Access Memos from Palm Z22 to Mac (10.5.4)

Is there a way I can sync my Palm to my Mac and then be able to access the Memos? I bought a keyboard for my Palm and used to use it to type notes in class (back when I had a PC and could access the Memos on the desktop) but there won't be much point if I can't transfer the Memos to my laptop. Any help?

Hello!
To xfer those Memos from you PalmOS device to the Mac, you need to install the Palm Desktop 4.2.1 for Mac.  You can find it here.  Its virtually the same thing as the PC counterpart but with some subtle Mac-specific features.

  • Exporting Memos from Palm

    Hi,
I am trying to transfer my Palm's memos to the third party app Files, which connects to my Mac as a server. I am looking for a way to export my Palm memos as individual word documents to be read on my iPod. I am aware that Palm Desktop can export every memo into one word document and that I can copy and paste into word, but I have over 1300 memos to export. Does anyone know of a way to do this?
    Thanks,
    ampaudi

Are you asking how to sync memos from Palm to Mac? Perhpas you should find a Palm forum. If on the other hand you want to get notes into the iPod Touch from your mac, then... (from an earlier post of mine)...
A lot of people are asking for note syncing - this isn't quite syncing, but it does let you copy notes and even create and edit iPod notes on your Mac. In case you didn't see my post about PhoneView, here's a link that tells you all about this Mac app.
    http://ecamm.com/mac/phoneview/
You can choose txt, rtf, doc, pdf, and html files on your Mac and PhoneView converts these to notes on your iPT.
The app is a bit pricey since I'm not interested in most of what it does, except for the "syncing" of notes. $20. But I bought it anyway.

  • Import data from Palm Z22

Anybody know how I can import the contact, calendar and to do information from my old Palm Z22 PDA into the iPad 2?

For anyone else still looking for a solution. I recently successfully added all my memos, tasks, datebook and address files from palm desktop to iPad. I uses a program called Dejaoffice which you can get as a trial. Use this to move all to your outlook files, tidy up then do a once only sync to iPad. After this you don't need Dejaoffice. However I did find it as a handy program....if you keep it watch out for duplicating data with outlook. Hope this helps all others to avoid a painful conversion program whilst grieving the loss of your faithful Palm and moving into the new Apple world.

  • Address book transfer from Palm 3x to Mac Address Book Lion

Have a vintage Palm3x synched with a vintage Dell Inspiron 8300 desktop computer using XP.  Recently aquired a Mac Book Pro with the new Lion OS.  Is there any way to transfer the address book and memos from the old machine to the new?  Apple recommended trying to transfer via a flash drive using the .csv format.  When I tried to export the data from the Palm Desktop OS 3.0.1 to the flash drive, I got a message: :  "Export error, *.csv contains an invalid path".  Heard from another source that Palm 3X is incompatible with Lion OS anyway, and to try to export to Microsoft Outlook on the old Dell first and then to attempt to synch with the Mac from Outlook...
Any ideas on how this might be done, and if so, what exact steps should I take?  Should I still attempt to sync with Outlook with .csv format? Tried this, but couldn't find the appropriate folder to export to - under the C: drive, there were only about 6 or 8 options, none of which seemed to have anything to do with Outlook.

I tried going to the application support folder to get the address book to transfer from my iMac with Leopard to my Powerbook with Tiger. It didn't work for me either. So here's what I did and it worked like a charm:
Select all contacts in each separate group in your address book on your iMac and drag them individually to a thumb or flash drive. This will create a vcard for each of the groups. ( I had 8 groups). Plug the drive into your Powerbook, add the name of each group you are transferring, and drop each group into the proper group on the Address book. This essentially copies each V-Card from one computer to the other. If you have obsolete addresses on your Powerbook, they will be automatically updated. This may be too late to help you, but perhaps someone else may have the same problem.

I don't want to lose my Palm database but I can't access it under Windows 7.

This applies if you have a 64bit Windows operating system.  Palm only put 32bit Windows drivers with all versions of there desktop software. Palm was only the producer of the Palm hardware. Access was the company who wrote the Palm/Garnett software. Access never produced a driver for 64bit Windows systems. They do sell the Garnett operating system to several hardware companies. One of these companies Aceeca produces a 64bit Windows driver and offered it to the Palm community. There is a very good tutorial written by WyreNut.  !read the post titled. (64bit drivers are here) This is where you will find the 64bit Windows driver and install directions.

I want to transfer the new voice memos to iTunes on my mac but it appears that it will since my itunes library to my phone.
The iPhone is connected to the mac.  i am in iTunes and I go to the Device listed as iPhone and click on music.
When I click on the box that says Sync Music, I get a message that says
Are you sure you want to remove existing music, movies etc from this iPhone and sun with intones library...
I click cancel instead of remove and sync.    In the sync music window in light grey I can see tha Selected playlists, artist and albums and genres is selected and include voice memos is checked.
On summary I have Manually Manage Music and Videos checked.
I just got the phone and i see on p 110 of the manual how to move recordings to your computer and it isn't doing what I want.
I would like to move the voicemails to the computer without syncing the library and I would like to manually move some songs from iphone to iTunes on the mac.

I think you need to find a third-party tool to copy voice memos from iPhone to Mac because iTunes can't do it. And the only option Apple offers is to backup your iPhone, either to iTunes or iCloud. However, by doing this, voice memos are packed into the backup file package. You can't view them until restore your iPhone with the backup file.

I'm trying to get Voice Memos from my iPhone 4 onto my computer so I can then subsequently put them on my iPhone 6. They didn't sync properly the first time I tried.
The apple support told me that I would have to use third party software. Anyone know of any free programs? (TunesGo only allows 20 songs before you have to pay).
    THanks!

  • How can I access images from IPhoto on my Mac to Photoshop CS6

How can I access images from IPhoto library on my Mac to Photoshop CS6?  I enable jpg with format "Photoshop" and this is what comes up -  "Could not complete your request because Photoshop does not recognize this type of file"

Photoshop is not a format.  It's an application.
What you are looking at are not true JPEGs, just iPhoto's "tease" representations of the hidden images it swallowed, as explained above.

  • Voice Memos- How to move from iphone 3GS to Mac?

Okay. How do I move a voice memo from my iPhone 3GS to my Mac? All software and hardware is current. All I want to do is move voice memos from iPhone to my Mac. Memos are 30 minutes plus and cannot email from iphone. So I want to move to my Mac and email if I want. How to? thanks! rr

    Syncing Voice Memos
iTunes automatically syncs voice memos to your iTunes library when you connect iPhone to your computer. This lets you listen to voice memos on your computer and provides a backup if you delete them from iPhone.
Voice memos are synced to the Voice Memos playlist. iTunes creates the playlist if it doesn’t exist. When you sync voice memos to iTunes, they remain in the Voice Memos application until you delete them. If you delete a voice memo on iPhone, it isn’t deleted from the Voice Memos playlist in iTunes. However, if you delete a voice memo from iTunes, it is deleted from iPhone the next time you sync with iTunes.

  • Palm Z22 hotsync with windows 7 64 bit-using IRD

I have been trying to hotsync my input from Palm Z22 into my new OS Windows 7 64 bit using first the USB-unsuccessful.
I purchased an IRD to try and hotsync onto OS windows 7 64 bit- but also have failed.  Any advise?

I do not know if it will work. In his post at brighthand that he made the Aceeca driver available to the palm community Alex stated that it should work with many Palm devices that were os 4 or 5. You are using an older version of the palm desktop and one of the older os 4 devices. I do know of people with the palm m505 and m515 using the Aceeca driver with success, but they were using a newer version of the palm desktop. I believe most were using the 4.1.4 palm desktop version. I do not know if experimenting with a newer desktop version will help either.

  • Isync failing to ical for palm z22 after upgrade to mac os x 10.5.1

just upgraded my powerbook G4 to mac os x 10.5.1, now unable to successfully complete hotsync. new events on my palm DID get added to my iCal, but hotsync manager dies before completion with an error message. see below for hotsync log details.
previously had os x 10.3.x and was syncing my palm z22 with iCal, address book, etc. just fine. to make it as simple as possible, in isync i un-checked "contacts", and under "calendars" i checked "ignore palm events older than one month". in hotsync conduit settings, "isync conduit" is set as "enable isync", all other conduits are set as "do nothing".
have pored through the many threads on sync problems with 10.5.x but didn't see one with this particular symptom. any insight would be greatly appreciated.

  • How do I put voice memos from iphone to ipad.  They are already in Mac as a playlist, how do I put voice memos from iphone to ipad.  They are already in Mac as a playlist

I can get my voice memos from my iphone onto itunes on my Mac but when I sync my ipad, it doesn't sync.  So I can only listen on my iphone using the voice memos app, which is very frustrating, since you cannot pause it and restart or gets interrupted when you get a call or on my computer.  I would love to review some lectures I have taped on my ipad.  Any way of doing this

The following is pre iOS 8 but may have something that you missed: http://www.macworld.co.uk/how-to/iosapps/transfer-voice-memos-from-iphone-to-com puter-3526349/
One new thing I learned from it is that Evernote which I use for keeping some text notes in sync among various devices has a voice memo capability. Those would be automatically transferred. Here is some more information on that if you want to check it out for future use: https://evernote.com/contact/support/kb/#!/article/28606837

  • Saving voice memos from iphone to mac

    Hi all,
I've read a couple of threads re synching voice memos from my iphone to my mac.  And i've followed the instructions (i.e. clicking the "include voice memos" under the synch music section in itunes).  Trouble is when the synch runs and i go into itunes library to find the voice memos i cant find them.  I've searched by typing in "voice memo" as well as manually searching through the entire library.  The voice memos are still safely on my iphone, but not in my itunes library.  Any clues?

You can transfer voice memos from iPhone to Mac by emailing:
Open the voice memo app and select the recording you want to transfer, then tap on the Share icon in the left corner under the Play button. Now you have the option to send it as a Mail.
Choose Mail then fill in the relevant details and hit send. This is fine for the occasional memo, but if you have several that you want to do at once - or have long recordings whose files sizes are not inbox friendly - then the best solution is to use iPhone Transfer for Mac.
