USB adapter for OS8.1 laptop

I have a PB3400 running OS8.1. I'd like to be able to connect a (PC compatible) USB memory stick to it, so I'm looking a for a USB adapter. The PB3400 has a slot for PCMCIA card. Hi, Alan. Support for the then brand-new USB protocol in OS 8.1 was really rudimentary — no modern USB device is likely to be compatible with it. USB support wasn't even halfway mature until OS 8.6. Are you reluctant to upgrade to 8.6 or even 9.1?
There is another possible problem: I don't remember whether the 3400's PCMCIA slot is 32-bit CardBus-compliant, and I don't know whether a USB 1.1 adapter card would require that compliance. (I suspect that any USB 2.0 card would require it, and you'll never get USB 2.0 speed on a 3400 anyway: OS X 10.2.3 or 10.3.4 or later is required for USB 2.0 support. So don't buy a USB 2.0 card.) But you should be able to get reliable info about these specifications and requirements from an exceptionally knowledgeable poster over here who goes by the name of jpl. Good luck.

2nd HDD caddy replacing optical drive for HP Pavilion 15-e073ca Notebook PC & Windows 10

Hello ! I am planning to add a SSD to my two-years-old HP Pavilion 15-e073ca Notebook PC. I found on some sites that I can remove the optical drive and put a second drive using a caddy adapter into the optical drive bay. I found that some people on the forum have done it successfully, but nothing about my PC model. I want to know if it could work with my product. In other words, there is my plan:1-Remove the actual HDD from the hard drive bay and replace it with the new SSD.2-Remove the optical drive and replace it with the caddy adapter containing my old HDD.3-Do a clean install of Windows 10 on the SSD, using a USB recovery flash drive made with my actual Windows 10 system (which was updated from Windows 8.1). Be sure that the battery is fully charge then try the following:
Hit the ESC key after power on to bring up the Start up Menu and then select System Diagnostics (F2). Now run the battery test.
If the battery is OK then try the below suggestion:
Go to the Control Panel ----> Power Options and then select the HP Power Manager on the left column. You can then select one of the power plans and see the effects on battery life.
Depending on the power plan selected and what applications your are running, you may not get more than one hour on battery.

I am trying to put Windows 7 64-bit on a brand new HP Pavilion Laptop - Model 15-ab023cl. VGA to Video adapter for a late 2004 iBOOK

I found a free TV and thought maybe i could use it as a larger screen format. so i went searching for cable adapters.
I did do a search here in the search query box on word search vga to video and results show related to clam shell versions.
while looking around the Apple web site for a VGA to Video adapter for a iBOOK G4 that shows a CPU speed of 1.2 GHz and a designation of PowerBook6, 5 yes that is how it is written in the System Profiler 'PowerBook6, 5'.
Using a tape measure the screen itself with out the plastic frame shows a width of 9.5 inches , including the plastic frame shows: 11 and one quarter, that could round off to 12 inch even though it is not at or beyond the point 5 mark.
The original paper work is some where ?.

HP B500 Wireless Bluethooth Adapter for HP Printer Not Working With Windows 8.1

I have been using the HP BT500 bluetooth Wireless adapter to print wirelessly to my HP Officejet Pro 8500 printer. I have been using Windows Vista, but recently upgraded to Windows 8.1. I learned after the upgrade that the HP B500 wireless bluetooth adapter is not compatable with Windows 8.1. I have attempted to find a driver upgrade for the B500, but there does not appear to be one available. I have also searched the HP site and other sites in an attempt to locate an alter wireless blotth adapter to replace the B500, but have again been unable to locate one.
Is there a wireless bluetooth apter that will allow me to print wirelessly to my HP Office Pro 8500 from my laptop?

I noticed that your HP B500 wireless bluetooth adapter for your HP Officejet 8500 is not working with Windows 8.1. I am sorry to hear this but happy to look into this for you!
I am not sure if you are using a 32-bit or 64-bit Operating System. But sometimes with Windows 8.1 you can use compatibility mode to install an older version of the driver. Which might help the situation. Here is a link to some other Windows drivers, HP bt500 Bluetooth USB 2.0 Wireless Adapter Drivers.
Once you got a driver downloaded, follow this guide, Make older programs compatible with this version of Windows, on how to install it using compatibility mode. It is not guaranteed to work, but it is worth a try!

Travel Adapter for 130W T530

Hello,
I have a T530, and I'm stuck for what I need to do to get a travel (airplane+car cigarette lighter+AC) power adapter for this system. It has the enhanced graphics, so I use the 130W adapter.
I have the 90W travel adapter from my T500, and I tried connecting it with Power Manager set to "airplane seat power mode" so that it wouldn't blow any fuses and will reduce its power draw. However, when I connect the 90W adapter, it runs off battery anyway and hover over Power Manager shows a tooltip saying that "this adapter does not provide enough power". So, I disconnected, turned off Airplane Seat Mode, and reconnected, and it did run for a few seconds but sure enough blew the 3A fuse in my car.
So, two questions:
1) Anyone know where I can find a 130W+ travel poewr adapter? I want to have 130W when I'm on AC mains, and the option to use DC power, without having to carry two separate bricks. So I need the 130W equivalent of the old travel adapter. I don't even see a 3rd party option like iGo at this wattage.
2) Anyone know how to get a 130W T530 to stop blowing fuses? If I have 3A@12V, that is up to 36W available. I noitice right now while disconnected from a charger that my laptop is pulling 1.4A @ 11.57V from the battery = 16W, so it should definitely be possible to run off of my car's cigarette lighter without blowing the fuse. I was hoping the "airplane seat mode" setting would do the trick... but apparently not.
One note... hardwiring an AC inverter to the battery/alternator with an 11A fuse is not an option for me since I am always in a rental car when using my laptop.

I have a 15A fuse for all 3 cigarette lighter outlets together. My 2-way splitter in one of them has a 3A fuse in each leg, which I am holding, that is now blown after my experiment. Be that as it may, my question is whether there exists a travel power adapter that is capable of outputting 130W when connected to AC mains and also running at any wattage (maybe 130W or lower) when connected to car DC power. Can anyone help with that?
