Access Manager console url

I am accessing the oam console via its hostname:port/oamconsole and works fine.
This is fine for internal access, but to access it from external network need to provide/publish
a separate url.
Where should one configure this externally published url to access oam console
- on Load Balancer or OHS server?
External network ---- Load Balancer ---- OHS server ------ OAM server
OHS server with mod_wl_ohs pugin would act as reverse proxy for OAM server url?

You could use either method. Note 1327863.1 gives details on using an OHS proxy (it also includes front-ending the OAM managed server urls in this way), and http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E27559_01/install.1112/e27301/webgate10g.htm gives details on how to additionally protect the OHS proxy with a WebGate, if required.

  • Remote Access Management Console - configuration issue with Network Location Server

    2012 Std R2
The remote Access management console operation status shows  all green except for network location server .
Error: There is no response from the network location server URL. DirectAccess connectivity might not work as expected, and DirectAccess clients located inside the corporate network might not be able to reach internal resources.
    Resolution listed as:
    1. Configure the network location server on a server that is highly available to clients on the internal network.
    2. If the network location server is running on the Remote Access server, ensure that IIS is running, and that the URL is available.
The remote access server is located on this server. IIS is running. What URL: show I be looking at?
Any other thoughts so I can get remote access working.
l also am getting a remote access error for IPV6, could this be a cause:
RoutingDomainID- {00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000}: Unable to add the interface {D37062B2-A3E0-4496-A459-9E0BBCE5423C} with the Router Manager for the IPV6 protocol. The following error occurred: Cannot complete this function.

    Hi John,
please follow the steps to reinstall TCP/IP stack.
1.Restart your PC into Safe Mode with Networking.
    2.
Edit your registry. Delete the following keys:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Services/Winsock
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Services/Winsock2
    3.
Open the nettcpip.inf file in your %winroot%/inf folder
    (%winroot% is usually c:/windows).
Find the [MS_TCPIP.PrimaryInstall] section. Change the Characteristics value from 0xA0 to 0x80.
Open the properties of the network connection you want to fix. In the General tab, click on the Install button. Click on the Have Disk button, and point the location to %winroot%/inf. After that select TCP/IP (not version 6).
    4.
Now you would notice that you can uninstall TCP/IP!
Do that, then restart the PC.
Go back to your network connection, and install TCP/IP again as per the above. After another reboot, you should be up and running.
I also noted that the XP network repair tool may yank out the ISA 2004 firewall client stuff. Just run the firewall clinet repair or install it again to fix that problem after you did your reboot. Before you do this kind of crazy stuff.
    5.
This along with a TCP/IP reset using the netsh command:
    netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt
wish you have a nice thanksgiving too

    Mike

  • Getting error while opening Sun access manager console

We are facing problem while accessing console of Sun Access Manager. We got No Page Found error whenever we try to access the Sun Access Manager console. We have tried restarting the directory server and web server but even that doesnt help us. Following are the error that gets recorded in log files:-
ERROR: AuthD init() com.iplanet.dpro.session.SessionException: AuthD failed to get auth session
ERROR: Error creating service session java.lang.NullPointerException

The ns-slapd.exe process belongs to the Directory Server. You should therefore check if your DS instance is set up properly.

  • Lanuch Remote Access Management Console with a connection to a remote server

I've installed the Remote Access Management Console on my Windows 8 workstation so that I can administer DirectAccess on a Windows Server 2012 server without having to connect to it with Remote Desktop. However, every time I launch the console I have to
click "Manage a remote server" and enter the server name. Is there a way to launch the console with a command-line parameter that opens the remote server automatically?
I've tried running ramgmtui.exe with the name of the server as a parameter, and I've also tried running "ramgmtui.exe /?" but the console doesn't launch at all when called with any of the parameters I've tried.

    Hi,
Have you installed Remote Server Administration Tools?
You may use Server Manager to Manage another server. Once you add a server, it will be listed in All Servers. So you will never have to enter the server name.
For detailed information, please view the link below,

  • Problem accessing management consol

I lost my ability to access my management consol and now can't log into it.
I can still access my StoreCenter px2-300d as a network drive, but when I put in the url 192.168.x.x(internal to my network) my web browser says it cannot find the device.  My router still sees the device and gives me the url#.  I did a reset.  I also downloaded the Lenovo software which supposedly allows me to access it and set it up.
I don't know what happened.  Did a file become corrupt?
    How do I troubleshoot it?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

    Hi a2scotty,
There could be many issues causing this to happen. I would recommend backing up your data from the device as soon as possible before proceeding to troubleshoot the device.
Just to clarify, can you access the web management console from the Storage Manager software? Or do you not have access only from the web browser? You may need to update your web browser or try a different browser.
Please reboot the device if you have not done so already.
How long did you hold the reset button for? First try holding the reset for four seconds. If it does not reboot, try 15 seconds. If it still does not respond try 30 seconds or longer until the device reboots.
You could also try connecting the device directly to your computer with an ethernet crossover cable.
Instructions to Direct Connect to NAS:
Unplug the NAS from the router
Unplug the pc from the router (if the pc is wireless, disable wireless)
Using Ethernet Cable, plug the NAS directly into the pc with no other devices attached.
Restart the NAS and wait for it to boot COMPLETELY 100%
The NAS will request an address from the PC which will be an APIPA address (this is a 169. address)
Open up your Start Menu and type in CMD in the search bar and select the CMD program.
Type in "arp -a" in the cmd prompt
The first time you use the arp -a in a cmd prompt, it gives you the 169.x.x.x address of "The PC"
You may have to  arp -a  twice to get the NAS address.
The second time you use the arp -a I will get another APIPA address in the 169.x.x.x address
Take the new address and use it in the web browser just like normal to access the device.

    Hi All,
I am having exactly the same problem with the same stack trace. Has anybody have an idea how to fix this?
I have downloaded the Java Identity Management Suite.(java_es-5-identsuite-ga-windows-x86.zip) The first time installation was fine and I was able to bring the Access Manager console. I was able to create users groups etc.
However, when I uninstalled and installed it again, I got exactly the same error described in the thread. Running "amserver start" and "amserver restart" did not help. I did the installation one more time
but again I got the same error.
    Thanks for the help.

When I created a one new user in MySQL, I can login into web application that i security as "sample.war" successfull but new user don't right access resource that i protected before.
When i login access manager with amdmin user, I can not find user that i has been created it in MySQL database. t
When the users are created through the dynamic profile, the default cn/sn are set to "default" , after creation you need to login to amconsole as amadmin and change/add proper values for these attributes.
Alternatively you can set the protected resource's policy subject to Authenticated users. This will work but not sure will meet your requirement

When i login access manager console with new user, it login successful, and view Profile of new user that I has been created.
Can you tell me How to manage new user that I has been new in MySQL by Access manager console ?
I want to configure access proteced resourse for that user. How to configure that ?
read above use the authenticated users subject

  • How to change LDAP server setting in Access Manager 6.2

    Hi,
We have initially set authentication as a SunONE Directory Server 5.1 (master DS1) in Sun Java System Access Manager 6.2. In both /etc/opt/SUNWam/config/serverconfig.xml
    /etc/opt/SUNWam/config/AMConfig.properties
conf files, DS1 was set initially. Also on console's Service Configuration ->LDAP->Primary LDAP Server was set as "DS1"
Now the problem is that I am not able to change the DS1 to the other master "DS2". I set DS2 in both above conf files and also the Service Configuration page as Primary LDAP Server. I restarted the server. When I stopped the DS1, I couldn't login access manager console with any user. It looks like it is still trying to get authentication from DS1.
Does anybody know what I am missing here?
    Regards,

After hopeless tries, I finally made it work;) The trick was actually updating the sunKeyValue attribute of the entry:
    "dn:ou=default,ou=OrganizationConfig,ou=1.0,ou=iPlanetAMAuthLDAPService,ou=ser
vices,dc=company,dc=com" in one of the master DS I have.
Even though I set DS2 and loadBalancer hosts in all conf files and in Primary LDAP conf in amconsole's Service Configuration, it just didn't work until I inserted loadBalancer host in sunKeyValue attribute.
    Hope it helps to someone....

But as per organization need, I have to change domain name.
So i have uninstalled everything and tried to install again with new domain name.
I have made proper entries in hosts file and resolve.conf file.

We are testing the liberty samples that come with the access manager using an LECP-enabled client. During the single sign on process, the service provider redirects to the identity provider but after typing the login information on identity provider, the access manager responds with a few redirects and finally sends content that contains javascript. The client browser in our case does not support javascript. We tried disabling javascript for our client on the "Browser UA" screen on the "Edit Client Types" page in the Client Detection Service on Access Manager console but it does not seem to have any effect. Is there any other way to disable Access Manager from sending javascript ?
    Please help.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Aditya

does your client support meta-refresh tags? AM often uses javascript to redirect the user. You would have to go in and modify/create new template files for your client to work around it.
