Access hotmail
Hello together!
I was looking lots in this forum and i found some posts about this topic but I didn't really get if it still works with hotmail or not.
So pls give me some links or just tell me how I can access to my hotmail account. I just want to send mails from there.
I don't want to check anything just logon and send a mail.
Is it possible in Java, if not is it possible in C++ or C#?
Thanks a lot for your help.
I would really appreciate any kind of help.
Is it possible to open the browser and fill the 2 textfields and logon and then to go to inbox automatically or at least to log on.
Or any other method to help the user to send a mail.
Thanks a lot.

rying to access hotmail account but it is taking forever to get into hotmail it was working ok at start of week only yesterday and today have a problem with it
You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
*Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
*Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
*Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

Windows Live won't install on my mac. Can't Access Hotmail.
I have MSN as my home page and access my email there with a link to Hotmail. In the last few days, the site has been changed and now when I try to access Hotmail, I am redirected to a new window indicating that I need to subscribe to Windows Live. When I download the file, it disappears from my downloaded files and therfore I cannot install it. I can access my Hotmail through a regular PC and have not been asked on a PC to subscribe to Windows Live. So, it would seem the problems lies with the Macbook, but I'm not sure.
Can anyone assist me?
Thankswait. i'm trying to download windows live and it won't even let me get to the web page, on safari or firefox.

No, not that I'm aware. How/Where can I check this?
The only think I've done recently is install a different antivirus program and uninstall the old one which had expired. Not sure if this is linked to the problem...? -

Can't access Hotmail. Help!
Internet is working fine and have access to all other websites I've tried. On laptop and desktop, I get a "connection was reset" message when I try to get on hotmail. However, I can access hotmail through my mobile. I have already cleared cookies and cache, which hasn't helped.
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
* "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
* "Remove the Cookies" from sites causing problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Using Java Mail to Access Hotmail
I'm writing an organizer program which currently handles contacts and a personal calendar. I want to add email functionality, starting with Hotmail access, since that's what I use.
Could you folks please point me in the direction of tutorials on how to access Hotmail or other HTML-based mail services using Java's Mail API?
thanks,
AndrewJavaMail can be used to write an email application with an HTML interface like HotMail.
You will need some kind of mail server. POP3 does not support multiple folders on the server, all you have is an "inbox" and there is not supposed to be any way to push messages from a client to this folder (although some servers will allow you to do it).
If you are using a POP3 server and want to have multiple folders, you need to provide space on the application server which is running the servlet/jsp for the system.
You will also have to put together some session management for the HTTP/HTML pieces to know who the user is and what account on the mail server the user accesses.
Then you will need a file manager for managing the actual messages/files after they are taken off the mail server and placed on the application machine.
If you use an IMAP server all you need is an application server which will provide the interface that you want to write. Message management, in terms of message storage and folders, is built into the server and the JavaMail API provides an interface to it.

Why can't I access hotmail anymore? It won't let me sign in.
Hello,
This morning when I checked my hotmail account twice using Firefox, I had to enter my ID and password (which I usually don't have to do because that info is automatically saved) both times. Then, this afternoon I could no longer sign in at all and received this message:
The Windows Live Network is unavailable from this site for one of the following reasons:
* This site may be experiencing a problem
* The site may not be a member of the Windows Live Network
You can:
* You can sign in or sign up at other sites on the Windows Live Network, or try again later at this site.
I tried using Internet Explorer instead and I was able to access hotmail with no problem. How do I fix the problem with Firefox?
Thanks!Maybe the parental control is activated for the guest account? Have a look in System Preferences -> Parental Control.

http://hotmail.comHello.
It's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not caused by one (or more than one) of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] (don't forget to select ''Disable all add-ons'' when you start safe mode). If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. See [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes this article] for information about troubleshooting extensions and themes and [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting+plugins this one] for plugins.
If you need support for one of your add-ons, you'll have to contact its author.
If the problem is not disappears when all add-ons are disabled, please tell me, so we can work from there. Please have no fear of following my instructions to the line, as all can be easily undone. -

Accessing hotmail via password each time on IPAD2
I have added hotmail to my IPAD2, howvere I only want to access via password entry each time. Can anyone help?
I know of no way to do what you want using the Mail app. Perhaps remove the account from the Mail app and access Hotmail with Safari as webmail.

It happened suddenly. After that, I reset computer to an earlier date. Did not fix problem. I reloaded Internet explorer, Version 8. Did not fix problem. I can access Hotmail from another computer without problem. I think I changed something in tools that might have caused the problem. All fixes and virus checking are up to date.
Appreciate any help you can provide.

thank you for your response. I will try Snow Leopard this evening. Made some progress. Set up Entourage for mail and redirected Hotmail through it. It appeared to work. However, I have noticed that I cannot sent messages to any hotmail.co.uk or hotmail.com account. They remain in the Outbox and there is a message to say that the Hotmail server has failed. All messages to other providers are sent without any problem. Thank you and I will keep in touch. Helen -
Accessing HOTMAIL from my IPHONE.
There has been a problem with accessing hotmail in the last few days. I'm seeing that as of today, the problem is supposed to be fixed, (says that on Microsofts website) but i STILL cannot access hotmail from my iphone! HELP!
It appears Hotmail is having issues with mobile access to their servers:
"Hotmail is working for all web users and POP-based accounts. Some mobile device users relying on EAS (Active Sync) may see problems accessing their email, calendar and contacts. We are working to restore their access."
"Fixing the problem is taking longer than we hoped. We'll provide an update by Jan 11 12:00 PM. We apologize for the lengthy interruption in service. Jan 10 12:05 PM" -
Access Hotmail email on IpodTouch
Hi there
Has anyone come across this problem....?
Until today I accessed Hotmail email with my IpodTouch without problems that is until I downloaded and installed the new software 2.2.1.
Now if I try to access Hotmail I get a lovely message that says "we were unable to sign you in with your windows live ID. For help fixing this problem visit http://live.login.com on your PC (the latter is an intended insult from Bill's deputies). The thing is and naturally of course, there is NO help whatsoever on the live.login page, except for something that asks me to register my mobile device (but my Ipod touch is just that, it's not an iphone with a phone number !)
Any suggestions of how to access my once accesible hotmail account, gladly welcome. And yes I know I could auto forward all my mail to my mac.com or gmail account, I just don't want to have to for many reasons.
