Access SAP B1 Outlook Integration Add-On credentials in Outlook VBA
Hi.
Is any possibility to get SAP B1 Outlook Integration Add-On credentials(SAP username, DB, Company) in outlook macro after user
logged in SAP with the add-on? I'm creating deliveries in macro and would like not to hardcode login/password in vba code but pick it from the add-on if possible.
Thanks
Dear Vijay,
Could you explain how did you get this failed status in the first place?
Thanks,
Gordon

Hi there,
There is a post about enhancements of OutLook Integration Add-On from a Chinese Partner.
outlook integration addon 的应用实施及产品功能探讨
Translation as below:
1.Offline access: Enable quotation creation even OI is not connected to B1 .Many sales people has no iternect access in travel.
2.Connection in VPN: B1 client connect fast in VPN, but OI take time to connect.
3.Email Signature: They would like to use the default email account's signature, thus they have to modify the qutotation email with their own signature by manual.
Kind Regards, YatseaHi,
For initialization error, this is a solution from SAP Note:
Solution
1) Check on your MS SQL Server (Enterprise Manager) your server and use the right mouse click and choose "Properties". Select the
"Security" Tab and then select under Authentification "SQL Server and Windows". Change if not selected and try to start the addons again.
2) In the "Choose Company" (Administration>Choose Company) choose Current Server "Change" make sure that the "Use Trusted Connection" is de-selected. De-select and try to start again.
3) When you start SAP Business One in the initial Logon Screen in the left corner make sure that the "Use NT Authentification" is de-selected.
For resource error, the solution from SAP note:
This error usualy occurs after an upgrade. To resolve this error, please do the following:
1. Locate the Temp folder by going to Start -> Run and type %temp%.
2. Locate the SM_OBS_DLL folder and rename it.
3. Uninstall the DI API from Add/Remove Programs.
4. Install the DI API from the latest patch.
5. Connect to the addon again and the SM_OBS_DLL folder will be recreated and replaced with the latest version. You should now be able to connect sucessfully.

Outlook Integration add-on, the Snapshot template is missing
hi,
i have a query , when we start Outlook Integration add-on SAP B1, one window will a to generate snapshot template, but in the source folder there is no default template to generate snapshot templates in the destination folder. how to get those sanpshot default templates from SAP portal or is there any other process to generate those snapshot template.
sandiphi atul,
well even i too face the same problem, but it is solved.
1. when you install SAP b1 outlook addon, it is not going to create the folder with the default templates, for that you have to go the the addon folder where you have all SAP B1 addons, where you have all outlook integration addon,XL reporter addon,CopyExpress addon and even some other addons, in the same folder you will see ServerInstaller folder, you install that directly from the folder itself, it will create the require templates at the specific location.
2. then from SAP B1 start you outlook addon and when you get the window of create template, just press the create button, this time it will create it sucessfully.
now the snapshot template will be available in your system.
i checked this it is working well in my system, follow the above process, you can able to solve your problem. if not revert me back.

Event of Sending Mail From Outlook Integration Add-On
Dear Experts,
I am not able to find the event if I am sending mail from outlook integration add-on. Suppose I open a Sales Order that already entered and click on Mail Menu and click on 'Send' Button (Form Type = 188). It sends the mail successfully from Outlook but I am not able to use the event after that while it shows me operation completed successfully.
I am writting it as follows:
if (pVal.FormType == 188 && pVal.ActionSuccess == true && pVal.EventType == BoEventTypes.et_ITEM_PRESSED && pVal.ItemUID == "1")
I have used it on Form Data Event too but no success.
if (BusinessObjectInfo.BeforeAction == false)
switch (BusinessObjectInfo.EventType)
case BoEventTypes.et_FORM_DATA_ADD:
switch (BusinessObjectInfo.FormTypeEx)
Case "188":
}break;
Plz help me.

Outlook Integration add in prevents outlook from opening
Hi All,
When the outlook integration executable (BO_SyncExt.exe) is running it prevents outlook from opening. Outlook just sits there saying loading user profile all the time. When the process is killed via task manager outlook opens. The issue seems to be intermittent, we've tried the usual uninstalling, re-installing, rebuilding the machine etc. it didn't work.
The problem doesn't happen on machines using office 2003 or 2007, only on Office 2010 (32 bit).
SAP version 8.8 PL20.
Any ideas what this might be?
Many Thanks,
MattHi Jimmy,
it is 32-bit MS Office, I have had this issue both on 8.82 PL05 (Windows 7 32-bit) and PL07 (Win2008 R2 server 64-bit).
The Outlook Integration log shows some strange entries without error description:
2012-07-23 15:24:30 E CBO_AddIn::OnConnection ERROR: **************************************************************************
2012-07-23 16:36:01 E CBO_AddIn::OnConnection ERROR: **************************************************************************
2012-07-23 16:38:33 E CBO_GUIControl::ReleaseGUIControl ERROR: Exception in closing the Outlook...
2012-07-23 16:39:13 E CBO_AddIn::OnDisconnection ERROR: ############################################################################
2012-07-23 18:23:27 E CBO_AddIn::OnConnection ERROR: **************************************************************************
After this error (Exception in closing the Outlook...) I assume that the Outlook.exe hangs, therefore when opening Excel, I get an error message like 'Failed to open log file', so probably the hung Outlook.exe locks the log file. Of course opening Outlook isn't possible in that status.
After closing the process Outlook.exe, I can start Outlook again and Excel doesn't throw any error message. Nevertheless I tried also to run BO_SyncExt.exe in compatibility mode, I will observe this issue now.
Thanks

Accessing SAP JRA programmatically and passing SSO credentials
Hello,
If you don't mind, can you please explain how to pass the SSO2 ticket to the JRA ConnectionSpecFactory class? The createConnectionSpec method doesn't appear to support an SSO2 ticket to generate the javax.resource.cci.ConnectionSpec object. Or is there another way to pass credentials to the JRA object, maybe by setting a "Properties" map to include the SSO2 string?
If this all seems like jibberish the scenario is this. I am trying to perform a JNDI lookup of the JRA object already defined in NW and perform an RFC call to the Application server using my SSO2 credentials. I have setup the ra.xml file authentication mechanism like this:
<!-- used on WEBAS 630 for SAP Logon Tickets -->
<authentication-mechanism>
<authentication-mechanism-type>Kerbv5</authentication-mechanism-type>
<credential-interface>javax.resource.spi.security.GenericCredential</credential-interface>
</authentication-mechanism>
<reauthentication-support>true</reauthentication-support>
What else do I need to do in my Java application to pass my SSO2 ticket to the JRA object? Any and all advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
SamShowing transaction screen directly without showing login page using webgui
How to pass parameters for second screen to SAP webgui URL
You have several options to do what you want. You can use SSO (Single Sign On), so you have to sign in only first time and with user mapping access all systems.
Another option is pass user&password (security risk) as url parameters:
- sap_user
- sap_password
- sap_config_mode = true
Last one, you can define an ITS service (using SICF transaction) and configure authentication options on "Logon data" tab.

Outlook Integration - Quotations via Office Outlook Web-Access possible?
Dear all,
via the Outlook Integration Add-On it is possible to view, create and edit Quotations via the Outlook Client and synchronize them with SAP Business One. The add-on automatically creates a folder in the Outlook client for all the Quotations.
Our company is using Microsoft Exchange and also the Office Outlook Web-Access function from Microsoft. Means the webbased Outlook Version. Also here of course I can see my quotation folder. But when I click on one of the Quotations in that folder, no any Data get displayed.
My question: Does somebody know a way how at least to display synchronized Quotations also via the web-based Outlook version?
Thanks a lot and best regards,
DavidDear Gordon,
what do you mean exactly by 'Through eMails'? I can see the quotations in my 'Quotations' folder in the outlook web-access Platform. But when I click on any of them, I just can see the subject. But he body (with Quotation details such as Header, Line Items, Footer) is empty. An example of a Subject looks as follows:
41 (Series=11,Key=41) Liberty City Pipes and Fittings - Posting Date: 3/3/2010

Cannot send alert from SAP by Outlook integration
Dear All,
We are on SAP8.8. When we create an Alert for a user query, we want to send the report by e mail as well.
We can receive the report by message in SAP. We have no error message in SAP to say send out failed.
But we didn't receive anything from SAP for the report.
I tried to sent out email from SAP. I click the icon then sent out e mail. It can send out for me. So the outlook integration add-on should be fine. Is there anywhere we should check to see if the e mail has been sent out?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Yukahi,
In Meassges/Alert overview,under sent messages tab,you can see messages which is sent from your system or if you are not able to send email,Goto administration->addons->Outlook integration->Default settings...you check the check box thats it.
