Access 2007 integeration with SAP
Dear All,
We had integration with MS access to SAP. We used to access SAP through MS Access from our desktop.
Now we are not able to do the same after SAPGUI Version upgrade.
We are now currently using SAP GUI 710 .
Please advice us on this issue.
Thanks

Crystal can only use the top level password. If you have a system password I don't believe that will work, never has.

Accessing local clipboard with SAP GUI for HTML - alternatives?!?
I need some creative suggestions (PLEASE!!!) to a problem that weu2019re having replicating functionality that works in SAPGUI but which we canu2019t get working in SAP GUI for HTML.
In SAPGUI we are able to open an external browser and pass a URL for the page we want to open. Once the page is open the user enters some data and receives a response which we then copy to the local workstation clipboard. From within ABAP we then read the clipboard contents and then copy them in to a field in the SAP screen. It works BRILLIANTLY!
However, Iu2019m not able to get the same functionality to work in SAP GUI for HTML with method CLIPBOARD_IMPORT of CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES. Apparently this class and the methods can not be used in SAP GUI for HTML u2013 however OSS note 314568 seems to suggest otherwise with this statement:
Clipboard access
In SAP GUI for HTML it is not possible to:
- read or write the clipboard using ABAP Objects class CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES.
This limitation no longer exists with ITS 6.20 Patch 23, SAP Netweaver 2004 SP 19 and SAP Netweaver 2004s SP 10.
Has anyone been able to use the class CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES to read from the Clipboard since this statement was made in this OSS note?
And my bigger question u2013 does anyone have a creative idea for a solution that will work?Thank you experts,
Your answers have been really helpfull, we have to try another method, by Studio Program or ABAP code, unfortunely we have to implement this in so many computers, so is impossible to configure one by one.
Thanks to both, and have a nice 2009!

Access 2007 : Dealing with multi-values
The only option I can find has been to export any multi-value tainted tables as text for future reference, then delete all those columns in order to convert the database to 2003.
Is this the best approach?Benjamin,
you can try the following:
(1) make the :ac bind variable public in the Customization Form Display Options tab. This way the :ac bind variable becomes the ac public portlet parameter;
(2) create a page parameter and name it ac in the Parameters tab of the page properties;
(3) wire the ac page parameter to the ac portlet parameter. This ensures that your portlet receives the page parameter value from the page URL;
(4) read the parameter value in the portlet's code. Here you have two options:
- read it in SQL statement:
<ORACLE>select * from hr.employees
where department_id in (:ac)</ORACLE>- read it in PL/SQL block by using PL/SQL API:
<ORACLE>
declare
l_names owa.vc_arr;
l_values owa.vc_arr;
begin
wwpro_api_parameters.retrieve(l_names, l_values);
htp.p('Number of portlet parameters: '||l_names.count);
htp.br;
for i in 1..l_names.count loop
htp.p('Parameter name: '||l_names(i));
htp.p('Parameter value: '||l_values(i));
htp.br;
end loop;
end;
</ORACLE>Hope this helps,

Opening and populating a PDF form with VBA code in Access 2007
I had posted this in Acrobat Windows. It was suggested this (and the SDK forum) may be a better forum ...
I'm trying to load and then populate a PDF form programmatically using Access/VBA. I'm patterning this after code that worked fine in Acrobat 5.0 but is throwing errors in Acrobat 9. We're using Access 2007 on Windows XP and Vista computers.
The Access project has a reference to Adobe Acrobat 9.0 Type Library. Attached is a jpg showing all the references in the Access project.
The error "Object variable not set (Error 91)" is happening with this statement:
Set PDDoc = AVDoc.GetPDDoc
Here is the code I'm trying to use. I've always been a little fuzzy exactly which objects need to be created and the sequence they need to be created in. Once I got it working in Acrobat 5 I left it alone.
Dim WshShell As Object
Dim myApp As Acrobat.AcroApp
Dim AVDoc As Acrobat.AcroAVDoc
Dim PDDoc As Acrobat.AcroPDDoc
Dim PauseTime, Start
Set WshShell = CreateObject("Wscript.Shell")
' run the Acrobat application within that shell and pass it a document name
WshShell.Run "Acrobat.exe C:\Users\Christian\Documents\data\dist5\dist05_face_only_nh.pdf"
'// Set/Get Acrobat Objects
' create an automation object that references the active copy of Acrobat
Set myApp = CreateObject("AcroExch.App")
' reference the acrobat document we loaded above
'Set AVDoc = CreateObject("AcroExch.AVDoc")
Set AVDoc = myApp.GetActiveDoc()
' this apparently runs some method available to AVDOC
Set PDDoc = AVDoc.GetPDDoc '<------------------ THIS IS THE LINE THROWING THE ERROR
' this is how you reference the JSObject
Set jso = PDDoc.GetJSObject
' let's clear the form
temp = jso.resetForm()
Set x = jso.getField("txt1_name")
x.Value = "Bing Crosby"
Set x = jso.getField("txt2_sex")
x.Value = "Male"
Set WshShell = Nothing
Set myApp = Nothing
Set AVDoc = Nothing
Set PDDoc = Nothing
Thanks in advance for any help.
Christian BahnsenUsing the "Developing Applications Using Interapplication Communication" reference, I've been filling in knowledge gaps and baby-stepping until I hit this major wall. FYI: from page 22 in the reference
Example 2.6 Displaying “Hello, Acrobat!” in the JavaScript console will not work as shown in Access VBA. I've tried the example in both Access 2003 and 2007. The sample code as is throws error 91 (see attachment error91.jpg), "Object variable ... not set".
I add Set to the following 3 lines:
Set gApp = CreateObject("AcroExch.App")
Set gPDDoc = CreateObject("AcroExch.PDDoc")
Set jso = gPDDoc.GetJSObject
Running the code after adding "Set" doesn't throw an error but it does crash Access every time. (see attachment error_reporting.jpg)
Any suggestions?
Here's the entire code snippet:
Private Sub cmdHelloAcrobat_Click()
Dim gApp As Acrobat.CAcroApp
Dim gPDDoc As Acrobat.CAcroPDDoc
Dim jso As Object
Set gApp = CreateObject("AcroExch.App")
Set gPDDoc = CreateObject("AcroExch.PDDoc")
If gPDDoc.Open("C:\chris\acrobat_test.pdf") Then
Set jso = gPDDoc.GetJSObject
jso.console.Show
jso.console.Clear
jso.console.println ("Hello, Acrobat!")
gApp.Show
End If
End Sub -

Crystal Reports access to SAP/CRM 6.0 with Integration with SAP Solutions
Hello,
we are running Crystal Reports 2008 with SAP CRM 6.0.
To boost productivity or Report writeing we need especially access to:
- Function Modules
- the CRM Business Objects Repository (Transaction SW01).
What kind of SAP/CRM ( or SAP / ERP ) Objects can be accessed with the Integration for
SAP Solutions ?
The BO Documentation [BusinessObjects XI Integration for SAP Solutions User's Guide|http://help.sap.com/businessobject/product_guides/boexir31SP2/en/xi31_sp2_bip_sap_user_en.pdf] does not give a clue if this is possible.
However, Ingo Hilgefort stated in his book that it is at least possible to access ABAP Functions, SAP Querries and SAP InfoSets.
What is the minimum product portfolio and the necessary Version - Can I install the following products stand alone ?
Crystal Reports 2008
Integration for SAP Solutions
Tomcat / Jaco
or
Must I need at minimum BO Edge and must install the CMS Server ?
Thank You

Access 2003 vi's compatible with Access 2007?
I will be doing some access DB work and am wondering if the vi's that worked with Access 2003 (XP) will work if the targeted computer has access 2007 installed? The computer may have XP, Vista or 7 depending on where I run it.
I have to get an answer so we may buy the software before I start the project.
What caveat's if any would I possibly run into?
Thanks

Access 2007 ADP to SQL Server 2012 with extended protection
Hello,
I have a Access 2007 ADP client connecting to an sql server 2012. This works fine with standard security configuration, but when I activate extended protection on the SQL server, the Access client cannot connect to the server. I am using integrated security
with a domain user and get the error message
"Login failed. The login is from an untrusted domain and cannot be used with Windows authentication."
In sql server logfile I find:
"SSPI handshake failed with error code 0x80090346, state 46 while establishing a connection with integrated security; the connection has been closed. Reason: The Channel Bindings from this client are missing or do not match the established Transport
Layer Security (TLS) Channel".
Is there any "easy" solution other than developing a new client based on an up to date Office version or Dot.Net?
Regards,
charles-fWell, I have no problem connecting to the sql server from my pc using ssms with my domain account. I have also sucessfully create a odbc connection using the "SQL Server Native Client 11.0" driver and my domain account. My account is in a trusted
domain, so this seems not to be the problem.
To me it rather looks like if Access is using an old driver which does not support the tls encryption required by the extended protection settings.
regards, charles-f
