Access Embedded File Error

Hello,
We have some PDF files embedded in some of our Access Databases. Our users with only Reader installed can open the files just fine; however, when the window is closed, an error comes up with the explanation:
OLE Server may not be registered. To register the OLE Server, please reinstall it.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling every version of Adobe Reader from 6 to X with the same outcome. However, upon trying the full version of Acrobat, the error went away. This is also the case on another user's computer with Acrobat 8 installed who accesses the database.
My question is this: Is there a setting in Reader that will cancel out that error? Or alternatively, is there some reason why Adobe Reader has that issue with Access when Acrobat does not?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure I can help with your specifc error but I can offer some observations. WinHelp was never designed to be viewed over a Citrix (or any other) server. It is really only supposed to be run locally. Also as WinHelp is a dying art form these days it is unlikely many people on this forum will be able to help, not least because of the way you are using the help.
Personally I'd advise you against using WinHelp except when it is locally based. I appreciate that this causes you untold difficulty if you are about to release, but that is the way it is.

i have built my netbeans project and obtained the hequalifies.jar file . unfortunately when i'm trying to run this jar file from the prompt command I'mgetting the error: unable to access jar file

here I have two WFS servers and they configured with load balancing in F5 .
when I enable both servers in F5 I receive this error messages in 2nd server,

Do you have antiVirus installed on the sharepoint servers?
These folders may have to be excluded from antivirus scanning when you use file-level antivirus software in SharePoint. If these folders are not excluded, you may see unexpected behavior. For example, you may receive "access denied" error messages when files
are uploaded.
Please follow this KB and exclude the folders from Scanning.

Recovery in progress may need access to files error

Dear all,
I was shown the below error when trying to drop a tablespace TBS1.
DROP TABLESPACE TBS1 INCLUDING CONTENTS;
DROP TABLESPACE TBS1 INCLUDING CONTENTS
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-01156: recovery in progress may need access to files
i donot have any backups for the database, and the database was running in NOARCHIVELOG mode for the past one year.
The datafile associated to this tablespace is offline (actually the original datafile which occupied 33GB of space on the machine UNNECESSARILY was dropped, and this datafile /u01/app/oracle/.../datafile/MASTER_TBS1.dbf is created and associated with TBS1).
When I try to bring it online, the following error message is being shown..
ALTER TABLESPACE TBS1 ONLINE
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-01113: file 8 needs media recovery
ORA-01110: data file 8:
'/u01/app/oracle/.../datafile/MASTER_TBS1.dbf'
Now I need a tablespace with name TBS1 to import objects from some other database. (All those objects were defaulted to tablespace"TBS1" on that database.)
Please help me find a solution.

You could do an
ALTER DATABASE DATAFILE <fileid or filename> OFFLINE DROP ;
for each of the datafiles in that tablespace before you attempt to drop the tablespace.
Of course, be very careeful with what fileid/filename you specify -- you wouldn't want to drop datafiles of some other tablespace -- you wouldn't be able to recover them or bring them back online !

"access unnamed file" error; search tab not working on Citrix

Hi folks,
We have a WebHelp project and a WinHelp version of the same project, generated in RoboHelp 8 and we're having some weird problems with it.
Problem 1: When the WinHelp project is viewed via a Citrix server, the full text search tab comes up blank gray. When the project is run locally it works fine. Anyone had experience with this or have any idea what it would take to solve it?
Problem 2: When you select one particular menu item from the app (others work), it does not launch the help. Instead you get the following error:
Release of product is imminent. Gloom abounds. Has anyone seen this before? Can you help? Thanks.-Sandy

FB 4.7 publish in flashIDE workers not sending/receiving + FB 4.7 access to embedded files

Alright, this have been a painful day trying to solve this and I am pulling my hair out.
So I decided to download the FB4.7 trial for some test with AIR13, and after an indecent amount of hours trying to install the latest player and android sdk (why the hell isn't it like in the IDE?), I have 2 major issues and so far not impressed at all by FB4.7.
I have developped a project using the Flash IDE. Everything works perfectly BUT the workers. I don't get any error message, and my app doesn't trace the messages I'm supposed to receive from a worker. To be sure I coded that properly, I created a test project in FB4.7, copied pasted my code and my worker is working and I can trace messages sent and received from the worker to my main app. Why don't i see these traces when I fire my app from the IDE ? If i can't test workers in the IDE, this is a major issue. It doesn't even throw any error, just doesn't trace anything.
Sooooo because It wouldn't work in the IDE, I copied my files to another location, created a project in FB4.7. If I run/debug in FB4.7 the worker works, but now I am unable to access embedded files in the app. In Flash IDE, I embed a folder that contains a bunch of files, and can access the file with 'app:/folder/file', which was very usefull because I have a ton of assets and this is the softest solution not to have a stupid class with 200 [Embed.. ] ******** hardcoded lines.
So question 1 : how to have worker working in Flash IDE ?
And question 2, if question 1 is a no go : since I do not want to modify my working code (in the IDE), how can I have the same behavior debugging from FB4.7 when it comes to using 'app:/' ?
Also, just a notice about this sketchy forums, If I go back to my own post, the view count increment (lol). Let me know if this is coded in CF cause it looks like someone doesn't know about sessions

Error publishing "Application with runtime embedded" file

I am trying to publish an "Application with runtime embedded" file out of Flash Pro CC. I am getting an error that I think indicates that certain necessary files that get packaged with the SWF to create the App are not able to be copied. The error message occurs at the end of the process after the SWF file has been published and after it has tried to gather the AIR files.
iMac 27" 3.4 GHz Intel Core i7, 8 processor cores, 32gb ram, OS X 10.8.4

Please let us know, which Player Target you are trying to publish to : AIR for Desktop/AIR for Android.
Are you trying to use AIR3.6 or any other SDK using Manage AIR SDK?
If possible, provide the scenario file so that we can repro the issue.

Hi folks,
I just recently upgraded to Final Cut Studio and while my first week of working went smoothly, I'm now beginning to have a weird issue. Whenever I export a clip to work in motion without embedding the motion content, and then try and import the new motion file, I get the following error message:
File Error: 1 file(s) recognized, 0 access denied, 1 unknown.
I'm using the standard steps to export and import the clip, and what's more I was initially able to do it with no problem. I've already downloaded all the relevent updates, and I've also tried creating a test user. The test user gets the same result. Even weirder, occasionally (though not everytime) despite giving me that error, I will discover that the video layer did import as it's own sequence instead of as a clip, and with none of the motion elements.
My apps are installed on a PowerMac G5 DualCore 2.3 GHZ, I have a gig of ram, and my scratch disk is an external dedicated Firewire drive.
Motion files will import if they originated in motion with no video layer, but that's kind of a drag when the whole point of having all these apps in one box is to be able to keep your workflow streamlined.
I've seen other posts with error message, but I couldn't find any answers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The only other things I can think of are: 1) try re-installing QuickTime by deleting the QuickTime related receipts (In /Library/Receipts) downloading the installer from http://www.quicktime.com/ and running it... and 2) have you done the "Pro Apps" update? Search the Motion Forum for a link. Which brings me to my final thought - ask your question there. You'll find more Motion experts there that may offer new thoughts...

Which permissions do i need to have on the folder/file on the qnap to import the .pst-file?

Move your PST files to a windows server. Exchange Trusted Subsystem is a universal group in Active Directory.

Word 2007 and 2013 always show this error
This object is corrupt or is no longer available while clicking a embedded files( like pdf, doc and xls). I tried reinstall office 2007, and office 2013. But still have same problems.
I surf internet, find out solution like turnning off the add-on, but not working for me, and I do not install Norton AntiVirus.
Does anyone know what the solution of this issue is, I do not have any idea right now.

Access denied. Error in File C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\

I have searched on Google and all over this forum and none of the solutions have fixed my problem.

When I run my app locally through the Web Server that comes with ASP.Net, everything is fine, it is only when I deploy the application to the Windows 2003 Server that I get the error.
I'm using impersonation in my ASP.Net application. I have given that domain user full access to 'C:\Windows\Temp'', the export folder and even the folder where the Crystal Report resides on the Server. When I run the application on the Web Server, I actually see the ".rpt" get created in the "C:\Windows\Temp" folder but yet it still says there is a permissions error.
What is bizarre is that the code below that just sends the file to the printer automatically works:

As a last ditch effort, I granted "modify" to the Network Service Account on C:\Windows\Temp and that fixed the error.
There are two things that are troubling about this:
1) I'm impersonating a domain user in my ASP.Net application and when the PDF is created, the owner is that domain user, so I know impersonation is working. So I wonder if ASP.Net picks and chooses what account it runs under at different times?
2) It is a little scary for the Network Service Account to have this access but that people seem to be fine with it.

Error while trying access video file in KM Content

Hi All,
I are having an issue while trying to access video files located in KM.
When we try to access the file we get and error : getting content of document failed: /usr/sap/pa8/SYS/global/config/cm/ep/content/73/47/6176162974773.CONTENT (no such file or directory)
The file is a .wmv file and has a size of 49 MB. Whereas some other files of size 34 MB opens up with no issues.
This is happening on production environment but the same works fine in pre prod environment.
I am trying to access the file from Content Administration -> KM Content
This issue is happening for multiple files of larger size in that environment. Please suggest how to rectify the issue.

Also, if your VM has snapshots and you delete it, you must wait for the snapshots to finish merging - the VHD files will be locked until then.

not having any JAVA_HOME env var. Did some checkings and :
- one machine was having Java libraries because of DB2
- the other machine was a fresh Win2003SP1 with SQL Server 2005
guess can set JAVA_HOME to C:\Hyperion\common\JRE\Sun\1.5.0 before installing Essbase, but also guess it's a documented/automatic step... wonder what I'm missing ?
doing the most basic-mode installations (defaults, automatic deployments), once I get them clean will perform more sophisticated ones. Searched the 9.3.1 doc PDFs without useful findings.
