Accesories- Z or Z1 works for Z1S? Also- headphone question

Yes, I'm going for lamest question of the year.
Looking at purchasing a case etc. I didn't see one at the Sony shop specifically for the Z1S..but I'm assuming anything for the Z or Z1 would fit?
On the headphones- do any of them have a volume control where you can adjust left vs right? Or maybe that's on the phone itself somewhere..
This is my first "smartphone". So far I'm impressed, and not sure why all those "professional" reviews whined about the screen/display not being that great. I've even read not being able to view it from an angle keeps things a bit more private.

Headphone jack only works for right half headphones

I had connected my MacBook Pro to a set of speakers using the headphone jack. Ever since then when I use headphones the jack only outputs sound to the right side. There is no red light coming from the jack and I've also tried resetting the SMC but nothing has changed. Any ideas of what it could be?

I had the same problem but fixed it....go to settings , then scroll down to General, then scroll down to Accessibility , then scroll down to where it says L______________R , you will see a circle and blue line, drag this circle as it controls sound for left and right, it should sit in the middle of L and R , if it sits all the way on L or R it affects the sound coming out of the L or R earphones ,

Auto_lexer (stemming) not working for other languages(other than english)

We are planning to use AUTO_LEXER instead of MULTI_LEXER and observed that stemming is not working for German where as it is working for English when I use AUTO_LEXER. I even used query templates but of no use.
But when i use MULTI_LEXER, creating sub lexers for German and Enlgish, Stemming is working for German also after changing the session language and setting stemmer of wod list to German (Which is expected).

this doesnt work even after changing the session language. My default Sesson language is AMERICAN.

According to the online documentation, Oracle only supports stemming for English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Japanese. Oracle does not support Russian stemming, although you may have gotten some accidental results, due to identifying it as a different language and applying stemming rules for that language. The following manual sections show the languages available for the index_stems attribute of the basic_lexer and stemmer attribute of the basic_wordlist:

I don't work for Oracle, so I don't know why they do things the way they do.
So, you need to stick with the basic_wordlist for stemming, not the lexers. However, you may get better performance by combining the multi_lexer with the basic_wordlist, as the multi_lexer eliminates time spent on automatic language detection. But, you need to remember not to use the index_stems with your lexer, since it will conflict with the wordlist. I am not experiencing any time problems as you have. Please see the demo below. I have provided the whole script below that, so that you can reproduce it on your system. If you still have problems, then it may be due to differences in versions.

Hi. i have read and tried everything. I am using a Linksys BEFW11S4 wireless access point router. Firmware version 1.44.2. i am trying to set it up so if someone wants to wirelessly use the internet (laptops, etc), they would need a password. should be simple, but its being frustrating...
i have tried to set the WEP to mandatory and set the passphrase to something and then when i try it out on my mac laptop, it doesnt work. i also tried doing line 1 of the key codes it generates and that didnt work either. this is per instructions.
i would grealy appreciate if someone could help me in this problem. i just want to be able to secure my wireless network so the only people in the apartment building that can use our internet would be me and my roommate on our laptops. thanks.

hi gizzy, what i ended up doing was making it 128 bit under wep and it gave me a code which was pretty long. then when using my mac, for wireless type on the network i chose 128 bit hex. i typed in the code that was generated for me and it ended up working to make my wireless secure. unfortunately its not some easy password i can remember, but it worked. i just had to write it down. let me know if this works for you. also, if there is anyone else out there who knows how i can make it an easy password that i can remember and have it work, please let me know.

This isn't an issue. Notice the screen prior to the one that shows usage has an iCloud section and a Manage Storage button. For this button to activate ios needs to download a few kb from icloud. Switching back to this screen forces ios to download those few kb.

There's no reason you can't go on using iWeb for this - with iWeb '08 you have to publish to a local folder (i.e. on your Mac) and then upload the contents of the folder (not the folder itself) to your hosting service: and you have to make sure you enter the new URL in the Publish information or the feed won't work properly; this done, an iWeb podcast should work fine.
Of course there is still the problem that iWeb is not supported and sooner or later a system upgrade may break it. You could look at RapidWeaver: you can make podcasts with that, though the last time I looked into that - which was admittedly some time back - I didn't feel it was ideal for this. There are lots of other podcast creation programs or services around. WordPress is OK but it may be a bit of a steep learning curve: Libsyn is an online service that seems to work reliably. Blogger writes messy feeds but does usually work. Podcast Maker used to work well - I used it myself a few years back - but it rather looks as if it's gone moribund and it may not be reliable with Lion/Mountain Lion, so you would want to check into that.

WiFi will work, cellular will work but they may not be able to access LTE, they will have to send it back to you for the warranty work.

You can use a download instead of the disk as an alternative: Adobe - Download free trial version Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 | Adobe you can license with your serial
Please test the disk in another windows machine to check if it's caused by the drive or the disk. If you tested with 2 drives please start a support case, i assume Adobe will only provide downloads at this point. They are the same as the trials. If you still need a disk you can burn the trial to a disk as a backup disk. Good luck!

My iPhone 4 will now sync with iTunes both in its USB-connected mini dock and over Wi-Fi. It's unfortunate (negligent programming on the part of Apple?) that the upgrade to iTunes 11 did not remove all of those files as part of the upgrade process.

I am having the same issue....Same address for years - same as USPS - I tried 5 times (3 macs and 2 iPhones) and now i have 5 CHARGES for 1.00 each on my credit card. I took the credit card info off so they don't charge me anymore. How can they charge me yet still not allow me to download free updates and say I have an invalid address? Sorry for my typo. Ofice 2008 will continue to run on Leopard and Leopard includes Safari 5.0.6. A G4 s an old machine and you will not get much speed when surfing the internet.
Leopard is no longer avilable from Apple, and costs around $200 on eBay or Amazon.
