didn't test was the Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter itself to see if that was the problem.
So I bought a new monitor and that didn't work either.
I had to go back to the Apple store Genius bar a second time for them to figure out that it was the Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter.
Big PITA (Pain in the A..)
Poor diagnosis the first time gave me 10 days of frustration.
What's with that, Apple?

I turns out that the logic board of my MacBook Pro was faulty (despite being brand new).
I took it to the Apple Store, presented the problem, and one of the Tech's came to the same conclusion that I had -- hardware failure. Phone support was no help in the matter (and even told me that what I was trying to do wasn't a supported option, which is rediculous). However, the Genius Bar did take care of the problem, and my MacBook Pro was back to me with a replaced logic board within a few days.

AC/DC Combo adapter failure/short

I bought the thin AC/DC combo adapter with my ThinkPad, and at first it seemed to work, but it quickly became clear that it had a short that would cause it to intermittently fail. I've isolated it to the point the cable exits the brick.
I first noticed the problem about 8 months ago, but sat on it too long and inadvertantly let the one-year anniversary of my laptop purchase expire. The product was barely used, and it has failed to work as advertised, so I would hope Lenovo will offer to replace it, even if the warranty period has technically expired.
But I can't figure out how (other than through the forums) to contact someone at Lenovo to find out whether you will honor this.

As far as I've seen, you can't. The product is no longer in warrenty, and unless they modify the warentee (as they've sometimes done on faulty batteries) or issue a recall, there's not really much you can probably do. I've had nothing but problems with mine, and it is doing the same as yours just after the warentee period is up (I fried two of the DC plugs in the warentee period.) You're not the only one in the situation, but you probably will be stuck there until you buy a new one.

Database Adapter Failure - 10.1.3.1

Added a database adapter in 10.1.3.1 to call a package which calls successfully from 10.1.2.0.2.
When I run it under 10.1.3.1, I get an error saying that an element cannot be NULL, and on investigation I see that BPEL is adding in the wrong namespace, i.e. xmlns="" on each element, and hence it cannot find the element.

DOM Level 2 has replaced DOM Level 1. The XSDs that the stored procedure adapter generates will include elementFormDefault="qualified". These changes will be available in the upcoming 10.1.3.3.0 patch set.

ISeries DB2 JDBC Adapter failure

I have a scenario where XI needs to send data to AS-400 (iSeries) DB2. To do that we installed the DB2 JDBC driver for AS-400 (jt400.jar).
However, we are getting the following error:

Please check whether u gave the same comm.channel properties.

AQ Adapter failure - reinstall doens't help, unless a new name is provided

Our AQ adapter worked fine for years, but after a restart it suddenly stopped working. No error messages are written when started but what is more strange, no log is written at all (the agent_log_level is set to 2, so it should write something). And of course it doens't do anything.
What is more strange: if I reinstall it with the same name, nothing happens. If I reinstall it with a new name, it works correctly. The problem is that I nee to have this adapter with the original name, so installing with a new name doesn't solve my problem. It's just starnge. It seems that something is stored somewhere related to the original name and this is reloaded all the time is try to start it. I've tried to delete the persistence directory, but didn't help.

I think something wrong with you repository!
Try the folowing:
1) stop all your adapters (check if it really stopeed - in windows look for processes with name "java.exe", in Unix "ps -ef adapter"), if not all stoped by stop script - kill them
2) stop the repository (check if it really stopped)
3) delete the "persistance" directory of all your adapters
Then start normally: repository, than your adapter
If it doesn't help - the problem may be with java.
Smb. may have reinstall it or install a new version - and it can be not you, it can be administrator for ex.

T530 "The connected AC adapter has a lower wattage.." AC adapter failure/BIOS glitch?

Hi there, I updated my BIOS on my T530 to the latest version yesterday(2.54).
Today I turned on my ThinkPad on the battery, and then plugged it in immediately realizing it was unplugged, after doing so I got this message on the screen. Turning the laptop off, and back on works fine, and I don't receive any messages.

I've had this happen to my W520 too; plugging in the adapter during POST. I wouldn't worry much about it; it's probably just confusing the laptop a little bit.

Adapter failure

We are witnessing a strange behavior with our XI system
The XI communication channel fails to read the file. In fact it never pings that file. The file was there in the folder for hours, but XI never read it although the communication channel was always green and the communication channel monitoring shows it was continuously pinging in the folder.
As soon as we restarted the channel (I just stopped it and again pressed start) it picked up the file.
What can be the reason and it happens only once or twice in a month. And for the rest of the days it runs fine with errors

In the Visual Admin --->Cluster ---> "LOCKING ADAPTER"
You get a option of Display Locks .Check there, if it is locked reset the lock and restart the CC.

Internal LAN adapter failure after upgrade to Windows 7 Premium

Upon boot up the following message appears for a few seconds, and then the boot to W7 continues successfully; except the adapter does not work.
“Initializing Intel Boot Agent GE v1.2.28.
PXE-E05: The LAN adapter’s configuration is corrupted or has not been initialized. The Boot Agent cannot continue.”
On 12/31/06 I purchased (Through the HP Store) a Pavilion dv9000t, p/n: EZ379AV, s/n: CNF7012K4X. aka: HP Pavilion dv9000t CTO Notebook PC.
I purchased an upgrade to Windows 7 Premium via the Microsoft store last February and did a successful clean install.
The LAN adapter error message appeared on my first W7 boot-up and has continued ever since.
What advice do you have? Using a USB LAN adapter is a pain.
