Ac adapter for box where can i buy one. want charge and it with cord that plugs into the wall

Where can i buy a a/c adapter( to plug into the wall and play an charge) for HMDX Jam wireless speaker...model HX-P230E. Its a 5VDC 500 ma

If it's the localised plug part that is broken you don't need to exactly replace it but in its stead use a standard C8 (figure 8) power cord. If you don't have one spare you can always get a really cheap one from most stores that carry electrical cables such as Radio Shack, Walmart etc etc.

I have an eMac which shows the date and time as random figures, suggesting that the internal battery is dead. Where can I buy a replacement? My local Apple reseller does not stock them.

You may be able to find a battery seller locally, The PRAM battery is not limited to computer use. That model is also used in alarm systems. Look for a "1/2 AA 3.6V lithium" battery--that's about as generic description as one can give.
I found a seller that has a chart of battery number equivalents:
    http://www.medicbatteries.com/battery-cross-reference-guide
Look at the last line. There is a long list of manufacturers' battery numbers that are 1/2AA 3.6V. As long as you find one that's lithium (haven't seen any that aren't) you should be good to go.

By "charger," do you mean a USB power adapter that plugs into the wall outlet (used to "charge" the iPod), or are you asking about the USB docking cable that connect the iPod to the computer?

Because the XP597A3 (actually any of these product numbers; XP597AA, XP597A3, XP597AS) is a HP 2011x 20" LCD/LED widescreen monitor. The OP was looking for an A/C adapter power supply for the HP 2711x 27" LCD/LED widescreen monitor, which is product # XP600AA or XP600A3. The adapter power supply I linked to, is the correct part for the 2711x monitor.... that is why not those other parts.

You said you would pay any price for Siri. You want Siri, it's $700.

This is one instance where you'll curse yourself for not having bought the AppleCare Warranty extension and gotten the board for free.
Anyway, get your model number handy and go look up the parts in www.powerbookmedic.com or www.ifixit.com amongst other places. They've also have videos or photo pictorials on how to do the replacement. Not altogether trivial, be sure to spread the adequate amount of thermal paste on the CPU and GPU, else you'll fry the new board in short order again.

  • Where can I find a retail copy of MAC OSX Snowleopard, that has all the drivers, for both desktop and Laptops?

Where can I find a retail copy of MAC OSX Snowleopard, that has all the drivers, for both desktop and Laptops?

No. 10.6.3 was the last retail release of Snow Leopard. Download the 10.6.8 Combo updater and put it on a flash drive to make it easier to install the largest part of the update.
Also, don't push the same disk image of SL to your Macs unless they are exactly the same model as it was originally installed on. The wrong hardware drivers will otherwise be in use.

  • If my laptop battery dies for good, can I still have my laptop work while plugged into the wall?

It's a Toshiba Satellite laptop, made this year, Windows vista, yadda yadda. Look my point is, if my battery gets wasted to a point where it won't charge anymore, will my computer still work plugged into the wall? I can't afford to get another battery. I can't afford a pack of cigarettes.

The answer to your question about externally powering your notebook PC is yes.
You can safely remove the battery and plug in the power adapter to use it as a desktop PC.

  • Is there a device I can purchase to enable wifi on my old iMac, like something that plugs into the ethernet port?

Is there a device I can purchase to enable wifi on my old iMac, like something that plugs into the ethernet port?

Yes! There are lots of wifi adapters that will work with OS 9 on old iMacs. You can find a comprehensive list of them here:
    http://lowendmac.com/macdan/md09/mac-os-9-wifi.html
Belkin seems to make a lot of wireless products for OS 9, so that would probably be the name to keep in mind. You can see one of these here:
    http://cache-www.belkin.com/support/dl/belkin_wireless_usb_network_adapter_manua l_os9.pdf
If you're using an iMac G3, I think those are compatible with AirPort cards, so that's an option too. Good luck!

I have a macbook pro4.1 and the sound chip in it failed. My speakers and microphone no longer work. Does anyone know of an external speaker and microphone set that plugs into the USB port so I can continue to use both of these functions and not have to pay to have the entire main board replaced. Preferably something under $100.

I don't think you're likely to find a set of external speakers that come with a microphone and plug directly into a USB port. There are USB audio cards that look like tiny flash drives but have microphone and headphone ports in them, to which you can connect a typical two-plug Windows PC headset with a microphone, or else you can connect external speakers and a stand-alone microphone. Those adapters typically cost under $10. I don't know anything about the quality of sound that can be expected from them.
I have a Griffin iMic, which is much the same idea but larger, a bit more expensive (retail~$40), and perhaps delivers somewhat better sound quality (I hope so, but I don't know because I've never had occasion to try one of the little ones).

  • I have a MacBook Pro laptop purchased in June 2011, and the superdrive no longer works.  Rather than have it replaced, I'll buy a 3rd party superdrive that plugs into the USB port.  Does it need it's own power source, or will the USB port suffice?

I have a MacBook Pro laptop purchased in June 2011, and the superdrive no longer works.  Rather than have it replaced, I'll buy a 3rd party superdrive that plugs into the USB port.  Does the external superdrive need it's own power source, or will the USB port provide enough power?

The Apple external SuperDrive actually exceeds the allowed power draw. Because of this, it is only trouble-free on certain models that accommodate this excess.
All others require an external Power source.

  • Where can I buy a new charger?!?!

Ok so my powerbook charger popped, fizzed, sparked and died. Now I am left laptop-less and in the middle of midterms week. Almost everyone I know owns an apple laptop but they all have the NEW chargers...ugh! What can I do? I tried ordering offline and this is the picture I keep getting with my search:
    http://store.l-f-l.com/cgi-bin/cp-app.cgi?rrc=N&pg=prod&ref=ACG4&op=M8482LL/A&bd =APPLE&CMP=BAC-nextag
Where is the plug itself? It seems like I need another piece to connect it to an outlet. AH! Please help me!!!

That is a third party AC adapter and I am certain that the photo is only for illustrative purposes, which is missing the second piece, the cord that goes to the outlet.
Almost all third party AC adapters that look like this style, whether the three-slot or two-slot opening (if you know what I mean), come with the brick and plug that goes into your computer, and the cord that goes from the brick to the outlet.
Of course, you can always try eBay where you can get them new and used for good prices. Just make sure you get the one for your machine. Third party adapters may have the wrong connector piece intended for the older G3s with thicker heads.
If you buy Apple's adapter, or a compatible third party adapter, you can either get 45W or 65W since it is interchangeable and won't harm your computer. (If you had the 15-inch PowerBook, I'd recommend, aluminum that is, you get the 65W adapter).

  • My iPhone 4 will only work when it's plugged into the wall charger. What can I do ?

    Please help.

    Hello DaShiaa,
I would be concerned too if my iPhone would not power on unless plugged in.  I found an article with steps you can take when you encounter an issue like this.  I recommend following the steps below:
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 15 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.
