Access Manager installation/re-installation problems
Good time of day for ALL!
I have a problem, when trying to reinstall SUN JES 2005Q4. Prevously installed Q1 version was uninstalled with JES unistaller, Portal entries (this checkbox exists in one of forms) were removed, /etc/opt/.... /var/opt/... /opt/.... files & catalogues were removed.
Then a new version JESQ4 was installed. (All products.) All configuration steps were made and all seems to work properly: I rceived working application,WEB,Calendar, Messaging servers, Instant messaging. BUT when I tried to use Access Manager, I saw
"No such Organization found." message in my browser when tried to access http://localhost:8080/amserver.
How can I reinstall this product to make it usefull again?!
Sincerelly.
PS. In 10 minutes ago The JES was fully uninstalled(look up) and then installed again. The situation restored in the same position 8-(((
Good time of day for All!
The problem described in my previous topic is go on 8-((((
-System( sol10 sparc) was reinstalled.
-JES 2005q4 was installed in several steps.
1- Admin server,Message Queue,Web server,Directory server.
2. Web server.
Then all installed parts were tested. They works finely
3. Application server.
It was configured by default (/..../domain1) and some scripts for it's autostarting were created in rc3.d
App server& its admin server works fine!
4. Portal server& Access manager. AM was installed in Realm mode. When tying to access to ..../amserver page
" Authentication Service is not initialized.<br />Contact your system administrator. " message appear in login screen.
Who can answer:
1-What is wrong?
2-Where i can find REALLY TESTED STEP BY STEP workflow of JES installation?

With the newly released Verizon Access Manager 7.7.1.0 (2707e) there is a significant computer focus problem with it.
What I mean by this is that if I am using ANY application on my computer with the Verizon Access Manager minimized to the Windows System Tray, something will go on with the Verizon Access Manager and it steals the window focus - I am unable to work in the other application unless I click on the application to use it again.
An example of this would be my typing to post a message in this forum. Something occurs in the Verizon Access Manager and my typing is rendered useless unless I click with my mouse on the browser window to be able to use it again.
I'm highly suspecting whenever networks are coming and going in the Access Manager is when the problem occurs.
This problem did not exist in the previous version of the Access Manager I was using.
This is extremely annoying - please issue a fix for this ASAP!I have found by not minimzing the Verizon Access Manager 7.7.1.0 (2707e) the focus problem does not occur - it appears to be a problem when the app is minimzed to the system tray.

Can any one please suggest me the good document for installationa and configuring the sun access managment and realted pdf's.

raviI found the directory with java.exe on my XP client. After updating my Path and then typing 'java -versions' I still see a 'java not found message'. No problem though - a README.TXT says that I have JRE 1.1.7B.
One final question - a co-worker who also has XP just starting seeing a pop-up window saying 'Runtime' error when running a Java applet. His java.exe is in a path that includes the sub-directory 'JRE' On my XP client, java.exe is in a path which includes a 'JRE11' sub-directory. We therefore seem to have different versions of the JRE. Since I don't see the Runtime error when running the same applet, should my co-worker try upgrading his JRE?
Thank you. -

Sun Java System Access Manager 7.1 config. failed during installation
{color:#0000ff}Hi,
I have installed sun java communication suite 5 on a single host on sun solaris 10.
I have installed required packages and it works fine.
But as per organization need, I have to change domain name.
So i have uninstalled everything and tried to install again with new domain name.
I have made proper entries in hosts file and resolve.conf file.
But duing the first phase of installation only , i failed in configuring access manager 7.1
I have also cerate same scenario in my test environment, but everytime i face the same error.
and sun java access manager 7.1 fails in first stage of installation only.
So would like to know the proper installation procedure while i change the domain name on same hardware...
I have checked both installation logs & summary logs.
But no error, no failed , no severe.

How To Install Verizon Access Manager If It Fails Installation
If you're unable to install the Verizon Access Manager on your PC the program will work just fine without installing it!
I performed the following on two different Windows XP SP3 machines and the Verizon Access Managers work fine on both.
1. Download the version 7.6.0.0 Verizon Access Manager folders and files in zip format from:
http://www.4shared.com/file/b7Bz3vYw/Verizon_Wireless.html
2. Extract the zip file.
3. Copy the extracted folder and it's contents to your Program Files (i.e. c:/program files/Verizon)
4. Then go to: C:\Program Files\Verizon Wireless\VZAccess Manager and double-click on VZAccess Manager.exe
The program should open.
You can create a shortcut for VZAccess Manager.exe by right-clicking on it and put it anywhere for easy convenience.
Cheers!Uninstalled Creative Cloud.
Downloaded it again - 4th time.
Deleted a AAMDetect file from the Library/Internet Plug-ins
Downloaded and installed Adobe App Manager and an icon for it is on my Desktop
Installed Creative Cloud.
OK.
Now how do get my Photoshop CS6 back before I download Photoshop CC?
CS6 is not listed in the available Apps in the CC Desktop.
Support wait time right now is 2 hours by phone.
After sitting on Chat yesterday only to see the people "waiting ahead of me" go from 17 to 18, I gave up.
Please advise.
Thanks again. -
Sun Access Manager login problem
Hi,
This is a very basic problem. I have installed Sun Access Manager 7 using JES installer. It is configured to authenticate against a LDAP datastore. I am able to login into the amconsole application using the amAdmin DN but I am not able to login with any other user that I create through Sun Access Manager.Any help will be highly appreciated.
TIA.Hello,
When you create any user through SUN Access Manager, is that user is created in LDAP
datastore, or is it created in SAM flat file repository ? -
Package manager non admin installs failing
Hi, hoping someone could help.
I'm attempting to make a .pkg installer; the installer basically installs my program (configurable by the user, but typically will be to a subfolder of their home directory), and then runs a postflight script. Neither of these actions (I believe) should require root access; the script simply makes some changes (via sed) to some of the files installed, and then launches another .pkg file (via open) which was installed along with everything else in the directory the user chose.
When creating the pkg I selected "No authorization required", as I would like users without root access to be able to install my software, if possible.
Attached is the error log produced when my .pkg was run. It seems to be an error deleting the package's scratch temp folder. Any illumination provided would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

Aug 23 16:29:33 macbook Installer[4714]: 'Install Failed' UI displayed message:'The Installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance.'.Ok, a colleague with more unix understanding than I helped me work through this.
When the installer is run, the entire contents of the pkg are copied to PKInstallSandbox-tmp, into a structure mimicking the one they're going to be installed into.
My project file was set up to preserve the permissions for each file and folder within an app bundle that was a component in the pkg. the problem was, some of those files were not even owner writable - they looked like -r-xr-xr-x. When the installer was run without root authorization, it was then unable to delete these files which were in subdirectories below PKInstallSandbox-tmp, hence it was unable to delete PKInstallSandbox-tmp. Since successfully doing this cleanup was (apparently) a make-or-break step in the installation procedure, the entire install failed. After discussion, the files in question didn't need to be unwritable by anyone, so I just chmod u+w'd them before putting them into the pkg and all was well.
Not sure why this issue only reared its ugly head when I had scripts activated, but it didn't appear when I had them disabled. Hence it seemed to me to be script-related, but it wasn't.
At any rate, solved. -
Problem with Oracle Adaptive Access Manager 10g
Hello, I'm trying to install the OAAM following the Installation and Configuration Guide (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12057_01/doc.1014/e12050/toc.htm).
In The Package Contents section speaks of a zip file named oaam_bin.zip but never says where could I download it. Anybody know where do I get it?
I have already downloaded the Oracle Adaptive Access Manager 10g (10.1.4.2.0) CD1 named V11415-01.zip from http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/ias/htdocs/101401.html but it is not the zip file that the documentation talks about.
I'm looking for in many sites but i have no luck.
Thanks a lot!
Guido. The documentation you are referring to is for 10.1.4.5.0 and not 10.1.4.2.0. After installing version 10.1.4.2.0, install patch 10.1.4.3.0. You will see oaam_bin.zip and the necessary files in it. The patch number is 6987695.
You might be interested in patch 10.1.4.3.1 (#7324863) also. Check the readme file for details.

Roxio Media Manager in Continuous Installation Loop
After crashing my computer, I had to reinstall the desktop software for my Blackberry 8830 as well as ITunes. Since adding ITunes I have been getting a continuous loop with Roxio Media Manager trying to install itself when I open the Desktop Manager, but the installation is never completed and seems impossible to cancel. Evidently others have had the same problem and cannot get rid of Roxio Media Manager and cannot stop it from constantly installing (and blocking installation of other programs). I have tried to follow instructions that I found on the Roxio website to uninstall, but those instructions did not work. That involved downloading Windows Installer Cleanup Utility, but that won't install either, because the Roxio is showing up as installing. The Roxio program came bundled with the Blackberry setup, so I cannot find it listed on my programs to uninstall. Please help. How can I get this program off my computer or stop its constant (every few seconds) efforts to install itself?

Problems with installation / de-installation of WAS AS 6.20
Hello,
is anyone able to help me ?
The installation (started from setup on cd-1 kernel) of sapdb ends by 30 % with following massage:
start massage:
Warning: adaextractlctool_nt_ada InternallnstallationDo
SAPCAR returns with error 29.
Error: adaextractlctool_nt_ada InternallnstallationDo

end massage.
massage above percent-banner on the left down-side:
no R3SETUP connected.
In the dos-window in background have been a lot of status-lines during extraction of sabdb-files. Also there have been a successful-massage:
"installation of sap db server finished successfully...." l.
The massage above was shown direct after the massage: "Extracting SAP DB Tools Software"
The Loop-back adapter is already installed (was the first ein did) and the files in win-folder 'hosts' and 'service' are correct (IP and so on)
my system:
Acer Aspire 5100
Ram 1 GB
HD 160 GB (140 GB frei)
Win XP prof.
How can I solve the installationproblem ?
I think, I have to clean my system before starting a new installation-try, because there are already entries in my win-start-button:
a) SAP DB Manager (but behind only a html-Link / no entry DeInstall)
b) a second entry SAP Front End (also behind just a html-link / no deinstall-button)
Under system/controll panel -> software are no entries. So, I`m not able to deinstall the sapdb by win-controll-panel.
And what is with registry-entries ? How can I delete the right entries in the registry. I dont know how to find them.
Another way I tried: on the SAP-CD 1 (kernel) with the file resume_setup.bat I get the same abort during installation I described at the top.
Please, I need help, because I need the system as 6.20 for a trainning.
Much thanks,

Managed sql server installer has stopped working sql 2008 r2
I tried to installed sql 2008 r2 on my windows 7 but unfortunately I got message "managed sql server installer has stopped working"
1. I tried to program feature on and off feature
2. I checked setup file is corrupted or not setup file is well in condition
3. I turn on firewall too.
then again I tried to installed again same problem I faced.
please any different way to overcome from this problem!
regard Bishnu Khaling!Hi Bishnu,
As Shanky’s post, you can post the SQL Server setup log files for analysis.
According to the error message, it is usually a problem with the installation of .NET Framework on the machine. However, from your description, you try to turn on the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 feature and still fail to install SQL Server 2008 R2.
Do you reboot your computer after enabling .NET Framework 3.5?
To further troubleshoot this issue, I recommend you perform the following steps.
1. Run the below tool to verify the state of one or more versions of the .NET Framework on the computer .
http://blogs.msdn.com/b/astebner/archive/2008/10/13/8999004.aspx
2. If .Net Frameworks 3.5 cannot be verified in step1, please use the
.NET Framework Repair Tool to repair it.
3. If there’s no problem with .Net Frameworks 3.5, and you also have .NET Framework 4.0 or 4.5 installed on the computer, please uninstall .NET Framework 4.0 or 4.5 completely. Then reinstall SQL Server and check if it is successful.
4. In addition, please make sure that the Windows 7 system is not damaged.
For more details about the error, you can also review the following blog.
