Ac adaptor power supply needed

I need heeeelp
I have 5.1 PCWorks LX520 speaker , & it's ac adaptor doesn't work
& I searched for alternatives for it put I didn't find any ,
Its details :
2 V , 200 Am ,,, 230 V
it's the same as inspire models [2.1 & 4.1 ]
I live in egypt , how can I get it ?

i also had the same problem?and then after a bit of research i found that AC is not neccessary ! even if you provide it with dc voltage or some other transformer of 2 volt then also it will work.
i have tested mine with my car battery aswell as the charger of remote control car (toy).
remember positive and negative does not matter bcz the bridge rectifier installed in your speakers can easily pass dc current?of any direction.

ok, i've calmed down now and i think everythings sorted. all my files are still there and all applications, the ?'s just needed clicking on in the dock. i found it strange and wondered why my background changed. it's not a big deal, i just changed it straight back, but it made me think if that changed to default what other settings have changed to default? i've only had my mac a week or so, so i can't remember changing anything drastic, so this shouldn't really be a problem.
thanks alot for all the help, i'll know where to come next time i have any trouble. i love knowing that mac's have a good community of people willing to help each other out.

  • MEGA PC 651 Power Supply Needed

Hi wonder if anyone can help. My power supplys fan has died so the system is getting quite warm shall we say (about 52oC normal).
I need to replace this asap and reading this forum there are problems at to extra conections for the HIFI in off mode.
I actually dont use the radio or DVD player in off mode so i am not bothered about these conections.
Anyone know of a UK available power supply that i can replace this defective one with.??

Sorry didnt make it clear. The fan does work if i connect it to a 12v supply, but the internal board in the Power Supply isnt powering the fan.
Got round this by, detaching the fan from the power supply, and splicing it nto a motherboard power connector. Now when i turn it on the power supply re supplies the internal fan from outside supply.

I need the part number and/or specs. for a power supply to fit Creative Lab speakers SBS5. They are a 2 speaker system w/out subwoofer. Anybody have any idea?

Ihave a Tagan 580w U22 with switchable dual/combined +12v rails and it is very stable, set it combined for 35a.
Only thing to ponder was the 4/8 pin +12v/p4 connector, power supply has the correct split 2x4pin connectors so does the board but there is a little removable cover over 4 pins,so thinking MSI fitted it there for a reason I have fitted only one 4 pin connector,no problems as yet.
Think you may well have a point re the 18a.
I have just given my son my old sli platinum/cpu/heatsink/ram/vga card, this setup ran  250/11/4 @ 1.4v & ram 2.5 3 3 7 1.1 @ 2.75v with the Tagan.this setup now fitted in his case but with a dual 18a rail Enermax and he can't o/c stable to the old settings.Case has better cooling than the wavemaster it all came from.
Dont think the enermax is bad just that it supplies the power a different way.

  • Replacing my dv6-1260se power supply, need help.

I am in need of a new power supply for my laptop and was wondering which one would be the best.  i believe my options are the 90w smart ac power adapter and the slim power adapter.  any suggestions?

So what's the issue you're having?
I have never heard that rumor, a volt is a volt, an watt is a watt.

  • Min power supply needed to make Aiport Express work ?

    Hi all,
I plan to install an Aiport Express in my car to plug it to my car stereo in order to be able to use my Iphone 3GS music library.
First, I'm tired to use cables !
Furthermore, my car OS (vauxhall) is not anymore a "compatible device" (sic), even with the latest iOS ... but I've got a jack plug :-/
I plan to plug the Aiport Express to my car stereo throught this jack, and broadcast my music throught airplay. The Airport Express would be electrically powered throught the cigar lighter receptacle, or throught a 12v-220v converter (I'd rather prefer the first solution !).
So here is my question : what is the minimal power supply to make work the airport express ? According specs, 12Vdc 1.8A => ~22W ?
Does somebody can confirm 22W would be enought to make the Aiport Express work ?
    Thanks a lot !

I'm referring Airport EXPRESS ... I forgot that plugs directly ...
The exterme offers other possibilities I don't need ... and is less affordable !
In a car, we only avec DC =>
So I must have  a 12 Volt DC to 220 Volt 50Hz AC inverter, delivering at least 200mA(AC).
Something like this or rather this.
I should find it in a good electronic shop, and this kind of material should be rather small.
I'll also check if these devices provide AirPlay without a wi-fi network... or if somebody can here infirm or confirm  ?
    Thanks

  • Power supply needed for MS-7220 (Diamond Plus) and others.

The following statement is taken form the K8B Diamond Plus Manual.
For ATX 12V power connection, it should be greater than 18A.
If I am interpreting correctly, the ATX 12V connector should have dedicated to it a minimum of 18A.
My first, question is if the Power Supply has two or more rails, how do you know the power dedicated to the ATX 12 connector on the Power Supply?
Second, if a +12V rail is not dedicated the connector, how do you know what is connected to each rail of the Power Supply?
This maybe the source of why many are saying, they have more stable system performance when using single rail Power Supplies.
I have tried eleven different manufactures to get more detailed Power Supply specifications, but no responses; today through February 1st is the Chinese New Year.
Those of you running the K8B Diamond Plus, what are you using for Power Supplies and are you having any instability problem?
One thing I did find curious was that going the manuals and in most all of the newer Socket 939 motherboards have this specification, but nothing in the motherboards specifications of on the MSI Web Site about this required and the are a lot of 500-600 Watt power supplies sold that do not meet this specification.
The statement Total Wattage does not mean a thing has even more meaning to me now.
Are we going to have to know the Current Rating of each cable on the output of a Power Supply now to insure we are purchasing the correct Power Supply?

  • Will this video card and power supply work on my computer? HP Pavilion p6213w Desktop PC

I have a HP Pavilion p6213w Desktop PC, will this video card and power supply work on my computer?

    Power Supply: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4668507&sku=C13-2511
Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

It is unlikely that the power supply will fit/work in your HP Pavilion p6213w Desktop Computer. Please consider the Corsiar CX500, CX500M, CX600, and CX600M for your power supply needs. These power supplies are the same physical size as the factory unit and are known to fit and work in most HP full-sized consumer desktop computers.
There is a chance that the GTX 760 and other current generation video cards may not work in your computer. These newer cards typically require the computer to support the most current UEFI standards and many motherboards don't meet this criteria. Please know the return policy on any video card you purchase, in case it doesn't work. If the GTX 760 doesn't work, consider the GTX 650/660 Ti or equivalent AMD graphics card for your graphics card needs.

  • Sun V210 Server - No Power on Front, Yellow on Power Supply

This morning the server shut off.
There is no power to the front of the server at all, no lights.
On the back, where the power is connected, the light is yellow.
If I unplug the power, wait, plug it back in, it turns Green, but then after a few moments, turns yellow again.
Is this a bad power supply?

Yes, the power supply needs to be replaced.

  • Buzz from the Power Supply

I hear sometimes an anoying buzz noise from the power supply. It doesn't always starts when I boot the computer but after 10-20 minutes most of times it starts. I thought that maybe its a low power from my ups wich is 500VA. I conncecet the mac's AC cable directly to an ac outlet and still the noise exists. Has anyone passed any simiral problem.
    Thanks in advance
PS: Where can I find the Watts that the power supply needs. No specs in this site or in the manual.?

There are dozens of threads on "UPS"
My UPS with Mac Pro, ACD 23" along with modem and router hits 400W and I have APC RS1500VS (which I put in my sig for a reason) and once it gets to 50%+
If all you have is stock RAM and hard drive... get your system off its starvation diet.
I'm just telling you what I know and read and that you can confirm for yourself. Am I sure?
Use your small UPS for home entertainment equipment, monitor and modem and such, not for Mac Pro.

  • Upgrading Power Supply hp pavillion p6744y

Need to upgrade the Power Supply. Just wondering if a 600 watt power supply would be too much for the motherboard to handle. Currently a 250 watt PSU is installed.
    HP Pavillion p6744y
    Windows 7 64-bit

It is highly unlikely that a 750 watt power supply will fit/work in your HP Pavilion 500-164 Desktop Computer. It is also completely unnecessary, as largest graphics card you can put in this computer will never use 1/4 of that power. Please consider the Corsiar CX500, CX500M, CX600, and CX600M for your power supply needs. These power supplies are the same physical size as the factory unit and are known to fit and work in most HP full-sized consumer desktop computers.

  • AGP Power Supply Socket

On the K7 Master-S model (MS-6341) version 1.1 motherboard, does the 4 pin connector from the system power supply need to be connected to the socket on the motherboard in front of the AGP slot labeled as "AGP Power Supply" ?  I currently do NOT have it plugged in because there is NO documentation in the users manual as to what this socket is for.
Is this manditory or optional and if optional, is it dependant on what type of AGP card is used in the slot ?
Is this for providing extra power needs of some AGP video cards ?
I am using 4x "Powered by" ATI Radeon 7000 64mb DDR by PowerColor.
The reason I ask this is because video WILL work correctly when I keep bios setting to 1x/2x as opposed to 4x (video & system will lockup if BIOS set to 4x).

  • Power supply clicks twice when plugged in.

I'm new to Mac however I've been a certified PC tech for many years. I recently purchased my first Mac. It worked fine but needed to have the fans cleaned out. I removed the components and power supply just as I would have done for any PC (I was using heel straps and working on an ESD safe workbench). Upon cleaning the components I reassembled the tower (no left over pieces) and heard two clicks coming from the power supply when I plugged it in and when I unplugged it. After troubleshooting the components individually, and still hearing the two clicks I decided to remove the power supply and test it independently. When I plug in the power supply w/o being attached to the tower I still get the same two clicks (making a relay opening and closing sound) no fans or LEDs come on. Falling back on my years in the industry and common since I decided that the power supply needed to be replaced. After receiving the new (not refurbished) power supply and installing it I'm still getting the same two clicks. At this point due to frustration I break down and call the pros. I called four Mac repair facilities (three third parties and The Mac Store) with a question "is it normal for a G5 power supply that is not connected to the logic board to make a relay open and closing clicking sound" and didn't get much help. Since I'm new to Mac I'm unfamiliar with the characteristics of the hardware. I know that if I were to plug in a normal PC power supply w/o the logic board nothing would happen, but I was told by two of the Mac techs that a Mac power supply would still make the same relay noise w/o being attached to the logic board. The problem is that I have now dropped a fair amount of money in this G5 and I have nothing to show for my investment and I don't know where to go from here. If two of the Mac techs were right then I need to send the new power supply back for an exchange, or if the other two Mac techs were right I need to replace the logic board.
    The specs are:
    1.8GHz Duel Processors
    160G Hard Drive
    600W Power Supply
    2G RAM
    512 Video Card
Any help would greatly be appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Brian M

    Dear Brian,
I'm sure that clicking relais sound is the normal behaviour of every G5 power supply.
Did you use the official service manual for the specified computer? If not, you can download it here (I don't know which of the two files is appropriate for your computer, but one of those certainly is).
The 512 MB video card is not the standard configuration: the maximum amount of VRAM for an Apple supplied ATI or NVidia was up to 256 MB.
Lots of success resolving the problem and regards,
    Robbert

  • Does anybody know if it is ok to use a standard travel adaptor with macbook magsafe 85w power supply?

I am moving to New Zealand and want to take my macbook pro with me.
    I have a Magsafe 85w power supply.
I am aware of the apple travel kit.
Do i need to purchase this, or is a standard travel adaptor safe?
Do i need a lower watt magsafe power supply?
Should i get a grounded 3 prong adaptor rather than the ungrounded 2 prong adaptor that comes with the apple travel kit? Particularly with long term use.
    Thank you all!

The item that is crucial is the connector to the AC outlet.  The power adapter will work from 100 to 240 volts.
    Ciao.
A grounded plug is always preferable.
