AC Adaptor Camileo H10

Hello,
I lost the original AC Adaptor for my Camileo H10, that allowed me to charge the camcorder and use it at the same time. Who can tell me where to buy another one ?

I noticed you were looking for another power adaptor for the camileo H10 - did you have any luck as my daughter has lost her adaptor as well - no mention of part numbers in the manual - even if it told me what voltage / amps it used I could try and get a subsitute but the manual is too basic. does anyone out there know? I also tried searching for an external toshiba battery charger within UK but no-one seems to stock it.
If you did manage to get a replacement, Tom, can you let me know how you did it.

Camileo H10 - white balancing doesn't work

I have bought this recorder in December 2008. I have tested some records in interiors an exterior and I found, that white balancing doesnt work.
I can set it as auto or as manual, but all videos are little bit pink. Is it a firmware problem or is it a wrong piece? Where I can get new firmware?

Toshiba has released new update and you can find it on Toshiba support and download page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > Support & Downloads
On drivers download page please choose the follow criteria:
Product type Options
Family Digital Imagin

Operating system OS indepent
Driver type Firmware Update
So there you can find Firmware Update version 1.1. Last modified date is 02/12/08.
In order to provide the best quality, updated Firmware for Camileo H10 to results with upgraded function as the follows.
1. Tune MIC input (Improve the volume of MIC)
2. Tune focus window (Improve the AF)
3. Tune AE to avoid the over exposure
4. Tune color matrix and saturation (Improve the color performance)
5. Tune noise filter (Improve the noise level)
6. Tune WB (improve the AWB)
7. Modify UI string in CZ
Here the steps how to do the F/W (Firmware) upgrade:
Firstly, there are two different language version of UI (User Interface) by EU&UK version and EEMEA version. Please select the proper file based on your preferring language.
- EU&UK F/W ver. 1.1 include: English, Deutsch, Franais, Italiano, Espaol, Portugus, Dutch
- EEMEA F/W ver.1.1 include: English, Czech, Greek, Hungarian, Polish, Russian, Turkish, Slovak
*1.Copy F/W files to a SD card*
- Format SD card. Make sure FAT file system is selected before formatting.
- Copy the F/W files ( zburnT_C10.run.elf and DCIM folder ) to root directory of SD card
(PS: there is another folder and file under DCIM folder, please do not change content of this
DCIM folder)
*2. Update Firmware (Please make sure there is no battery inside the camera and AC adaptor is not connected to the camera)*
- Open panel first
- Insert SD card which has the F/W files
- Insert battery (make sure the battery is full), then plug in the AC power adapter to the camera.
- Press Shutter key when you see press shutter to update to start the update process. During F/W updating the LED will keep blinking. Do not remove battery or disconnect AC power adapter during this operation otherwise the camera will be damaged.
*3. Update Completed*
- The LED stops blinking after the firmware updating has been completed (Please make sure the LED stop blinking)
- Before reboot the camera please remove the AC power adapter, battery and SD card from camera in order to avoid updating firmware again.
- The F/W upgrade had been completed.
Please follow these steps and let me know if everything is Ok now.

Camileo H10 do not write the files to SD card

Hello,
I have bought a Camileo H10 in December. It is a nice cam, but sometimes I record a video in HD format, the file will not stored on the SD card.
I have tried an 8GB class 2 and a 16GB class 6 SD card. This problem caused highly intermitted, when I record a video not the first time in lifecycle.
Another problem is, on the videos, the audio stream is to fast. When the audio is played, the pictures run 10% longer than the audio.
Did anyone knows, there is a firmware update available?

First of all you should check if the SD card is not locked the SD cards supports an lock which would not allow you to format the SD card or to store something on such card.
Furthermore you should take a look into the user manual and should check what SD cards are supported!

Why you need a firmware update? Do you think this is a firmware problem??
I believe that this has nothing to do with the firmware or with an cam problem.
My father has got a HD cam and such issue appeared also with the recorded High definition video.
The problem is that your video must be converted and you need the right codec

Firmware Update for Camileo H10 went wrong

I got a Camileo H10 Camera and wanted to do the firmware Update, but something went wrong, I can't say, what exactly.
But now the Camera doesn't even start up anymore. The only thing that I can see is the small red light in front. But the monitor wont start up... Is there anything I can do, like a reset or something? Or is it now ready for the garbage? Would be a pity...

Im not a Camileo H10 owner but have you tried to remove the battery? Remove it and then wait one hour. Now connect the battery again and try it. Maybe it works.
If not I would go to the nearest authorized service provider. The technicians can check the camera and repair it.

You are speaking about issues well Im not owner of this camcorder but I had 3 different camcorders in my life
Guess what? All these camcorders had advantages and disadvantages
What I try to say is that you will not meant an perfect product for all purposes and for all people
Some people want to have an small, handy camcorder which higher performance battery, great picture quality and super zoom focus etc
I doubt you will get such product for small money
In most cases you have to decide between small, handy camcorder and long battery, high zoom and picture quality
Anyway H20 is the follower of H10 and seems the features have been improved in H20 camcorder

Camileo H10 - bad quality of HD videos

I have been unfortunate enough to be duped by the claim that this camera is 720p HD. Ok I understand it is a cheap camera but it is supposed to be a cheap HD camera. Having set it up to take 720p HD i have never seen such guff!
Picture quality is worse than a standard DV camera, even going through my Toshiba HD TV with HDMI. White balance is abysmal and to be honest I feel that Toshiba are in the process of ripping people off with this toy camera. Why say its HD when the picture quality is so poor. The question I have for Toshiba is how do I get my money back?
It looks as though I am not the only person to have been duped in this way! Hey Toshiba, if you're looking for a way to stop people trusting you and buying products on the usual high quality basis, just release a terrible "High Definition" camcorder. That should do it!! I've been ripped off. Look forward to hearing a reply.

I have a favourite saying, working as an IT manager and constantly having to configure various technologies, and I'm sure most people here will be familiar with it. RTFM - Read The F**king Manual. It's amazing because it tells you how to use and configure the equipment you're using! So thanks for the tip about making sure I have set the cam up correctly but alas it's of no use to me!
I have to ask, are the top guys on here employees of Toshiba? Seem to get very touchy if anything is said against the company! My main aim of posting on here was to warn other people who have bought Toshiba equipment in the past (of which I am one) and been extremely happy with it in all aspects, that this cam is a sham!! Ta Dah! Do not spend your money on this and save for a bit longer to purchase something that actually does the job of HD recording.

How to disassemble the Camileo S10?

I would like to hack the S10 to solve 2 problems:
1) Put a wide angle adaptor
Actually it is almost impossible, but removing the plastic part in front of objective allow to access to cylindrical part of it and fix a wide angle adaptor
2)I need to fit the S10 on a RC model to keeping the camera in horizontal position instead of vertical.
I successfully start to disassemble the camera removing the plastic black middle where the battery is located.
I stop because I have no ideas how to unmount the video display
Anyone have a link to Toshiba Service manual of the Camileo S10 or have an idea how to dissasemble it ?

I think disassembling a Camileo is not so easy and should only be done from an expert.
If something is wrong with your camera you should go to the nearest authorized service provider. The technicians can disassemble it for you and they have such service manuals I think.

Camileo HD video format

Hi,
I bought a camileo hd camcorder and I have problems with the video format saved by the camera.
It's supposed to be an .avi file but on my macbook intel I can't properly play those videos.
Quicktime would play only the audio while VLC would only play the video with no sound.
What the heck is going on.
I've got all the possible codec installed.
Help is very much appreciated.

No, its not the H10.
I'm disappointed with the overall quality of the camera, the HD is just s joke since the optics are not able to provide so many pixels.
But this is not the point.
I have two computers and none run windows. My point is, why does this camera save the files in this weird format so that not even VLC, probably the most versatile video player doesn't play the videos? Why doesn't Toshiba write on the camera box "warning: mac users don't buy this camera!".

Camileo S20 - Is it possible to turn off the screen?

Is it possible to turn off the screen when using Time Lapse or Motion Detection modes so as to save power?

I have downloaded the user manual off Camileo S20 and searched a little bit but unfortunately I can find no informations about turning off the screen when using Time Lapse or Motion Detection. It seems that the screen is always on.
But you can connect the AC adaptor while recording movies. So you have always power. :)

Camileo X150 - Battery will not charge

Hello all - I this week bought a Camileo X150 camcorder brand new. The camcorder only has power when connected to the AC adapter or USB cable. I tried to charge it on Friday, was away for 8 hours, came back and yet the battery had no power. Then last night I charge it overnight, still no power this morning.
I have tried everything possible yet it still does not power up only when connected to AC or USB - perhaps the battery is faulty or I am doing something wrong?
I would appreciate any help with this issue.

You haven't done anything wrong… to charge the battery, you need to connect the AC Adaptor only… then the battery should start charging…
But it could be possible that the battery is deeply discharged (empty) and in such case the AC adaptor should be connected at least 24 hours…
So check it again and if the battery would not charge even if the AC adaptor would be connected for a longer period of time, get in contact with your camcorder dealer…
Maybe the battery / camcorder is faulty.

Camileo B10, What happens if USB is conneted to PC and camera is on/turned?

Manual says that to charge battery camera must be off. Accurate question is how camera behaves if usb is connected (and powered) and camera is on? Is it working normaly, but battery is not chaged or will camera take its power from usb and save battery or what? I'm asking this because I'm in need of camera which should record minimum 4h without interrupts.

I think this is right because common USB port provides 500mAh and I dont think that this would be good enough to charge the battery and to provide power to the display, etc....
Im not owner of Camileo b10 but Ive got a H30 and if the camera is ON, the notebook recognize this as an external storage and as cam. But I charge the battery using the external AC adaptor.

No Apple Remote or Apple Mini-DVI to VGA Adaptor included with new MacBooks

I just picked up a new (black) MacBook yesterday from the Apple Retail Store in Meadowhall (Sheffield). I was quite surprised to open the box and find that the Apple Remote and Mini-DVI to VGA adaptor cable are now optional items and no longer included in the package. Okay, they're not expensive (an extra £30.00 to add both of them), but I just thought I'd mention it to let potential customers know.
I have to say that I'm very pleased at the speed bump and the 250GB hard drive though (you can never have too much space). Also good to have 2GB RAM out of the box (rather than paying an extra £90.00 for the 2GB model). Excellent!

bford0001 - 15% restocking fee? Did you buy it from an Apple Retail store? I bought a black MacBook from them just under two weeks ago (a 2.2 with 160GB HD and 2GB RAM) and they let me take it back and walk out of the store without charging me anything!
One other thing I have noticed - why has the L2 cache dropped to 3MB from 4MB? I know the processor is more powerful, but doesn't that mean it would just about level out, because of the reduction? I noticed the same for the £1,299.00 MacBook Pro and that on the other two models, it's gone up to 6MB. Anyone know how this would change the performance?

Mini-DVI to video adaptor tv connection issues

Could it possibly be with the new software upgrade? I just updated from 10.6.1 to 10.6.2 and all of a sudden my Mini-Dvi to Video stopped working. I'm using my Mini-DVI to VGA without problems at work with the same computer and a few minor adjustments to the display prefs.
Apple says the 10.6.2 update was supposed to correct display issues. Could they have accidentally deleted support for the adaptor while correcting other issues?
Perhaps the cheapest solution to this would be to downgrade back to 10.6. Any advice on this?
I'm running a 2.2 Core2 Duo MacBook from mid-`08.
I also found this article on PCstats http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleid=2147&page=3 that says the GMA X3100 chips do have integrated graphics for analog, s-video etc... so I'm guessing that somebody may have accidentally deactivated the analog features of the chip while writing the graphics update. Only my guess I'm not a programmer.

With your TV hooked up to your Macbook, you should be able to view anything on your computer. If you have all of your pictures in iPhoto, your best option is to use FrontRow by using the remote.
(make sure your displays are mirroring eachother, Preferences>Displays)

There are 3 methods to update the Calendar or defining the period
E-Business Suite and PeopleSoft calendars have these important elements:
Calendar—Identifier for a calendar
Start Date—Start date of the period
End Date—End date of the period
