Access to CS4 if I purchase CS5?

I have a specialty effects plug-in that works for CS4 (After Effects) but is not yet updated to work under CS5. If I purchase CS5 Production Premium, is there a way for me to gain access to the CS4 version of After Effects?

When opening CS4 AE template in CS5 "particular" effect is missing

Hi,
I purchased CS5 today so that I could wotk on a last minute client request involving modifications to a template. However when I open the project I receive the message "particular" effect is missing. Was this bundled with CS4 and is it now not available in CS5? Any suggestions on how I can correct this error?

Particular is a third party plugin from Trapcode. It is not, and has never been, bundled with any version of After Effects.

It's probably the most useful plugin in my After effects tool kit - well worth the money.
Depending on what Particular is used for in your project, other AE-bundled particle plugins like CC Particle World, may be able to replicate what it is you need.

It is not clear to me what your issue is with not being able to sign in to your Adobe account to find the serial number. You should still be able to sign in and find your serial number if you registered the software.
If your first PC is a Windows machine you might be able to extract the serial number from it using the Belarc Advisor

You are trying to find a loophole to circumvent a basic rule that prohibits the transfer of purchased content from one Apple ID to another.
Content tied to an Apple ID are bound to that Apple ID forever. You can not merge or trade accounts. Well, not (officially) anyway...

The only way to do what you want is to log into your wife's iTunes Store account on your iPad. Doing this will lock you out of your account for 90 days.

Upgrade CS4 design premium to CS5.5 standard, what happens with my web apps?

I'm planning to upgrade my CS4 design premium to CS5.5 design standard, but I still like to use Dreamweaver from the CS4. Does anyone know if this is possible. I've chatted with an Adobe sales employe who said I can only upgrade to CS5.5 design premium in order to keep using dreamweaver but I read that other people are using different versions of CS simultanously on 1 computer. Any thoughts?

I respectfully disagree. The license includes a stipulation that you can continue to use the earlier version during a transition period. There is no set time limit there. I have CS3, CS4, CS5 and CS5.5 installed.

I need to get Adobe Dreamweaver for some web work. Rather than spend $399 for DW, I thought I would spend $599 for the upgrade from CS4 Production Premium to CS5 Web Premium... These suites hace a several programs in common but the thing is, I still need to use Encore and the Media Encoder that only exist in Production Premium. After I install the CS5 Web Premium, will I be able to still use (officially or un-officially) a few of my CS4 Production Premium applications on the same system?

Yes, you are right. The web-based online help is available only for the current version of Photoshop. I also discovered how to access the online help that originally came on my CS4 disk. You turn on the offline option (Windows>Extensions>Connections). With the online help from the disk and the PDFs you pointed out, I am happy. Thank you very much. Adobe applications cannot be used on the tablets devices, they does not meet the system requirement.
The application are designed and tested to run proficiently on Desktop/Laptop machines not for tablet.
The only applications available for mobile devices are Photoshop Touch and Ideas.

CS4 Premium Design to CS5 Standard?

I currently have CS4 premium design package I got for my school classes.
Now they have updated to CS5.
The only problem is I know I have to update the suite because it's under a student license.
However, I want to update it to CS5 standard rather than CS5 premium design. Is it still possible to keep CS4 dreamweaver?
If I uninstall CS4 premium and install CS5 Standard can I reinstall Dreamweaver CS4?
Also, I'm not sure if my computer will work with it I know I have enough RAM but here are my computer specs:

CS4 Script Broken in CS5

I'm hoping this is an easy fix! I have a startup script that worked perfectly in CS4 that now complains CS5.
I get a javascript error (number 90884) 'No documents are open'. This is the script:
