Accepting appointments (.ics) from EMAIL

I am using microsoft exchange server setup for my email. The problem is with the ics file which i get as email attachment. The phone seems to recognize the ics file and i can click on them in the email but it takes me to a blank screen. I am running 3.1.2 OS.
What am I possibly doing wrong and how can I make this work as I think it should?

Is this still the case? Why will Apple not allow the full use of their own software - iCal on the iPhone by allowing us to accept appointments, its so mundane having to sync on my mac just to accpet all the appointments just for them to show up on my iPhone I've even got mobileme and that makes no difference

Mail appointments missing from emails

Is anyone having issues receiving appointment requests from Windows machines where the appointment date and time is missing by the time you open the email in Mac Mail? The information is there if you open on your email provider's website, just not in Mac Mail.

I am having a similar problem. I tried to move all of the mail folders over from 10.4.10 mail and it shows all of headers but every email is blank with no text at all.
Any one have a fix or know what might be the issue. I did the move twice. One time with going in and using the transfer utility and then i did it manually.
neither way has worked even though it has said that it copied over a very large amount of information.

From Calendar Help. The only two ways listed are using the Import command or a drag and drop.
Import events into a calendar
If you want, create a new calendar for the events.Add or delete a calendar
Choose File > Import > Import.
Locate and select the calendar file that contains the events, and then click Import.
Choose the calendar you created or another calendar to add the events to.
You can also drag a .ics file to Calendar. The events in the file are added to the calendar that’s highlighted in the Calendar list.
You might be able to set up and Automator action to do it for you.

Archiving Current Emails and Declining Accepted Appointments

I have one customer who has a recurring Groupwise problem.
Every 7-10 days, when she logs in first thing in the morning, any previously read emails are moved to the archive, including emails received the previous day. Unread items are not affected.
At the same time any appointments in her personal calendar are deleted. Previously accepted appointments are declined and other attendees receive emails saying that the customer has declined the appointment.
The client is GW 7.0.3
I have been through the menus checking Rules etc but no joy. The archive period is set to 21 days.
So far I have re-installed the client on her PC and moved the mailbox to a different Post Office but the problem keeps happening.
I have asked the customer to keep a diary to see if I can establish a pattern to the problem
So far Google hasn't shown me any similar problems anywhere else

The clock isn't getting set forward for some reason is it ?. It used to
be, and may still be the case, that just moving to a future date in the
little Windows date/time applet would trigger the GroupWise auto clean

She has forgotten her laptop today but reports that since I ran GWCheck against her archive she now has several duplicated messages. Also, where an email has been forwarded to her she is unable to open the message that was forwarded.

How can I stop my BB calendar from adding invite updates etc. from email notifications from Google calendar. I get an email & look at it & I am not given the option of accepting or not.

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
Do you have wireless calendar synchronization currently enabled for the gmail account? I would suggest checking under Email Settings.
As well the calendar appointment will appear if it is sent via email but you will need to decline the appointment to remove the appointment.

I want to not have to log into my work webmail everyday and I want to just use MobileMe. I have all my work mail forwarded to MobileMe. The problem is that I don't want to ever have to log into work mail to send a message. How can I fake my from email address to look like I'm sending it from work?

You can't do that with MobileMe. MobileMe's mail servers will only accept senders from their own domains (@mac.com and @me.com). No other senders, not even from configured personal domains, will be accepted.
You will either have to use your companies SMTP server or, if not public available, your companies webmail.

How to download pics from email attachments to photogallery in windows 8.1

I need help! I take pics on my phone..send them to my gmail and then download the attachments to my photos..this worked GREAT in Windows 7. I now have Windows 8.1 and HATE it. it gives me the option as usual to open or save the attached picture but before I could copy and paste to photos and now I cannot! A HP tech found out default to open was Windows Media and help me change that but PLEASE someone tell me the easiest way to transfer these pics from email. Did i mention I HATE 8.1?? Thank you!

Here is a guide that may help you with your problem.
I have to admit that there is a learning curve when changing from Win 7 or Vista to Win 8.1. However, if you use the desktop, instead of the Start page, it is much the same. Here is a guide to help you learn Win 8.1. Also, here is a guide to help you have the computer boot to the desktop. This is the way that I have it set-up. To be honest, I have a HP laptop with Win 8.1 and a HP desktop with Win 7 Pro and don't have any problem switching from one to the other. If you have more questions about using Win 8.1, please ask.

And no matter how many times nor what I change the password to I cannot log in to purchase music.

I tried "resetting" my password, but b****y iTunes just keeps asking me for ANOTHER password, and won't accept the password I want to use! I'm getting mighty fed up with iTunes - I'm a senior citizen, and my memory isn't as sharp as it might have been, so passwords HAVE to be fairly simple and OBVIOUS to me. I can't just keep thinking up new passwords because they are getting more and more irrelevant, and I will NEVER remember them.
What am I supposed to do now?
I can't use my iPhone when I'm out of the house, because it won't recognise my new email address and password. I can't use BTFON because it needs my password, which I can't get iTunes to accept.
I can't get the bloody thing to do anything, and although it cost me £600 when I bought it 2 years ago, I'm not very happy with it any more because I just can't get the thing to do anything.

Multiple from: emails with exchange account?

Hi:
I use gmail for my mail, which allows me to have multiple "from:" addresses, which I need for several different purposes. When I had this set up as an IMAP account on my iPad (iPhone, too), I was able to enter in the settings for that account multiple email addresses,and mail would allow me to choose which one to use in each message (yes, it would use a default, which I could then change as needed)
I then changed my setup to use gmail as an exchange account (google recommends this). I entered the same list of emails in the email field in settings for the account, and it saved just fine,
I then noticed that mail would not let me choose any but my default address, and when I checked in settings, it had removed all but the first email I listed.
Is there a way to get the iPad's exchange account to accept more than one email address?

Adobe Reader shutdown while "Saving As" PDF from email.

I have some annoying problem. While I'm trying to "Save as" PDF document (opened from email - Outlook) I can see "Save As" widnow for few seconds and then whole program just shutdown... I don't know what to do. I had Reader IX and the problem occurs, now I reinstalled software to XII version and for few hours it works fine but then it come back...
I tried also to accept license again and it doesn't work form me.
I have go Windows 7 32bit, Outlook 2007, Adobe Reader XI.

It is better to use the Outlook function Save Attachments, than opening it in Reader and save it from there.
Anyway, Reader disappearing: try to disable Protected Mode [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)].

How to transfer multiple pdfs from email to iPad ibooks

Is there any way to transfer multiple files from email or imessage to ibooks on an Ipad?
currently email opens each one then have to click on top to open in ibooks. I have over 50 files and expect more to come. I have tried hooking up ipad to the macbook that sent the files and put into ibooks that way, but it would require syncing all my media files.
Icloud and airdrop have failed me miserably for PDFs transfer to my ipad.

I don't know if this will help you, but for PDFs on my IPad I use either Note Taker HD or EverNote. Both are available at App Store. However each one is a pay for app. Note Taker HD app is a one time fee. EverNote is monthly. There is also
FileApp Pro. These are the apps I use. So I have immediate access to any and all PDF's in a second or 2. Note that these are my personal preferences only. Hope this helps. Cheers.

A few more details might help, if nobody else recognizes this.
What happens when you try to open the links?
Can you post an example of a link that doesn't work?
Is there any particular source for the mail with the (bad) links, or is mail from all sources failing?
If you happen to know it, what's the format of the mail message? (Maybe the message is an image?)
Do the embedded links work as expected from an OS X system running Mail.app, or some system and some other other mail client?
To view the link in iOS: if you press on and hold your finger on an embedded link in most contexts, iOS will show a pop-up with the link contents, and will offer to copy it. You can use that to acquire and post the link. If pressing and holding on the link doesn't offer the pop-up, the format of the link itself may not be valid, or it might not really be a link.

Hyperlinks from email, pdf and word no longer work to connect to that webpage, though they work in IE.

I think I recently updated firefox, in any case, I do when requested. Just in the last few days, I can no longer make hyperlinks work from email, word or pdf documents. I have to cut and paste the url. I tried doing the reset under troubleshooting, but it did not work. I tried setting the network connection to auto detect, but that did not fix it either. As I can get hyperlinks to work with internet explorer, I assume it is something with firefox. I am not a particularly savy computer user, so clear instructions would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Try to redo the default browser (i.e make IE the default and then let Firefox do it again).

How do I save photos from email to the photo library? I've seen an online demo of users that hold their finger or thumb over the image for a few seconds and a "save photo" window option appears. That doesn't work on my 6-month old iphone. It's version 1.1.4 (4a102) ???? Help! Anybody with an answer?

Never mind. I figured out the 2.0 update. My system wasn't updating I-tunes...and the I-phone update option window was hidden behind some other system information. I figured it out. The download, install and re-synch took about an hour. Lots of horror stories out there about people trying to activate their new I-phones. Glad this worked for me!
