The hosting server for pdf's is not working at the moment and the server technical team is currently working on the issue.
You can still stream the videos but this might not be suitable for you at this time.

How to delete course content (LSO - WBT Training)

I need to know how I can physically delete course content out of the KM without ruining anything in the portal or in the SAP tables. You can mark it as 'obsolete' via the Repository Explorer (right click on the content and you will see the option.) This means it is not available for re-use or for use in a Course Type.
I have a vendor requirement to physically remove the content from servers and I fear that simply marking it obsolete it will not be sufficient.

I was given this bit of information from our LSO implementation partner and these were the steps that were executed. We have tested and at this time this seems to be the best approach.
1. Mark content as obsolete in the AE
2. Access the content folder from the WEBDAV URL, and delete the content from the server.
3. Either mark corresponding course type in the Master Data Catalog to not display on the internet or delimit the course type ( do not delete).

Not able to access UA library Content

Hi,
I am an active member of SDN/BPX community for quite sometime. With the launch of UA community I am eager to join it too.
The system is not allowing me to access the library contents. Can anybody please help me out?

Thanks for your question.
Within the University Alliances Community, check out the Accounting library. There are many resources available to get started. You will find SAP-provided content (whitepapers, cases, solution briefs, etc) as well as overviews of faculty-developed course materials that are available for University Alliances program members to download. There is also some good links to forums in other areas of the SCN community that are related to accounting that may be of interest.
If your university is already a full member of the program, you can request access to this private workspace (cw.sdn.sap.com). Go to the site and register using your university email address, and within 24 hours or so you will have access to the private content.
Also check out the content with in the events and elearning tabs at the top of the page. The events tab has a "webinars" section that may have content of interest; and the elearning page will have all kinds of learning opportunities available - many are free to everyone with a SCN user ID.
If you would like to collaborate with other accounting faculty about how to get started, I would suggest a couple of things. First of all, you may want to start a separate thread within the Reference Desk. The UA team monitors this particular thread to identify faculty having challenges with access - but I suspect it is not reviewed by most faculty that are active on our site. Second, once you have access to the private workspace - you will find an additional discussion forum focused on accounting curricula that you can post a similar thread.

Credentials: I cannot disallow access to course pages

I'm having some trouble getting credentials working to disallow access to particular course pages. I've been able to use the Administrator credential with no trouble. However, I've created some course pages that I would like to be able to restrict to certain users, but even though the permissions look correct, I can still view and download content from unprivileged accounts, even anonymous ones.
On the particular course site in question, the access settings look like this:

Administrator@... : Edit
Authenticated@... : No Access
Unauthenticated@... : No Access*
All@... : No Access
Credentials
Instructor@...:${IDENTIFIER} : No Access
Student@...:${IDENTIFIER} : No Access
Students@... : No Access*
So, it appears that no one should have access but the administrator. But when I log in as an account with no supplied credentials (ie, it gets the All@... and Authenticated@... system credentials; I have verified this via the debug page), I can still access and download content from this site.
Is there something I'm missing, or some more information I can provide? I appreciate any assistance.

I'm seeing this problem well, as well as an inverse variation in which no one can get access to a course, even if I want them to using the ${IDENTIFIER} scheme.
That said, if I jump through enough hopes I can get this working with a set of specific credentials, but alas, not with ${IDENTIFIER}. Bear with me -- there are a lot of notes here describing the different scenarios I followed. If you want to know what worked, skip to the end.

+How it works (or doesn't work)+
My goal is to create courses that can only be edited by an instructor and downloaded by students with the correct credentials using the credentials shortcut system (in which you do not need to specify credentials for each course).
Scenario 1: Create a course based on the Course (Private) template.
If I can create a course based on the Course (Private) template, everyone can see it, regardless of credentials.
If I reassign each credential in the created course to be the same as the private template (by reselecting it from the drop down), then the course still appears for everyone, regardless of credentials.
Scenario 2: Create a course based on the Course (Public) template and change it to Private).
If I create a course based on the Course (Public) template and change all of the settings to reflect what I want for private courses (Admin: Edit, Instructor: Edit, Student: Download) then the course is hidden from everyone.
However, while the course is now cloaked, no one other than admin can access it, even if I pass valid credentials using the ${IDENTIFIER} scheme.
For example, I have a course with an identifier of "course-public-private". It has the following "identifier" credential:

I pass it the following credential as part of the iTunes U login:
Student@urn:mace:lafayette.edu:sites:lafayette.edu:classes:course-public-private
The debugger tells me that this is a valid credential:

But the student *can not* see the course.
Scenario 3: Using specific credentials
If I follow the same process as Scenario 2, but give iTunes U specific credentials, such as:
Edit - Instructor@urn:mace:lafayette.edu:course-public-private
Download - Student@urn:mace:lafayette.edu:course-public-private
... then everything works as you'd expect:
1) The course is hidden to everyone without the appropriate credentials.
2) Admin can see and edit the course.
3) The instructor can see and edit the course.
4) The students can see and download material from the course.
I can not, however, get this to work with the ${IDENTIFIER} scheme. At one point in the past I did have ${IDENTIFIER} working, but alas, that course was destroyed as part of our reorganization of iTunes U in preparation for launch.
Does anyone have authentication with ${IDENTIFIER} working? And if you follow the steps I outline in Scenario #3, can you get a restricted access course working?

How do I access my iCloud content? Specifically movies purchased in itunes. I have multiple Apple devices, one itunes account, one cloud...purchased upgraded storage. The iCloud page on Apple website states that movies purchased in itumes are automatically transferred to the cloud. I can't find the movies unless I sync my devices via a cord. I am interested in purchasing Apple TV but want to make sure I will be able to access movies purchased.

Movies are not stored in icloud. They are on the cloud - yes, but what Apple means, is that you can redownload the movies via the iTunes Store, where all movies are stored (the itunes cloud).

Use a different device.
Adobe did not develop Flash for iOS devices and has ended all Flash development for all mobile devices.
You could try a different browser from the App store such as Skyfire or iSwifter.

You reformatted the drive in your computer. The backup files you want to access were overwritten when you re-formatted the drive. They are gone. There may be data recovery services that can get them back. Search google if you want. This has absolutely nothing to do with using an iPhone at this point. You deleted files on your computer...

Https access to Sap Content Server 620 with R/3 46C

We are trying to access the Sap Content Server 620 via Https.
We do not want to administer it via HTTPS, (as we know CSADMIN doesn't support Https in rel. 46C as for note 712332). We want to do in way that the users when do check-in/out of originals these go across the
network using Https instead Http.
According note 712330 it should be possible.
Anyone already did it ?

We do not know if the criptolibrary ha to be instyalled to the R/3 server to.

Problems for non-US citizens accessing english-only content

I recently switched to Mac OS X and became a registered Apple Developer. I live in Austria, my mother tongue is german, but I have to use english most of the time during work.
I already used the Apple Store (I enrolled in both the Mac Developer and iPhone Developer program). When registering, I had to provide an austrian address for the billing.
Now, I'd like to use the english content of iTunes, mainly the Developer on iTunes (iTunes_U), which I like a lot.
The problem is, I have to switch the contry setting in iTunes back to US when searching for english content. But everytime I reach some non-free content (which can be bought), iTunes complains that my account is valid for Austria only and get logged out and find myself on the landing page with german content. So I have to log in again, switch country back to US and do the game again. This happens very often (more than 10 times a day) and is very frustrating.
What do you suggest I can do?

First, I'd suggest you post questions in the iTunes for Mac forum. You're more likely to get useful assistance there than you will here in the iTunes for Windows forum where solutions are often quite different.
As to your problem, sorry, but I'm afraid that there is probably not going to be an easy solution for you. The iTunes Store in Austria is only available in German, so unless the institution whose content in iTunes U you wish to access makes that content available in English in the Austrian iTunes U or from another source, switching countries back and forth will continue to be necessary if you need that content in English.
The only suggestion I would have would be to set up a separate user account in Mac OS X, connect that account's iTunes to the US iTunes U site, and use Fast User Switching to go back and forth between the Mac OS X accounts. That might be less cumbersome than constantly having to switch iTunes between iTunes Stores.

but the problem is i want to parse any XML file means any Elemets would be change any time using SAX .In the above example
