ACCESS CONTACT LIST DURING A CALL

HOW DO YOU ACCESS YOU CONTACT LIST DURING A CALL?

While on a call, just press the HOME button - this will keep your call active. Then press your CONTACTS. To get back to your DIAL PAD, just swipe down the top bar to get to the active call and select it.

  • On an iphone 4s, when I tap the phone number in my contacts list instead of calling the number it goes to a "Welcome to mail screen" how do I make it call the number instead?

On an iphone 4s, when I tap the phone number in my contacts list instead of calling the number it goes to a "Welcome to mail" screen with icloud, Microsoft exchange, Gmail, Yahoo, Aol & Windows Live Hotmail listed beneath. How do I make it call the number instead?

Never heard of that.  I suspect it thinks that's an email address and you're seeing that screen b/c you don't have an email account setup on your iPhone.
Assuming the number is valid, try a reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

  • I can't access to internet during a call

i can't access to internet during a call. Whenever i try to access to internet it says "you can not access to internet during this call"
After this i ended the call and tried to access to internet, and i did it.
Do you know why this is happening?

Himm... but i have my friends from same carrier. I tried this problem with my friends on the call. They told me "we can access to internet". For that reason i don't think that my problem is this.
    It might be something different.

  • Viewing call list during a call

Currently i'm using iphone4s with latest ios. It seems ios doesn't support viewing of the dial list during a call. More specifically, if you earlier dialed a number which is not saved in phone book, you can't see that number during next call. This seems bad. I had to tell the last dialed no to the person whom i was talking in the ne t call. I really had to disconnect, check/memorise the number and call again. I checked with latest windows, its missikg there as well. Any clue?

I just tested this out on my phone and your correct you can't view the call history while on a call.

  • Can't access CONTACTS list

Just recently I can't access my list of Contacts on the Hub phone.  When I press the Contacts button it just shows the symbol that whirrs round saying 'Please Wait'.  I also get this if I press the button to access the list of received or dialled calls.
I have reset the Hub, taken the batteries out of the phone and re-inserted them, switch the Hub off at the mains and back on again.
    Handset software version: v1935i006f007 - Type A
    Hub: 2.0 Type A
It seems to me that, after years of using BT hub phones, they occasionally develop hiccups - it's nothing that you have done.  It doesn't matter what you do to rectify the problem, it rights itself in its own time.  In other words they have a mind of their own!

    Hi eggo22
It may have occured due to a firmware update being sent to your hub.
"After your Hub 2.0 firmware has been updated, you may experience some limited functionality of your Hub Phone 2.1, such as not being able to access your contacts list. However, this will be for less than 24 hours while a software upgrade for you Hub Phone is scheduled. After the Hub Phone has been updated, you will get full functionality"

  • E5 - Can't access contact list

Just got a new E5 and having a problem where the contact list won't open at all.
While trying to access the contact list via the menu/shortcuts, it blinks for a second then returns to the previous screen.
I've done a power cycle, soft reset and updated the phone firmware/software. None have helped.
Any ideas on how to fix this? Or did I just get a faulty phone?

This is a known issue on some of the earlier versions of E5-00 devices. It has been fixed on the device software version 042.007. Could you update the E5 device software to version 042.007 by SW update (Menu > Ctrl. panel > SW Update) or via OVi Suite.
Another option is to change Contacts to use Phone memory (Contacts > Options > Settings > Contacts to display > Phone memory). The error appears if only the SIM memory is selected.

  • HT201229 How can I access a list of incoming calls from a blocked number

How can I access a call log of incoming calls from a blocked number on my iphone?

Calls from blocked #'s won't go through, so they won't be listed on your device.

This was working fine up until the phone was upgraded on my 5s
Has any one else had the same problem, and if so do you know of a fix?

  • Adding caller with name and number from call list to the contact list only inserts the number and not the name

I recently bought a BlackBerry Z10 and moved my cell service to Rogers to take advantage of the name display service offered by Rogers (Fido also offers this service).
Due to the number of calls that I receive from first time clients, I wanted the name display service to help me know who was calling. Evidently it is impossible to add clients to my contact list before they call me so I'm constantly seeing numbers that have no name to help me decide if I want to answer the call.
When I try to add a caller from my call list to my contact list, only the number gets inserted in the new contact. The name needs to be entered manually.
I understand and realize that not all call display formats are the same and that it's virtually impossible to parse the first and last names from the name portion of the caller id.
However, I would like to see BlackBerry add the functionality to insert the name portion of the call entry from the caller list to a "Nickname" entry in the contact list just like it adds the number to a "Home", "Mobile", or "Work" entry in the contact list.
If a user doesn't have a name display service, there would be no change to how their contacts are added because there is no name variable to copy over.
Can someone from BlackBerry please let me know if this feature can be added to BB10 and when it can be added? For me it's an obvious feature that should just work.
I am really enjoying my Z10 but I'm feeling let down that something so logical and helpful is not supported out of the box.
    Regards,
    Marc

    Hey ViciousFerret,
It appears that you are not aware of the fact that both Rogers and Fido offer name AND number display service (although the name display feature is an add-on service) and have been offering it for many years (since 2006). Here is a link to the name display service description of each provider...
    http://www.fido.ca/web/content/manageyourcalls/calldisplay&lang=en
    http://www.rogers.com/business/on/en/smallbusiness/products/wireless/addons/valuepacks/
As you can see from the link below, Rogers and Fido have been offering this service since 2006.
    http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20060914005951/en/Teams-HP-Rogers-Wireless-Fido-Succeed-North
My BlackBerry Z10 shows both the name and number when someone calls (and the caller is not in my contact list).
All I would like is for the Z10 (and Q10) to support the addition of the name and number from the caller list to my contact list without me having to type the name. As I mentioned in my original post, to avoid the OS having to parse the first name and last name from the name portion of the caller list entry the name could simply be added to the contact list as a "Nickname". If your provider only has number display, nothing would have to be copied from the name variable in the caller list to the contact list.
I find it difficult to believe that BlackBerry would not be aware of this name display service since it's been around since 2006 with both Rogers and Fido.
I hope I have clarified the reasons why I would like to have this feature added to BB10 and how it's surprising that this simple feature is not already a part of the BB10 OS.
Either way, I don't think this is a difficult feature for the BlackBerry team to add. They're just copying a 2nd variable from the caller list to the contact list.
I'm surprised that Rogers hasn't asked BlackBerry to add this feature to their phones. I think it would be a popular feature for those who receive a high number of calls from first time callers.
How can I get this feature request to BlackBerry for their consideration?
    Cheers,
    Marc

  • Hello! Ever since I upgraded my iPhone 5s to IOS 7.1, I am unable to access the iPhone Keyboard if I access contacts the recent calls tab. I am also unable to access the keyboard if I want to search for a contact as long as I went through the recent calls

Hello! Ever since I upgraded my iPhone 5s to IOS 7.1, I am unable to access the iPhone Keyboard if I access contacts using the recent calls tab. I am also unable to access the keyboard if I want to search for a contact as long as I went through the recent calls tab. Has anyone a fix for this problem? If you want to try it out, do the following?
Dial a number from your iPhone Keypad. After cutting the call, try to save the number you just dialled to your contacts by choosing the new contact option. You will see that you will not be able to key in the name of your new contact.

    Works fine for me.
Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.
