Access number problem

I have just set up my skype acount for skype to go. I then looked at my access number and tried to dial it, it asks me to enter 1 as though it is a long distance number. I expect that the access number is a local number and does not need to have 1 before dialing. Can anyone tell me why this is and how to fix it?

same here. Since a couple of days ago Skype to go number gives busy signal when called from a registered landline phone (worked before). When called from a registered mobile phone it gives 2 clicks and that's it.
Incidentally at the same time we changed the cable TV/internet equipment, but that shouldn't have anything to do because the lindline phone is on copper wire.
I must be a general Poland issue.

I have heard from the horse's mouth. My chat with nice people from Skype support (aka Microsoft) indicates that, as far as I understand it, the problem lies most probably with the provider (in my case Orange Polska, former TPSA). They may have changed the policy (no more Skype access and maybe also other ways of circumventing their revenue stream) or it is an instance of traffic shaping, which hopefully is temporary. It was also suggested to me to try changing the access number altogether, although without guarantee of successful resolution.
Guys please report back on this thread as the situation changes!

Skype access number for South Africa not working

Hi,
I have been in South Africa for a while now and been using my Skype to Go Access number no problem.
Since yesterday though it wont work. I keep just getting a busy tone when I call it from my mobile or a fixed line.
How do I get this resolved?

Webex access number doesn't connect

I tried to dial into a Webex conference using the UK access number 020 310 64804 and nothing happened. I could hear the blip blip when it was dialling but it wouldn't connect. When I dialled the same number with my landline, it works. I could dial in to the free 0800 number and that worked.
Is this because Webex is a competitor and Skype prevents access to that number?

I've been having the same problem for the past year or so, and it's been getting worse recently...

Subscriber access number.. cannot change!

I'm trying to change the subscriber access number. I have Lync 2013 and I need to assign the number to a user now.
The problem is I change the subscriber access number but it still remains. I even changed the contacts associated with it. I ran updates to the address book on Lync and everything.
However I still call the number and it takes you to the Exchange voicemail!
Am I missing a place to remove this number from Exchange and Lync?

It eventually started working. Took about an hour. Don't know what happened

Interesting to hear that you are having similar problems in Ontario.
As of about an hour ago, I get "fast busy" (re-order tone) when I try to call any of my STG numbers when calling from landline or my cell. It was working fine last night and much earlier this morning. I am in Winnipeg - is there a problem with Skype To Go this morning? or is my phone company (same for landline as cell) blocking STG access?

Since the last upgrade i cannot log onto my internet banking. It won't accept my usual access number or format

I can no longer log in to my internet banking. it keeps asking me to use the correct format in my access number, but i haven't changed anything. I have spoken to my bank and they said that it is an issue with the latest Firefox update and that Firefox are aware of it. I just need it fixed or i will have to go back to a previous version of Firefox.

I use only support.mozilla.org and never used any other websites. However, the same problem here. My ID and Password are not accepted. Had to create a new account with a temporary email to use Support - it would not allow me to use my main email, because "it is used by another account". Try to reset password - receive no email (even though there is a confirmation on the website that email to reset password has been sent). At the same time can easily receive a confirmation about User ID and account activation. Thus, the account is completely locked, and I can not use my email address for a new one. Please fix this problem.

Aperture 2 install - serial number problem

Disclaimer: I'm pretty good on a pc. Absolutely terrible on Mac, never had so many problems with tech :/
So...I have my serial number from the back of the Aperture 2 "Installing your software" booklet. Checked that I'm entering "I's" not "1's." Got dashed between the sequences. Capslock on etc. Searched forum, quite a few posts on serial number problems. None matched.
Enter serial number. Second window pops up stating I've entered an upgrade serial number (I only have the expired trial version of Aperture installed), and requesting my "serial number."
I'm lost now. Checked my original docs, there's nothing on Aperture trial version. Fired up the trial and I see what looks like a license key (to Apple, not me) on the launch screen. That's not accepted by Aperture 2.
Any thoughts on this appreciated.

There is a tiny label on the bottom edge of the box. Mine says "Aperture 2.0 Retail". The tiny label on my box for Final Cut Express 4 says "Final Cut Express 4.0 UPG". Does yours not say "UPG" on that little label? If not, you should be able to return it for the full version (plus pay the difference, of course). If it does say "UPG" you might be out of luck as most open software can't be returned.

Realizing the modem and voice access in 5300 with the same access number

I want to use the same access-number to realize the access to modem dial-up and voip voice call-in.But I do not know if it is possibility because of the confusion in the identifying the dial-up and voice call.

AS5300 distinguishes voice or modem call based on the called number (DNIS) received for a call. As long as the DNIS received is unique for voice and modem call , AS5300 can distinguish based on the configuration.

Access rights problem

I have set up two OID instances to talk between one another and think I have the mapping files correct.
I now see Insufficient Access Rights in the logs. Does anyone have any ideas what this could be? Does the exchange between servers run under a specific user?

You need to install Java for your Mac OS version, and/or make sure it's enabled in the Java Preferences application and your browser's preferences.

where can I look up my access number from a mobile phone? I can't find a way to look it up on the mobile skype site and I can't find a way to get to the regular skype site either.
