Access to libraries denied

My aperture 3 slowed to a crawl, so in order to speed it up I removed the com.apple.aperture.plist file, along with the library/caches files, restarted it all and now I get an error message when I try to select different libraries, effectively denying me access to my 2 earlier libraries.
Anyone had anything similar or know a fix?

I have reverted to 10.6.3, Aperture now runs at the correct speed. however, the problems with my libraries remains. I have found that this file DataModelVersion.plist is missing from each Database file within the library, and they are obviously unique to each library. I copied the file from my active library, and although now each library is recognised, only the active library is available. I need someone who can decifer and write scripts to solve this.

I'm Using Adobe FreeHand MX 11.0, when i need to print out always msg error"Could not complete your request becuase read or write access has been denied".
can your help me  solve it?
i'm using Window Vista Home Premium and a try to upgrade the version but still cannot work.

I get that sometimes when I'm trying to export to PDF (same as printing). The solution I found on another forum some time ago:
    Go into
    C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\Macromedia\FreeHand MX\11\English\Settings
and delete the fhprefs.txt file. The next time you start FH, the file will be regenerated and FH will startup like a new installation. I'm using XP but I find I have to do this fairly often. Don't be discouraged if it doesn't work the first time. Keep trying. Also try deleting fhmxxmgr.txt, logging off and back on the desktop and any combination of the aforementioned.

  • RE: Using JavaMail with JSP when access relay is denied on smtp mail server

Could someone please let me know how to get around the problem of sending an automatic email from a JSP when access relay is denied by the smtp mail server. Could it be that the username and password just needs to be added somewhere???
Any thoughts on how to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you!

I know what you are talking about because I setup no relay on my mail server. I understand why you need to supply a username and password because if the server doesn't allow relay, then you must supply a username and password. Doing it by IP address wouldn't work because you have to know the IP address of all people accessing that page. I am in the same boat as you and once I find out the answer, you'll be the first to know. There is one quick workaround. Get your Net Admin to create a user specifically for the page you plan to send from. Get him to allow relaying for that one user. That worked on my setup and like I said, I'm setup the same way you are. Thanks, J

  • MAC access-list to deny appletalk

can I use mac access-list to deny appletalk frame only, not efect other frame on cat3560?

    Hi,
I'm afraid this is not possible on the 3560. The config guide mentions: "Though visible in the command-line help strings, appletalk is not supported as a matching condition"
    cfr. http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/lan/catalyst3560/software/release/12.2_55_se/command/reference/cli1.html#wp11893267
As far as I can tell, this is a hardware limitation so no 'fix' is to be expected in software.
Having said that, you might be able to achieve almost the same by blocking AARP (the Appletalk Address Resolution Protocol), with something like this:
    mac access-list extended DenyAppletalk
    deny   any any aarp
    permit any any
And then apply that ACL to each interface:
    #(config-if) mac access-group DenyAppletalk in
So you will not be blocking actual Appletalk but you will prevent hosts from learning about each other in the first place, i.e. initially they may still have some cached info but after some time (and certainly after a reboot) the hosts will see no longer see any other appletalk hosts on the network.
I've never tried this or seen this work myself but you may want to give it a go and let us know?

  • Safari access to webmail denied by permissions ?

Since upgrading my IOS, I cannot access my webmail in Safari.  My webmail server says 'access denied as I do not have the right permissions' ?

Hi Alfred, sorry, I replied to my message.  I am not sure exactly what you mean ?  The kids iPad Minis and my laptop (Win7) all work ok off the same hub.  When I try to logon to my web mail through Safari... I access the webmail login screen, put in my User Id, PW and press login, the message returned is... "you do not have the permissions required to access this website.  Please contact the website administrator"
It used to work fine until I updated the IOS, then it worked a couple of times after I cleared the cookies, but now it does not access the webmail at all.
    hope this helps.

  • Can't Access Air Libraries

    Hello,
I recently started using flash builder to aid a flash designer with some AS3 code.  I'm very new to the environment and I feel like I'm missing a large element here.  I can't import in the air libraries.  Here is what we've done.
I have Air installed.  The designer started the project in Flash Professional, created an air desktop application, and I imported in the project into Flash Builder.  He's providing me simple as3 classes.  Everything works fine till I try import air.* or any air library.  I need the functionality of the application updater.  I've tried to add the applicationupdater.swc manually and it recognizes it when I do on my end.  When I go to run the air application in Flash Professional, it's giving me a compile error.  I really feel like I'm missing a key element here when accessing libraries.  I worked in Flash Builder once before and I had a hard time with it.  Any advice?

Rather than using different libraries in teh same computer login account, create a new computer login for her and move her library to that user account.
Then you won't have to hold Shift and select a library.
Also, you will each have all of your own data (contacts, calendars, photos, docuemnts, etc.).

  • How to access iPhoto Libraries folders

    Hi Helpful Apple Lovers!!!
First, thanks for all the past help.
I want to erase the useless original images once they are modified to save on hard drive space. How can I access the contents of the folders, without having to reach it through finder? WIll this allow me to add new folders to a back-up of my past iPhoto Libraries? Thank you all again.

No you can not do this - if you do it via the finder you will corrupt your iPhoto database and lose data - as you have read on these boards iPhoto ALWAYS maintains teh original of every photo in its daabase and you always have the capibility to revert to it
You can export the photos you have modified, delete them in iPhoto, empty the iPhoto trash and import the ones you just exported
WIll this allow me to add new folders to a back-up of my past iPhoto Libraries?
You can always add new photos by importing them into iPhoto - depending on your backup software you may or may not be able to add to old backups

  • After Aperture 3 update, I can't access old libraries. It tells me to close and relaunch but when I do this it just opens again on the same library. Please help!

I have just downloaded the latest iOS update for my computer, and then I was unable to use Aperture until I upgraded its software also. I did this, and it seemed to work fine on relaunch with new version - the last library I had open worked fine. BUT yesterday I tried to open a different library and I got a message saying
"the selected library is from an older version of Aperture and requires a relaunch to switch"
I click the relaunch button and it relaunches but it just opens on the same library again. I don't know how to make it relaunch properly with the different library. Please help!! Thanks

TThe message is a bit deceptive the old libraries need to be upgraded before they can be used. To upgrade quit Aperture select one of the old libraries with the Finder and double click it. This will open Aperture on that library and ask if you want to upgrade it.
WWhile the procedure is safe it is always a good idea to have a backup of the libraries before doing this.

  • Accessing native libraries on the server side of a web service

    Hello,
I'm fairly new to JWSDP-1.2, and was wondering if anyone has had success with getting a service to access a native library. I can run the code standalone by setting -Djava.library.path=<PATH_TO_THE_LIBRARY> on the command line, but how do I set this for a web service? Does this property get set somewhere in the webapp.xml or jaxrpc-ri.xml files that get included in the war file? Can I store the library in the war file directly? Do I need to modify some of the Tomcat initialization files? Any help would be appreciated.
    Rick

Ok, I figured it out. For future reference in case anyone else has the same problem, what I did was create a web service that printed out the current value of System.getProperty("java.library.path"), and ran it so that I could see where Tomcat was looking. I then placed the .so file in one of those locations ($JAVA_HOME/jre/lib/sparc in my case).
Probably not the prettiest solution, but it works.

  • I'm looking for examples of accessing shared libraries

I want to look at some examples of accessing vi's in my shared library.

    Mikey,
In posting your questions, please be as specific as possible. Your questions are confusing.
I don't understand what you are asking. It sounds to me like you want to access a labVIEW DLL from your DLL. I don't think you will find any examples of that here. If this is what you are looking for, then you already have the answer. DLLs are a standard. Calling them is not dependent upon the compiler you use. You call a LabVIEW DLL like you would call a DLL written in VB, C/C++, Java, or whatever.
Of course, in order to access LabVIEW code from C, it must be built into a DLL. Do a search on the NI website for DLL, shared library, etc, and you should find some application notes, and other documentation that will answer your questions.
    Als
o, I strongly suggest that you take the following courses from National Instruments:
    LabVIEW Basics (I and II)
    LabVIEW Advanced (all three days)

  • Upgraded iTunes, cant access shared libraries anymore

I'm certain its the upgrade that did it because its the second time on the same machine. (had to do a time machine restore, and it stopped working before the restore, as well as applying the update after the restore.
The vista pc on my network can see my shared library, but I can't see the library on the vista pc.
    Ideas?

Weird. It was happening between "non equivalent" iTunes Library in the former versions of iTunes (with MacOS at least, in my case).
With the 8th version, I can now listen to my shared Leopard iTunes v. 8 Library on the PM G5 in my office, with my Panther v7 iTunes on my PB400 in the living-room.
Have you tried to suppress the account shared in iTunes Prefs/Port in Firewall and do another time with setting a new access/password ?
