Access Exception after starting Managed Server
After Starting the managed server in our one of the domains we are getting this
following exception.Actually we are using JCA Adapters(Clarify and MQ).So after
starting servers it is trying to access these adapters and corresponding application
views.

One not so good solution I ever used is to remove the managed server and reinstall/configure
it.

License file missing exception while starting managed server
Hi,
I am trying to start a managed server on the same machine as the adminstration
server. There are no problems starting the admin server but when we try to start
the managed server , we get a "Missing License File" exception. The license file
is valid for clustering also.

a another server as ManagedServer.These two points to the same Weblogic server.

I suspect reason for this might be weblogic.policy file. There you need to edit
some lines replacing the location of the directory in which you installed WebLogic
Server. I did this but still error occurs.
Do u have any idea why above error occurs and if it is due to the weblogic.policy
file entry please tell me how it correctly done.

(It was me and Berit that sent the original question).
After some experimentation we saw that the managed server did get
some configuration from the admin server, so the problem was in
there somewhere.
I had added an (empty) cluster and machine to the admin server, just
to test adding. When I removed them everything worked fine afterward.
So it was some kind of configuration error from our side, but we never
did find out what it was.
I guess the lesson is to only define things when you really need them :-)

NalikaI don't believe that you can use the same server definitions for both an admin server and a managed server. So, you'll need to create a second server that is your managed server with a different name or
just run with the admin server.

The JCA Binding Component is unable to startup the Resource Adapter specified in the <connection-factory/> element: location='eis/DB/DemoConnection'.
The reason for this is most likely that either
1) the Resource Adapters RAR file has not been deployed successfully to the WebLogic Application server or
2) the '<jndi-name>' element in weblogic-ra.xml has not been set to eis/DB/DemoConnection. In the last case you will have to add a new WebLogic JCA connection factory (deploy a RAR).

was working fine. Then I added some classpath parameters and now I had to restart
the managed server so that the classpath changes will be applied. Here I started
getting the following exception and the managed server is not starting at all.

node manager did not hear from the managed server in the configured timeout period.
Despite this, if the managed server has not failed, it will come up and the node
manager will start monitoring it. To adjust this timeout so that the task does
not fail prematurely, please refer to the node manager property ScavangerDelaySeconds
(Default value : 180 seconds. Current value : 180 seconds).]
I also verified that nodemanager is working fine.

I have installed Oracle webcenter Portal 11g on my local machine.
Started admin server successfully

When i tried starting Managed server WC_Spaces,WC_Portlet,WC_Collaboration & WC_Utilities.

This is just to confirm , when you started AdminServer for first time , did you create boot.properties file yourself ? . Second are you able to log in to Admin Console using the same username/pwd ? Also are you able to start manage servers from AdminServer console ?

Problem in starting managed server
hi all,
i have configure a admin server and 3 managed server. after i startup the
admin server and node manager , i start managed server in admin console, but
got a list of errors as follows:

Starting managed server with nodemanager
Hi there,
Please help me with the weblogic server installation, i've studk with failed to start managed server with node manager. My scenario as below:
(1) set up the main server and able to run the server successfully.
(2) set up one managed server, set up one machine on same server as main server.
(3) assign machine to created managed server.
(4) after that i've tried to run that managed server and error giving as below:

Cannot start Management Server
Hello,
I have just installed a database and run EMCA, and everything seemed to go fine. However, the ManagementServer service won't start. I hate to make this such a long message, but below are the contents of the oms.nohup file after the error.

When the Database Configuration Assistant allows you to change the passwords for the database on its last dialog, take the default passwords instead of changing them.
Note:
Do not change the password for SYS. The Enterprise Manager Configuration Assistant assumes that the password is "change_on_install", and if you change this password now, when the Enterprise Manager attempts to login using those credentials, it will fail. You can change the password as soon as the Enterprise Manager Configuration Assistant has completed its operations, because it no longer needs the SYS credentials.
