Access MDM Catalog used Portal

Hello guy´s
I have installed SRM 5.0, MDM Catalog 5.5 and Portal 7.0.
I need to create catalog using the Portal, because the Frontend  the MDM catalog is very difficult for user.
Is this possible in the Portal? Is there any Business Package what create IVIEWS for this?
Thanks
Claudio Argolo

Hi Claudio,
There is a complete package for creating Portal iViews on top of an MDM catalog.  These packages (BP MDM APPLICATION 5.5, and BP MDM TECHNOLOGY 5.5) can be downloaded from the SAP Service Marketplace, assuming you have the appropriate authorisation.
The documentation for the creation and use of MDM iViews can be found <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_mdmgds55/helpdata/EN/5e/48a04270600d31e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm">here</a>.

  • Way to identify transactions accessed by user using portal

    Hi,
We are trying to obtain statistics of the transactions used by a user and frequency of use by the same user using the portal. We would like to obtain the user id and the transactions accessed.
Is there a table or a log created by the EP to capture the same or is there any option in the settings which can capture the info going forward.
We use EP to access BSP applications and ITS transactions.
Any information on the logging capabilites of EP is appreciated.

    Hi,
Check the link below on creating a portal activity report iView.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/fb/144120ea5b4e9c9385d493a578d6c9/frameset.htm
Portal activities are obtained from the following set of tables(I guess)
    WCR_AGGINFO
    WCR_USERNODSTAT
    WCR_USERSTAT
    WCR_WEBCNODESTAT
    WCR_WEBCONTENTSTAT
So you can write a custom code that could retrieve the values from the tables.
The activity report can be found under the system configuration under system administration in portal
System Administration -> System Configuration-> Service Configuration Editor
    Under Applications->com.sap.portal.activityreport.core-> Services->ActivityReport
    Hope this helps.

  • SRM-MDM Catalog publication in portal

    Hi experts,
Iu2019m facing some difficulties concerning MDM / portal integration. We are implementing SRM-MDM catalog scenario and Iu2019ve already created a catalog in MDM Data Manager. Iu2019ve also set the parameters for the web service definition in SRM system, and assigned the Catalog ID in ppoma_bbp.
However, Iu2019m still not able to access my catalog information in portal. When I try to access my catalog it is necessary to introduce again the logon details and an error message u201CLogon failedu201D is displayed, which is not normal right?
In addition, if I introduce my logon details nothing happens but the error message is changed for a warning message u201CLogon failedu201D. Consequently I cannot access my catalog in portal.
Can someone help me? What might being wrong with my catalog publication?
    Many Thanks!
    Best regards,
    Andreia Nascimento

    Hi,
Yes, You can define any user which has "Catalog User" Role defined in MDM in SRM Web Service". and this is not required to have same user in SRM system. You can assign this web service ID as attribute to any SRM user.
Did you get "Connection Successful Message"?? I couldn't see that in your Trace.. Once you test Connection then you should get message in Green "Connection test was successful".
Also, Check the following Things and revert with the result:
    1. Is your repository Loaded?
    2. Try to Console through the User which you have defined in Web Service. This will confirm whether User credentials are correct or not.
Also, let us know which version of SRM you are working with and what is version of your SRM-MDM Catalog.
    Regards,
    Shiv
Also Check this document (Page no 32 ) and make sure if you have defined other parameters correctly in the web service definition.

  • Is use of flat file in SRM-MDM catalog search UI possible ?

    Hello,
When user looks for materials inside SRM-MDM catalog (using search user interface), search is done manually with free form or drill down search.
Then, among the search result, user has to select items he wants to add to his shopping cart and finally transfer those items from his shopping cart overview inside SRM.
Is it possible to automate this user selection using for exemple a flat file uploading (or any other way you could know) ?
This flat file will have material number (or service), supplier code and quantity (no more information).
The aim of the request is to help requester to not have to select each item one by one (in the search result) knowing that :
    -  SC will have more than a hundred items,
    - delivery time and price (for example) must be checked in MDM, being the master data reference
    - materials (or service) to order are received by requester via a flat file without any information about prices, so i cannot upload my flat file directly into SRM because file missing data must come from MDM.
With this process, user should have only to transfer items automatically selected.
Could you please share your advises ?
    We use SAP MDM 5.5.
    Regards.
    Laurent.

    Hello Masa,
    Masayuki Sekihara wrote:
A vendor look at buyer stock information like VMI and fill stock weekly base. So the vendor sends material number and quantity information as flat file to buyer. Buyer should create SC from flat file and price information should fetch from catalog.
Yes, your are correct: example you gave corresponds to process for my SC uploading.

  • SRM-MDM-Catalog and  XI using HTTP

I need to do a integration between SRM 5 and SRM-MDM-Catalog using XI.
I imported the SRM-MDM-Catalog packages into the XI and I saw that all connections with MDM are using FTP in the comunnication channel template.
Is it possible to do connections for MDM using http or soap?

As far as I know using Files is how XI interacts with MDM. All scenarios I have seen on SDN have been with File adapter being used on MDM 's side.
Maybe there is a way , am watching this thread as well.

I have a problem about using forms. How can i call a field of a based table form.
For example using forms 6i, i use

The purpose to do this is to customize some events to do adicional funcions like validations

    Pedro,
This is a tough one. You may want to try the Forms forum or 9iAs Portal forum to see if anyone else has tried this. This forum is for questions directly related to the Oracle Portal Development kit.

  • SRM-MDM Catalog - issue in the Portal (Employee Self-Services - Shopping C)

    Dear SAP,

    Hi All,
We are in the process of building up SRM MDM Catalog 3.0 in MDM 7.1 environment, we are able to
login/Configure using http://Server:port/SRM-MDM/SRM_MDM , but when we try to connect to the same URL using portal workset - Emplyee Self service ( Configured the same URL in SRM Server - defined external web service and linked with all mdm-user credentails ), it gives error - saying like "error connecting catalog - see system administrator "
    My questions are
    1. Is it mandatory to use Portal-MDM ivews to build the catalog page and assign it to users or we can also follow the same methadology like defining the webservice in SRM by providing URL with credentials?
    2. if we can define SRM MDM catalog UI using external catalog webservice definition, then how we would integrate it to the portal page ( in Shop page ) - is any config required in portal side?
    Please help

    Hi Sandip,
I'm having a similar issue with SRM 7.0 and SRM-MDM Catalog.  Did you resolve this problem?  I'd be very grateful if you could advise if you managed to find a solution.

  • MDM catalogs to be used for PM-SRM scenario

    Hello All,
We are in a situation where we are using the SRM-MDM scenario for regular shopping carts. And also would like to leverage these MDM catalogs for purchases made in ECC Plant Maintenance "work Orders" for non-stock ECC material numbers maintained in ECC.
These material numbers in ECC will have a Manufacturing Part Nmber (MPN) in the material master data.
Since we had some difficulty connecting these SRM-MDM catalogs directly to the ECC work order we would like to bring these requisitions generated by "Work Orders" and push them to SRM. (Standard SAP)
Once these Requisitions come into SRM as SC.. the system automatically approves this SC (Which is standard SAP)  but in this process we would like to know if there is a way the system can automatically make a call to MDM based on the Manufacturing Part Number (MPN) and bring in the price and the vendor details back to the SC automatically.
Currently we are using SRM 6.0 and MDM 2.0 in our landscape..
Any suggestions will be appreciated and rewarded..
