Access priviliges itune

Hi, my computer got leopard re-installed recently and the people at the mac store that did it didn't put a password on it. But every time i open itunes i get a message that i don't have enough access priviliges for this operation....not sure what does that mean...but i'm able to access my itune store with my itune password but when i want to synch my iphone it doesn't allow me to connect....i tried authorizing and de-authorizing the computer and it's not working, even re-set my password...can someone help??? thank you!!!

Thanks. I am using Win XP Home edition. I am also the Administrator, as is shown in the 'User accounts' page...

When I open itunes, I get this error msg :
I get a "Can not save a library file - I do not have enough access priviliges for this operation."

I went ahead and add my Program files(86)/iTunes as an Exclusion in the Eset Advanced Set up any ways- just in case.
As well as that, you'd need to set an exclusion on the iTunes library and media files (as per their instructions for 2000/XP/Vista when using Smart Security 3.x).
The default location for the relevant folder on Windows 7 is:
C:\Users\username\My Music\iTunes\

Why not enough access priviliges

I don't recall when this error appeared, but, it has appeared every time, I check my Preferences, whether I try to make changes or not.
ITunes: "An error has ocurred while updating the default player for audio file types. You do not have enough access priviliges for this operation".
I have iTunes6.0.5.20, and the corresponding Quicktime.
I have administrator priviliges, and nothing seems to be affected in iTunes. I can play my music, download, and burn CDs.
I have had one problem in the past, about in March 2006, when while completing uninstallation of a program, it went slightly berserk, starting to delete un related files, most desktop shortcuts. I had purchased some music at Napster and Yahoo!Music. I was able to restore all Napster music by redownloading it, but have been unable to access Yahoo!Music purchased music. Apparently something went awire with a file connected with Windows Media Player. But this should have nothing to do with iTunes. I checked the iTunes FAQ, but I can't find any category. Basically, if I do not have enough access priviliges, what is missing? I am pretty sure that I could make appropriate changes. I have been in contact with Yahoo!Music support for two months, to no avail, and, I don't intend to waste my time with iTunes, but I will accept any reasonable explanation. It is odd, because I get no explanation.

1. Do you have full admin privleges?
2. Do you have MS Antispyware disabled?
3. Do you have other virus protection software (Norton, McAfee, etc.) disabled when installing iTunes?
4. Did you make iTunes the default player in the Control Panel "Set Program Access and Defaults"? Did you reboot?
5. Do you have full write privileges to your "My Documents" folder or your iTunes music folder location?
6. Do you get this same error when signed on with a different XP account?

I don't know all the details but will ask some basic questions:
Did you download iTunes on your computer? You sync your phone to your computer by starting iTunes on your computer and connecting your phone.
Another tip is to use the View menu in iTunes on your computer to View Sidebar. Your phone should show up in the left sidebar of iTunes on your computer when connected to your computer. You select it there and then use the tabs to the right to select items to sync to your iPhone.
Sorry if these suggestions are too obvious.

I would just follow the instructions from this article to give your unused 4s to your spouse. Since you have already started using your 5s, you will still be receiving iMessages on that phone and will have no need to receive them on a device that has been replaced. This issue is blocking my access to iTunes and any other file from my home computer. It keeps on telling me that I have to autorise my computer to pass on files, yet, it seems, for all this to happen, I need to get logged in through the phone's Apple ID. This of course is different to my one on my computer - and I have no password for it.
This phone is not stolen!! I payed still a fair bit for it. Am still in contact with the previous owner. He doesn't know how to fix the problem either.
Would appreciate any suggestion ????

Settings>general>resets>erase all content and settings.
That will put it back to its out of the box state. Set it up with your own apple Id.

When I plug in my Ipod touch to my computer a warning appears "The program cant start because MSVCR80.dll is missing." I can not access my Itunes library. Also, an "error 7 Windows error 126" appears as well. Any ideas?

I have just downloaded the upgrade from Mountain Lion to Yosemite. In the process i am now unable to gain access to iTunes. The app on desktop no longer works and the install is not able to be opened.

How do I access the iTunes Preview page with a web browser?

Does anyone out there know how to access the iTunes app preview page with a web browser? So far the only way I've been able to get there is by Googling the app with the term 'iTunes preview'. Is that really the only way? The iTunes page itself has no obvious link to the app list.

Thanks, but I should have been more specific. I was trying to access the iTunes app preview page on my PC through Chrome. While I have an iPad, it's not convenient to have to refer to it every time I want to discuss an iOS app.

TS3297 Every time I open iTunes to listen to music, not access the iTunes Store, I get the password sign in box, over and over again. When I try to access the iTunes Store it does not except my password. This has happened since the last update.

Everytime I open iTunes to play music, NOT to access the iTunes Store, I get the password sign in box for the iTunes Store. If I click cansel the box pops up a second time.
When I try to sign in to the iTunes Store it does not except the password and pops up the sign in box afain,and again endlessly.

With those symptoms, I'd try the following document:

I am on a Windows 7 Gateway laptop with Intel Premium. This problem started a couple days ago, just after I finally gave in to go from my version 10 iTunes to the "new and improved" version 11 iTunes. The version 10 worked like a dream, no worries, very quick. Now, all I can do is use my iTunes library. If I just wanted a library I would be using Windows Media Player (jk, iTunes is better). Anyway, my point is, right after installing the new version of iTunes, this problem began. I've looked all through the Apple Support Pages, and tried a couple of things recommended, but nothing's worked so far. If anyone has a clue on what I can do, help would be very much appreciated. Also, if your suggestions don't involve downloading anything, that would be wonderful. Nevertheless, if they do, that's still okay. I'm desperate at this point, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nevermind, I fixed the problem. I logged on as an administrator and deleted iTunes files. I then redownloaded the file as an administrator and the Store is working smoothly again!
