Accesing address on the web

Can someone please tell me how I can access all the address in my iMAC mail program from the Comcast web site? I check my home e-mail from work (through the Comcast site) and sometimes need to send out group mailings immediately to people who are in my home address book. How do I do that from work without typing in all those addresses?
Jeanne

I tried it the first time exporting using current field settings. It allowed me to change the .txt to .csv and import them. However, it listed all the addresses as unkown. No e-mail address or name was listed. Just 300 unknown tags.
Then I tried it again and exported using the Outlook template. I changed the .txt to .csv but when I chose that file in the Comcast web site it automatically added the .txt again to the file and then I got the message I cannot import anything that is not a .csv.
Still banging my head.....

This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
    * Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

In Firefox 4 you can use one of these to start in <u>[[Safe mode]]</u>:

  • What the IP address does the Web Server get?

    Hi all,
We have a scenario like this:
    Client——>Proxy(like squid)—........—>Web Server( 6.1 SP7)——>Application
We know that the Web Server will get the remote IP address, and set as proxy-ip in HTTP Header.
But, what the exact remote IP address does the Web Server get? The IP of the Proxy? or The IP of the original client?
If we want to get the original client IP in the Application, what do we need to do?
    Thanks!
    Shen

Look at the documentation for customized logging
    http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/821-1497/gdsxf?l=en&a=view
Basically, you configure a custom log file format in SJSWS
And instead of using the variable: %Ses->client.ip%
you will use something like the variable: %Req->headers.X-Forwarded-For%

  • Map a (street) address from the Web?

I must be missing something. Is there no way (other than remembering it) to map an address you find on the web?
On the desktop, the Google Toolbar does this nicely...one of the things Google got with Maps when they acquired it. Surely Steve could hit Eric up for one more bit of technology, no?
Since there's no way to select text, much less a clipboard, these really need to be made into links by Safari.

    There are several ways.
The easiest way: If you have your address book set up, tap on an address in your address book. This should bring up a map with a red pin.
Click on the red pin and you get more options. Like you can make it a bookmark within Google Maps so it is easy to get driving directions to or from.
Also, when in maps, you can type Address, State, Zip in the box at the top and it will bring up a map (which you can then bookmark, place in your address book, etc.)

  • My Client Admin wants to access the server by its IP address using the web Browser

    Dear All,
    I am new admin.
I have created a Virtual Server and I have configured an IP address provided to me by the NW admin.
So now I have to request the NW admin to allow this IP to be remotely connected through remote desktop connection.
If this IP is allowed for the Remote Desktop connection then can I enter the same IP address in the Browser's address bar and access this virtual server on the
    Local Network.
If Yes, then I am very happy to know this info.
If no, then please provide me steps to make this IP accessible through the browser's address bar (on the Local Network).
Please provide me necessary info as I have to make this task completed as Instructed by the client.
    Best Regards,
    Ahmed

    Dear Sir,
Thanks for the reply and support.
My Question: Rather than opening the "Remote Desktop Connection", Can we directly enter the IP address of the server in the browser's address bar and login to
our server on the local network?
If we cannot login to the server by entering  the IP address of the server in the browser address bar by this method, then what is the method to login to our server by entering the IP address in the browsers address bar.
Note: I just need to do it on the local network only.
Please show me how to do it.
    Regards,
    Ahmed
By enabling RDP, you are enabling remote access to the desktop where you can login and have a Windows Desktop. I have seen in another thread you created that you would like your developer to be able to administer a Website remotely. In this case, that is
something different. If you are using IIS then you need to check your Bindings and make sure that you do have an administration portal that you can access to make changes remotely.
For IIS questions, you can ask them here: http://forums.iis.net/

  • How do I display the web address within Adobe PDF Reader 10 & IE 9 64-bit?

Until a week ago, I was using IE 9 32-bit version together with Adobe PDF Reader 10.    When I would try to open a PDF file from within the browser, it would and the Web Address would continue to display at the top of the window while browing the PDF document.  I could then continue using IE 9 and move on to other pages and etc...
Now, I have swtiched to using the IE 9 64-bit version.  What happens now is that when I enter an address in the web browser and it's a direct link to a PDF file  example:   https://www.technicalindicatorindex.com/newsletter/bpdf/TII_Newsletter_1686a_10.11.11_7055 475115.pdf   ), it opens up with no problems, but I no longer see the IE 9 Web Address shown anywhere.  So in essence, that page becomes a Adobe PDF program window and I loose my IE 9 access.   I guess the PDF files are no longer displayed within the browser (althought I have it check ON).
    Am I missing something?

I did write there, but no replies
I guess that with Adobe Reader 10.1.1 running with IE 9.x in x64 bit mode, you cannot open the PDF within explorer, as it does it outside it as a separate Window?
    Correct?

  • How to change the web service address of NetBeans generated WS client

I am currently experimenting with web services using netbeans and Sun Application Server.
Basically I am creating simple web services using net beans and then deploy them on the app server and then create another pfoject with web service reference to that web service to invoke the service.
My problem is when a project is deliverd to the production site the the client applications web service reference will need to be configured to refer to the production web service address. But when I looked at the generated web service client code the address is hard coded.
How can I change the address to the web service of a web service reference created in net beans either using some configuration file (without having to recompile the client) or at runtime.
    Thanks in advance

  • Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (mf)

whan i try to download anything i got the msg: Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (mf)
    any help pls?

Does this happen often, or just on one specific link? It sounds like the link on the web page is broken and contains "mf:" instead of "http:".
If it's a public website, can you post the address of the page containing the link? If not, you could try to report the problem if there is a feedback email address on the web page.

  • Open the web application in the client browser

Please. I am newer to Oracle. I have MS 2000 Server installed, then Oracle 8i 8.17 standard edition release 3 installed and 9ias installed.
The computer is using 192.168.1.2 as IP address.
Follow the guide, I have created a database. I used Netscape 6.1 and go inside of http://mydomain.com/pls/portal30 to logon as single sign on to create some forms based on the tables created, where mydomain.com is something unqualified domain and never register at internic.
However, except the computer I am using can see this web-page in a browser, all other users in the same local area network will result as "Page not found". But, strangely, if I type http://192.168.1.2 only at the other workstation's browser, I can the first page which is showing "Apacle..."
Can anyone help me to solve how to make other workstations can see the page across the local area network. Some information is:-
    1. DNS server has installed in this computer but no server has been added.
    2. The primary and secondary DNS server is provided by local ISP
    3. I only have a single IP address of 192.168.1.2 and one default gateway ip address of 100.100.1.50
    Much thanks

How does the client know the address of the web server.
You said it's not in DNS, then you must put it in the hosts file on the client.
When you go to the ip address the apache page shows. OK then when you enter /pls the portal will redirect to the FQDN which the host cannot resolve. Hence the page will not appear.
Is this an intranet??? or do you need internet access to your portal??? ( if you do need internet access then is Win 2K secure)
If it is an intranet then you must look at your internal host name resolution. If it is an intranet then why use a FQDN??? our portal intranet uses a hostname only and WINS (NT4) to supply clients with the address. using the Hosts file is even quicker.
Once you have sortd out the hostname resolution problem then Netscape /ie on the client must be configured to bypass your proxy so that they can access the intranet portal server direct (otherwise they will look up the address on your ISP's DNS).
    Hope this helps.

  • Retrieve IP address for the website

    Hi again,
anyone know if there available to create a program that can retrieve the IP address of the web pages. Please, this will help me much.
    thanks

    Correction:
Servers have IP addresses, web pages do not.
A web page is content, a web server is a computer. Only computers, and other networked DEVICES can have addresses.
www.server.com will have an IP address
default.html will not have an IP address

  • My hard drive crashed recently and i can no longer see my web site address in the iWeb side bar

I can n o longer see my web site address in the iweb side bar, how can I relocate it so i can edit my website

Let me start with the general advise...
When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
    (1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
    (2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site, try either:
    * right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
    * Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
In the dialog that opens, you can remove the site's cookies individually.
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

  • What is the difference between https: and http: at the beginning of the web address? Does this effect security when looking onto bank accounts?

New to foxfire, and not very computer savvy. When enter search for bank account noticed the the web address came up with a http: rather than an https: as it normally does when I search from safari on MAC, or even at my PC at work. Not sure what the difference is but if it is a security thing than foxfire is no good for my use.

In Firefox 4 and later you no longer have the Status bar that showed the padlock in previous Firefox versions.<br />
The padlock only shows that there is a secure connection and doesn't guarantee that you are connected to the right server.<br />
So you might still be connected to the wrong server if you make a typo in the URL and someone has claimed that mistyped URL.<br />
The functionality of the padlock has been replaced by the [[Site Identity Button]] on the left end of the location bar.<br />

You can use this extension to get a padlock on the location bar.
