ACC Setup Error - Remote Server not Responding in the Proper Manner - Windows 7 Pro

Hello -
I was able to install the CC upgrades to all my software on my laptop without issue. Whenever I try to upgrade them on my desktop I recieve the attached error. I am running Windows 7 Professional. My guess this is being caused my my company's firewall however my IT director claims he set me up to bypass the firewall when trying to install this.

    I have never downloaded Adobe Creative Cloud/Suite/Photoshop basically anything for myself before and have just bought the Creative suite (£15.88/month) and am trying to install it to my computer (Windows 8). I have downloaded the Creative Cloud Set-Up but am unable to get any further than this. When I click on the download, it looks like it is going to download (Adobe Installer, Downloading Creative Cloud desktop and a loading bar) but then it tells me it has encountered the following issues: The remote server is not responding in a proper manner.
    Now, I have been looking online for a solution and I saw something about changing an OOBE file in Program Files x86>Common Files>Adobe and at first there was no OOBE file so after more looking I thought I might have to download the Adobe Application Manager, which I did, but that doesn't work either, it just says unable to Reach Adobe servers, check internet connectivity (don't think there is anything wrong with this, I've not had any ther problems with internet connectivity) and firewall settings (i disabled the firewalls).
    So I really have no idea what to do, the forums and help sites are confusing and none of the suggestions appear to work?!

    If you are behind a corporate network with network restrictions ? If yes, You might want to connect with your IT department and request them to white list the entries for Adobe as mentioned in the article : Creative Cloud Help | About Creative Cloud Packager

  • All crawl jobs are failing with errors, Query server not responding.

    Hi All,
    I'm facing issue with search service , one of the Query server not responding and all the crawl jobs are throwing errors.
    Errors:
    "The SharePoint item being crawled returned an error when requesting data from the web service. ( Error from SharePoint site )"
    "The object was not found. ( Error from SharePoint site: HttpStatusCode NotFound The request failed with HTTP status 404: Not Found. )"

    1. First verify as given in this article - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2323206?wa=wsignin1.0
    2. If not 1 resolves issue then try to disable the anonymous access on the default zone web application(in content source)
    3. Also check this article if above two steps does not resolve the issue - http://www.sharepointtechs.com/the-sharepoint-item-being-crawled-returned-an-error-when-requesting-data-from-the-web-service-error-from-sharepoint-site-value-does-not-fall-within-the-expected-range
    4. If none of the above works then install this CU update http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2596505 and
    then re-run you SP Configuration Wizard and restart your SharePoint Server. But before installing this CU on your SharePoint Server ensure your have the latest backup.
    4. If all above does not work then remove
    the anonymous access (if enabled) and restore the site collection to a new new site.

  • Just resolved Back to my Mac issue called Apple Suppport in the UK and they were really helpful if the error DNS server not responding the problem is with Apple server not your server ( I had tried to reboot by router, restart my laptop etc.

    I was having problem with my Back to my Mac as message was saying DNS Server not responding . I tried to turn my WIFI off, then my router  to no avail. Decided to call Apple Support line in the UK . I got a call back immediatly and great support.  The advisor took over my screen and we check that my laptop was synchronising   with I phots and it was.  The adviser also told that when the message DNS server is not responding next to Back to my Mac is has to do with Apple Server not mine , router etc... Hope this save others some time! Rather than spending time truining on and off changing IP address etc...

    Thanks for your thorough post. I too need to use BTMM on almost a daily basis for my job, and it has fallen short countlness times. I too have taken great pains to check all of the typical trouble shooting steps within iCloud and in the Apple keychain on each Mac etc, but after the latest rounds of system updates from Apple a few weeks ago to Mountain Lion, BTMM on one of my Macs is completely broken and unusable. I would concur that if you need remote access for "real" mission critical use, just bite the bullet and pay for a service like LogMeIn. You won't regret it and you will get real software support.

    We have had a VPN solution in place for many years. We have a Windows Server 2012 Standard edition member server on our domain with NPS/RRAS setup on it. Routing and remote access has always worked fine. There is just one NPS policy which
    is setup to allow connections and authentication is determined on whether the connecting user account is a member of a 'VPN' security group. Our office router, a Draytek 2830 acts as the gateway and is configured to forward the relevant VPN port traffic
    to the NPS server. The Draytek uses port forwarding for a variety of things (IMAP, SMPT etc), and these continue to work fine.
    Late on Friday, one of our remote staff rang up and said she could not connect via VPN from her Windows 7 Professional laptop. When she tried to connect she said that error 718 was displayed stating the remote computer did not respond in a timely manner.
    Today, I have tried connecting from home and I am seeing the same error on my Windows 8.1 Pro desktop.
    I made some configuration changes to the Draytek router in our office last week and had configured it to accept a LAN to LAN VPN connection from a remote Draytek router. This is configured between the routers themselves - additional configuration
    of our Windows server is not required.
    Please note that the LAN to LAN VPN connection has not yet been tested as the remote Draytek router is not in place. Configuration of our office router (the receiving router) is straight forward - you configure a 'profile' (which you
    select from a numbered list), to accept incoming VPN connections, and the profile can be 'on' or 'off'. Today, after I received the 718 error I turned this profile off and rebooted the router but am still seeing the same error. Also, please
    be aware that I had configured this router to accept incoming VPN connections from a remote Draytek in the middle of the week and that remote staff were still able to create 'traditional VPN' connections without any problems.
    I have a backup of the configuration of our office Draytek before I made the changes but cannot apply it until I return to work tomorrow. However, I am not convinced this is the cause of the problem so if anyone has any experience with error 718
    while trying to establish a VPN connection I would be extremely grateful if you could share any tips I might use to troubleshoot it.

    Thanks for your response. The problem was due to me not fully understanding the implications of the router configuration. Under the VPN and Remote Access settings for Remote Access Control you choose which protocols are going to be used for the LAN to LAN
    connection. I had blindly followed the guide which used PPTP.
    What I had not realised was that the guide issued by Draytek assumed there were no other incoming VPN connections.
    Because the router already used NAT to redirect port traffic, selecting PPTP for LAN to LAN disabled the NAT settings for PPTP and staff using 'on-demand' VPN connections were unable to connect because the PPTP was being treated as a LAN to LAN connection. Authentication
    for the connection was failing because the router did not recognise the users' Windows domain account. Also, the there is a small explanatory note stating this will happen on that setting but I had not read it properly.
    Once I changed the LAN to LAN protocol to L2TP and unchecked the PPTP option staff were again able to use 'on-demand' VPN connections.

    We have high security at the company so I'm wondering if there is an issue with the firewall settings not letting adobe in. The progress bar when trying to run CreativeCloudSet-Up.exe only gets to about ten percent of the way before this error appears.
    I've tried the help desk chat and was asked to change the folder name C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBEOLD - this had no effect. I acctually get a registration error now when opening my CS6 apps. Anyone know how to fix this?

    I purchased my 4th macbook pro (late 2013) to replace my 2010model, and to my surprise, there was no remote control included anymore. I don't know since when this started. But I just don't get that, why Apple has to cut corner on such expensive laptops with a price tag close to 3000usd(after tax). I have purchased three macbook pro before including the 2010 model. I found no remote control to be a big disappointment. I am not asking Apple to make anything cheap. But they should have treated generous customers with generosity.

    I do not really know much about this kind of problem, but i may be your internet connection.
    If you are on your own #G network then:
    Go to Settings > then enable "Airplane Mode". Count to 10 and then disable it.
    Then wait patiently until you get a good connection and then try again.
    If you are on a nearby Wi-Fi connection then:
    Go to Settings > Wi-Fi > then disable then enable after counting to 10. Make sure that you are connected and then try again.
    If all else fails, then you need to contact your provider for assistance.

    Frequently, the server not responding at the logins of the users. It's not hanging but not responding. All the Oracle services is running and the Event Viewer not record any error or warning. I need to know if there are someone Oracle log where I can check this. Thanks.

  • Zcm 11.2.4 preboot server not responding

    At least since update 11.2.4 can no longer do imaging. I am pretty sure I was doing imaging fine in 11.2.3a, certain in the 11.2.2 level.

    is not expired, license state shows active for configuration management.
    client does PXE to maintenance mode just fine and I can ping the zcm server just fine by short or long name from the maintenance mode prompt.
    cannot send or receive images, have tried on a couple different systems.
    I don't believe any else has changed in the network except for the ZCM update from 11.2.3a to 11.2.4
    Any help would be appreciated.
