Acces element in a ChildSymbol created progamatically

Hi,
after hours reading API and forums, I'm still stuck doing the following.
First I create Child Symbol of order in my Symbol Content which in on main comp.
sym.getComposition().getStage().createChildSymbol("order", "content");
In my Child Symbol order I got a div element named step1 I would like to get control on.
sym.getComposition().getStage().getSymbol("content").children("order").$("step1").html('m y Text');
What is the common path to access ChildElement create by creatChildSymbol ?

Dynamically created objects return their reference. You can use them later.

I do not think that I am completely focused into this completely, so let us see if the following is going to help.
You are going to need a base for your button. When you mention "image" button, I am assuming that you are using that term to differentiate between a text button and a thumbnail type button.
The menus (main and scene) take their origin in .psd files on the hard drive and strict nomenclature and structure for Layers Palatte. And, the buttons on the menus trace back to the menu markers on the Timeline, main menu marker and order of placement of scene markers. The scene thumbnail will only appear when there is a scene marker on the Timeline to which it.
In view of all that
Where have you already inserted this "image (button)"...into the Layers Palette of a Photoshop document or other? Is this "image (button)" in a structured Layer Group in the Layers Palette with sublayer groups, text layers, graphic/background layer"?
Let me give you an example
If you have a button (with thumbnail) on the main menu and you want that to open to a specific scene in your movie, then you use a main menu marker on the Timeline at the spot that you want that button to target.
If I am getting closer to what you seek, then please further clarify the DVD navigational envisioned scheme.

If I send the PDF file that has been automatically converted to a PSE-10 the person I send the file to can not open it because they do not have PSE-10. What can I do to stop PSE-10 from converting my PDF files? Don't tell me to upgrade PSE-10 I tried their on-line program and it is too advance for a hobby photographer like myself and their Help Desk is impossible to reach.

WBS element to remain when creating a quotation with ref

Hi ,
I have a requirement , when a quotation is created with reference to another quotation the a new WBS element should not be created instead it has to be the same as the one of the reference quotation . Is there any exit or routine where i can code this ?

Can you please let us know, which type of P&L accounts should not be created as Cost Elements in Controlling . . .
We have list of such accounts which are not to be created as Cost Elements. Pl let us if the list is correct or not.
Cost Elements should not be created for the following.
1 Change in work in process WIP
2. Cost element for cost of goods sold transactions. (P&L Accounts maintained in OBYC > GBB > General Modification VAX)
3. Production order variances. (P&L Accounts maintained in OBYC > PRD > General Modification PRF)
4. Do not create any cost elements for financial and tax expenses if you want your CO-PA structure to stop at earnings before interest and taxes
5. Price Difference account should not be made as cost element.
Please explain for situation where COPA is implemented and where COPA is not implemented . . .
Any guidence in this regard will be of grate help . . .

Your list is not viable.
See, cost element only can be made for P&L item.
U can't make cost element for B/S item.
For P/L item also , u need to understand company's policy and requirement.
In your list
change in WIP is a B/s item so it is not a cost element item.
O ther Gl like cost of goods sold , generaly no company follow this GL as such head is a part of costing sheet reporting .
U need to asssigne GL which is related with that head in costing sheet.
Any way your gl like price difference, Prod order diff etc must have cost element . other wise U will get fake report on Controling.

Cost elements need to be created for those you want assign in your cost component structure.
Secondary cost elements for over heads material, Production with category - 41,
Cost elements for WIP calculation (All costs, Material costs)- 31 category
Cost elements for RA.
Primary cost elements are some how need to be created for the P/L accounts.
secondary cost elements are which are used inturn used for production process like over heads etc.
Why you are worried about GLs & cost elements not to be created.
Which are require you create them.

First are you going to use the same keyword/categories hierarchy in the same Elements version (or newer)? If so, using the backup/restore process will also restore your hierarchy.
If you want to create the same hierarchy in an older Elements version, it's possible to save that hierarchy in a special text file and to restore it in the new catalog in the destination computer. It's also possible to restore it in another catalog in the same computer.
Look at the title bar of the keywords panel. Next to the '+' sign on the right, you see a small icon which opens a menu offering the option to save or to restore the text file.

When you installed version 10 did you convert your previous catalog?
If so, your projects should appear in the PSE10 Organizer. To search for them type PSESS into the search box.
You should then be able to open the project by double clicking on its thumbnail.
Then choose Output >> Edit in Premier Elements

PSE7 "Photoshop Elements could not finish creating your E-Mail message."

Since I upgraded to PSE7 from PSE6 I am no longer able to send Photo Mail using Outlook 2007. I get the message "Photoshop Elements could not finish creating your E-Mail message." Outlook is and has always been my default email client. I do not want to use Adobe's email service.

Calling an array of childSymbols created in compositionReady

Hi, I'm creating a little puzzle game for fun, I've created a symbol and this is cloned into an array with createChildSymbol 9 times (3x3 puzzle) in document.compositionReady event of Stage. Every element of array store data of id, row, and column.
Then the first, I need to declare by code click function for each element of array or is enough with primary click event of parentSymbol? if is necessary how it's made?
Once this, how I access to this array when user click on any childSymbol for get data stored? how do I know which childSymbol (of nine symbols) has been clicked?

How to fill in Element Name box in Create Symbol Script?

I'm trying to follow Adobe's directions for creating a Component Symbol so I can change the properties later. They say, " 9. Click the plus button to add an element name. 10. In the Element Name box, type the name of the element to customize. For example, to customize the text field named "label," type "label".
Here are my problems. Fireworks (CS4 - Mac) won't let me type anything in the Element Name box. The only place I can type is in the "property name" and "value name" boxes. I also have a limited list of properties to chose from in the "attribute" dropdown.
So I tried using one of the attributes and saving, without anything in the Element Name box but Fireworks said the box was blank and wouldn't let me save it. It wouldn't let me add text there and wouldn't let me save it without text there. Kind of frustrating. What am I doing wrong?

Yeah I wish the attributes were a little more intuitive to work with. I always get confused between brush.diameter, brushcolor, fillcolor!

Premiere Elements 7 crashes on creating slide show

Hi Gurus,
I use Premiere Elements 7 for about 2 years and it works fine when I need to create a film from set of video fragments.
But I also need to create slide shows from pictires.
For some reason PRE7 crashs on building such slide show (at least, this is valid for a long enough slide show). It happens not always on the same slide, but approximately at the same percentage of the slide show to be built.
I run PRE7 on Windows XP, SP3 32-bit
What may be a reason of this crash? Conflict with some other software, installed on my computer? Lacking resources (I have 4 GBytes of memory, but Win 32-bit uses only 3.25 GBytes)? Known bug?
I tried to install the trial version of PRE9, but the result was even worse: it crashed even more quickly than PRE7. i.e. less slides were processed before the crash.
Any suggestion that can help to solve this issue will be appreciated.

If you can handle smaller numbers of large images, but not larger numbers, it is likely a resource issue. It could be RAM, Virtual Memory, or similar.
This ARTICLE might be helpful for setting up your computer for an editing session, and freeing as many resources, as is possible. This ARTICLE discusses Virtual Memory.
PrE 9 will have about the same resource requirements, or might use a bit more, so a large number of large still images will remain a problem.

Photoshop Elements 3: Can it create latch hook rug patterns?

Can Photoshop Elements 3 create latch hook rug patterns with a digital photo? or some other way?

Thanx for your suggestions. I'm too busy to try them right now but in a few days........I want to create a graph pattern with each pixel its own color (maybe use symbols for the colors?) and print it out. I'd have to print out a dozen 8.5 x 11 sheets for a decent sized rug. Then I'd hook it onto a blank canvas. 4 strands of yarn (pixels) per inch, horizontal and vertical. I'd like to use a digital photo.
