Access multiple country store

I am really confused by the Apple policy that allows to access ONLY ONE country AppStore.
I am a business traveller, so I spend most of my time in various countries. Of course I have an iPhone.
In theory, it is a very smart device to be used by frequent travellers, but the AppStore limitation is really a mess.
Let me tell you why: in every country I go there are a lot of apps to access different kind of services.
For example, to call a taxi or to reserve an hotel.
Those app are very focused on local services and have been designed for that specific country ot even town (Rome, Paris, London, Hong Kong, ...)
So they have often no counterpart with respect generic apps, because they often are provided by local companies.
A typical example are the app to call/reserve a cab.
In most cases those apps are available ONLY in the local app store, so that they cannot be downloaded if you registered your ID in another country.
It looks like Apple do not understand at all that we live in a global world, where people move continuosly from a country to another.
This is especially true in Europe: in fact, in the European Union we travel from a country to another as Americans do among US states.
But there is no EU App Store!!!
This is really crazy

I understand that, but European Union exists just to fix most of those problems at least in Europe. So I think it is time to have a European store at least in Euroland. By the way, if I am in France I can buy from a French physical store any kind of product, so I see no reasono I can't do that on a digital store. Just imagine if you would travel to Italy or Australia and stores would refuse to sell you products because you are an alien! I see no reason why e-commerce cannot do AT LEAST what traditional commerce does.
The real value of iPhone is NOT the telephone (there are much better mobile phones on market), but the apps, but if I cannot buy a local app when I travel, I cannot access local services and my phone becomes mostly useless. I understand the American culture is not so international and used to travelling, but in the rest of world people travel!

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
That's simply not possible I'm afraid. You'd need to give them their own account and allowance or make it so you are required to be there to input the password when they wish to make a purchase.

  • Can't Access the Music Store in a New Country, help!

I'm studying in Denmark and I can't seem to access the iTunes music store. I don't know if this is because I'm abroad or if its something else. I've tried disabling my firewall, and I've installed the new iTunes 7 and nothing seems to be working. Other computers on my network are able to access the music store. Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong?

My bad, I meant that I can't get it to load. Whenever I try it gives me a message saying:
"iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. The network connection timed out. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, then try again"
Dunno what network settings I would need to change to make this work, my connection is definitely active. I don't know if its a problem with just iTunes or other things as well. I tried using Napster and emusic as a test and Napster wouldn't connect and the emusic downloads failed.

  • Multiple small stories with variable line counts assigned to different editors

I have a "best practice" question for you more experienced InCopy users about what workflow you recommend for my specific issue. I am experienced in InDesign, but am a InCopy newbie. I want to make sure I'm not missing a solution because my lack of experience with InCopy may be causing me not to see the forest for the trees.
Short version: What is the best way to allow multiple editors access to each of multiple small stories separately (one story per editor), but to allow the line count of each story to be variable each week, while adjusting the rest of the stories along with it on the page (see image below)?
Details: My publishing company's workflow is on CS6 with editors working in Word, and we're upgrading to CC2014 with InCopy. We have 7 in-house editors, and all files on an in-house server. We have quick deadlines (some are 15 minutes from editor writing copy to transmitting publication to subscribers). In the example below, we have 10 sections, and I have all seven editors writing different sections at the same time. A final editor has control over fitting the final page. My INDD files to test the new workflow use an assignment-based workflow. I understand I can place each of these sections as their own story, under the same assignment, so a different editor can have them checked out. However, each section does not have the same line count from week to week. Markets with more activity will get more lines.
In our current workflow, we have multiple rough Word docs pulled into one master doc with a script, that the final editor edits to fit, so each section can be a different number of lines as long as the total is the same. Then production staff load it in. When we upgrade, we can use a hybrid workflow where the final editor just loads that final Word doc into one InCopy story and edits it to fit.
It would be great if I just didn't understand how to make the text height variable for the story each editor is typing, and auto-adjust so the next story starts below where the story above it ends, and you all had an idea how I can do it!
    Thanks! Nancy

I disagree to Seshu's answer to question 1.
Correct answer of question 1 is C and <u><b>not A.</b></u>
Sorry I didn't find time to check the rest.
    <u>To the examinee</u>
I wouldn't assume all answers from SDN-ers are correct if my certification exam was knocking the door! I would rather try and find out the correct answers myself from the system instead of mugging these answers without any understanding of the technology involved! Find out the answers yourself from the system...that way it will help you to understand why the answer is 'C' and not 'A'...just knowing the answer is 'C' is not good enough...one has to understand "why" its 'C' and not 'A'. Hope you get my point! Good luck.

  • Problem after updating to iTunes 10.5 on Windows Vista.. I can no longer access the iTunes store..

    Hi
After updating to iTunes 10.5 on Windows Vista I have found that I can no longer access the iTunes store... I am left with a blank iTunes screen with the loading bar stuck at halfway..
All other features seem to work... only opening  the iTunes store is failing..
I have ran the diagnostics feature and this says everything is ok, so I'm a bit stuck
    Please help

Purple-Gecko...all that I can say is, "Boom!!!"  You are THE man/woman, whichever the case may be.
The "netsh winsock reset" command worked like a charm for my machine (running Windows XP SP3).  I have had two weeks of frustration with this issue and finally found your post which got me back online with the iTunes store.  My problem accessing the iTunes store began once I downloaded and installed iTunes 10.5 in preparation to upgrade to OS5.  Once 10.5 was installed, I could open iTunes and access everything except the store (which prevented any of my devices from being able to sync). I followed all of the suggestions that I could find in Apple Support and the suggestions that I was emailed from Apple's support techs.  I unistalled all Apple software and reinstalled iTunes multiple times, and still could not access the store.
Your suggestion is the only "cure" that I have found.
I thank you, my iPod thanks you, and my iPhone 4 thanks you for taking the time to post this fix.

  • I bought a new iPad 3 in USA in July but now I cannot access my apps store. I can't update or view the apps store. Secondly it keeps on telling t

I bought a new iPad in July in USA and it was set up by the Apple store in Houston, now I can't access my apps store neither can I view all my purchased apps.
Secondly, every time it want to update my apps that I bought years ago, it tells me to go to Nigeria store. I don't know why I must change to a store to update my apps
Thirdly, I think it's unfair to pay the same amount of Money for an IPad with those in USA and the you can't even download the good apps. It seems  the apps in the Nigeria store are those they don't want in the USA . Why can't we have the same quality apps considering we paid the same amount of money to buy this iPads. I think this is very unfair to us.

The apps available to you are dependent on your location. If you are not in the USA, then you cannot get the USA app store. Whilst you may think that is unfair, it has been a part of the stardard terms and conditions you agreed to when you setup the iOS device in question originally, as well as every time you click agree to the terms and conditions.
This is done because of two things, firstly there are many legal and semi-legal reasons that an iOS app store download is available in one territory and not another, in addition to this, it also allows apple to provide language specific content, as well as team up with companies and organisations within individual organisations in order to provide you with exclusive offers, content, and information, which it would not otherwise be able to do.
Rules for the iOS app store are also applied in varing forms for the music store, the books store, and the iTunes U content library.
I can very much understand your fustraition, as someone who spent a considerable portion of his life, especially during the years he grew up, living in California, USA, but now living in London, UK, I too find it very fustraiting that you cannot always get the same content from one country to another, especially when most marketing for iOS apps originates in the USA these days.
I hope this helps your query and helps to ease your fustraition. If you would like apple to be aware of your fustraition, rather than putting it onto a pubilc form which is on monitored in a very limited capacity, then you can fill in the form at http://www.apple.com/feedback where you can give your complaint straight to apple.

  • Multiple Country of Origin at a Material Master level- Foreign Trade import

    Hi Gurus,
We have a requirement to store Multiple Country of origin at a Material Master level . One Part/Material is sourced from different vendors and they are manufactured in different countries . Please note that we are not using Batch Management . Is there any workaround to have this scenario without using standard Batch Management .
    Thanks,
    Prabuddha

    hi,
you can use split valuation for this by using the valuation category field in material master in accounting 1 view.
in this you have to maintain valuation category as "H" = ORIGIN.
For split valution procedure you have to reffer the  follow this link.

  • How do I resolve the Apple ID security questions for which I have forgotten the answers to access my iTune store account

How do I resolve the Apple ID security questions for which I have forgotten the answers to access my iTune store account? Please assist.

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) on your account then the steps on this page will give you a reset link on your account : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT6170
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer your questions) then you will need to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset.
Contacting Apple about account security : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699
When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use the steps on this page to add a rescue email address for potential future use : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5620

  • Accessing USA Itunes store when traveling abroad

I have an MBPro which I configured in the USA and signed onto Itunes for the first time in the USA. When I connect to Itunes, it takes me to the USA store where my .mac account and permanent address are.
But I just got an MBAir and the first time I used Itunes was in France and now I can only get the Itunes FRANCE store. I am a USA resident but I have a house in France where I spend lots of time, but my preference is to use the USA store.
I get the USA store on Itunes on the MBPro when I am in France, but I cannot access the USA store on the MBAir.
Does anyone know what I can do? My computer is configured with my USA address and USA-based .mac account. This is really frustrating.
    Thank you.
    Mike

Did you see clause 10 in the iTunes Store agreement:
+10. Territory. The Service is available only in the United States. You agree not to use or attempt to use the Service from outside of the available territory, and that Apple may use technologies to verify your compliance.+
    http://www.apple.com/legal/itunes/us/service.html
Right now this is preventing me from upgrading an iPod Touch because I am travelling. Can someone at Apple comment on whether the Store can be used at all when one is outside country of residence? On the face of it, this says NO.

  • I can not access my iTunes  store and why

Pls can some body help me out.

    I can confirm this.
Was having issues with my iTunes and iTunes Match last night, which in the end seemed to boil down to my ISP throttling my iTunes ports that were being used for uploading. Somewhat resolved this by throttling the ports my self down to 100kbs.
Anyways, got on tonight to mess around with it and to see if I could find a better solution than throttling... Attempted to download some of my purchased songs and was unable, the download would stall before it even began. Tried to do the basic trouble shooting of restarting my modem router and computer, no dice. Stepped it up to trying to sign out of the iTunes store and then log back in. Well, now I cannot log, iTunes gets stuck on "Accessing iTunes Store".
    This is a real bummer.
I did try a number of steps including (after backing up important files!) deleting all my iTunes pref files, as well as the By Host iTunes files (later restored after they did not fix issue), then I monkied with my router some along with network settings (mostly playing with ports and DNS settings). Still no luck. I even tried reinstalling iTunes with no success.
I guess its reassuring that others are experiencing the same issue I am... On the same network I am able to access the iTunes store and iTunes Match without problems on other devices (iPad and iPhone) besides my new machine. I have taken advanced steps to try and fix it on my end, and am now feeling that this is something goofed on Apple's end.
*Edit: Opps, just noticed I had wandered into the iPad community. Hah, have a bunch of tabs open trying to figure out what is wrong. So... Yah, appears to be happing across multiple devices and at random. Not sure why computer isn't working, but my iPhone is just fine.

  • Why does App store take me to a different country store, yet does not return me back

Why does App store take me to a different country store, yet does not return me back.
Im in u.s., was searching for app, was asked to change store, i did, tried downloading canadian app, was informed i had to purchase from u.s. store (is this true, even though it is a free download) then it left me there without instructions on how to return to u.s. store.
Now ipad is stuck in canadian store. How do i return to u.s. store?

You have to find an app that is only available in the US store.
If the problem is on an iPad, etc:
Go to a search engine (like google) on the iPad/iPhone Safari and type in abc app download. Then find find a link that says iTunes.apple.com/us/app/abc-player. Tap it, and it will access the App Store. Eventually, a box should pop up that asks you if you want to switch to the US store. Confirm that, and it should bring you back to the US store. You don't need to download the abc app.
    If on a computer:
I haven't confirmed it yet, but I believe there is a flag icon at the bottom of the iTunes Store main page similar to the one at the bottom of this page that you can use to change your country.

  • Moved from Oz to the Uk but can't access UK app store

Have moved from Australia to the uk and have changed my information in my iTunes store and registered it with a uk debit card etc. However when I go onto the app store it still shows Australian Apps and when I go to download them it says this appleid can only be used with the Uk store... How do I access the Uk store? I want my iPad, and iPhone, to automatically go to the uk store. When I click support at the bottom of the featured page it goes to a .com.au website.... It obviously thinks I'm still in Australia.
I also can't use bbc iplayer app, despite being in the uk... It says it's not supported in my country?!
I know there's a whole heap of threads about is but none that seem to address my problem directly.  If you can help you'll be doing me a huge favour!
    Thanks in advance!

First, on your phone: Settings>Store...sign out...now sign back in, then sync your phone while logged into the UK store on your computer...still using the same Apple ID, correct?
