Access to Wi-Fi from my iPod while in Quebec, Canada
I'm trying to get access to my home wireless network. It is with Bell Canada. I type in the correct password but the network but get a "Unable to Join the Network: message. Is it the iPod or the Bell system? I have an iPod touch.
Do other devices suvccessfully connect to the network?
Does your iPod successfully connec to other networks?
Try the following:
- Reset the iPod:
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back your wifi router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

HT1369 I erased my music from my ipod while in itunes. Is it somewhere on itunes
I erased my music from my ipod while in itunes. Is it somewhere that I can get it back?
All of your content should be in iTunes on your computer, simply sync the content back to the device.

After the latest update, I can't delete podcasts from my ipod while it is connected to my computer.
From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Advanced
and check the box marked
Include Bonjour in the Bookmarks menu
if it's not already checked. Then select
Bookmarks ▹ Bonjour ▹ Name of printer
A web page served by the printer should open. Does it? -

Yes, whenever you cannot find something you want at the iBookstore, you simply need to try the other free ereader apps like Kindle, Nook, Kobo, and Googlebooks and see if one of them has it. -
Has my question been received?
Try this on your Destop:
Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now. -
Buying from itunes store while outside of Canada
Hello,
I am travelling to France and my canadian credit card is not recognized in itunes. I dont have a french credit card. How can I still buy items from the canadian itunes. This situation if very frustrating when travelling for a long period outside of Canada.
Is there anything that can be done to change itunes options and be able to connect to the canadian itunes?
Thank you!Strictly speaking, yes, that is correct. You agree not to attempt to use the US iTunes Store from another country whether or not you have a US iTunes Store account. I haven't seen any confirmed reports that Apple is blocking such connections, but that is indeed the official policy.

Transfering an album from an iPod to my computer.
In iTunes, how do I find and update album information that was not originally imported using iTunes?
The artist information for every track on an album accidentally got erased from my iPod while I was listening to it on my computer. Originally when I imported the CD onto my computer, I did not have an iPod yet and did not use iTunes to import it. After getting an iPod, I decided to add this album to it. To make space one day, I erased the album from my computer since it was already on my iPod. I have lost the particular CD that I originally made the mp3 album from.
My iPod is nearly full now, so I can't put it in disk mode and copy my whole iTunes library to it and then automatically manage my library, as this site recommends (I thought maybe doing that would enable me to find the album information using a non-Apple solution).
I have ran out of ideas and can't seem to find anything that is at all helpful to me for this issue anywhere that I have looked on the Apple website. Does anyone know how to let me have my album and the information about it back without breaking the law or Apple's rules? It is absolutely possible. Connect your ipod to the computer. After iTunes recognizes it, go to the Info tab in the ipod screen. There you will see sections for MobileMe, Contacts and Calendars. In the middle you can sync your contacts with Yahoo, Windows Contacts, Google & Outlook. Pick the one you want. I assume you'd either go with Windows Contacts or Outlook since you're syncing with your computer.
After checking the box for "Sync contacts with:" it will default to all. Then at the bottom right of iTunes, the "Sync" button will go away and Cancel and Apply buttons appear. Hit apply. Don't worry, all of the contacts that are on the ipod that are not on the computer will be saved. It will essentially make both the ipod contacts and the Windows/Outlook contacts identical.
Hope this helped. -
How do I get iTunes to recognize my iPod while plugged into the TC?
Ok So I have an Apple Time Capsule which I use as my router and NAS drive. Though I also plug my iPod into the usb port on it. The iPod is recognized on my computer and over the network easily although how can I get iTunes to recognize it and be able to add music and video?

Even though it's physically possible, I doubt an iPod is intended to work that way. Why do you want to do that?

What I believe you're seeing is the disk drive function of your iPod, which is different from the music player function. I'd give up trying to play music from your iPod while connected to a Time Capsule. -
Daughter deleted "Kik" App from her ipod. Is there anyway to retrieve the data?
Delinquint daughter deleted her "kik" application from her ipod while locked in the bathroom....really would like to see if I can get that info back! Clearly not an innocent act...
Kik now requires iOS 4.3 or later.
Your only way is if you have the version that was compatible on your computer such as in the recycle bin/trash or in a computer file backup. In that case delete the current version that is in your iTunes App library and replace it with the older version. Then sync. -
How do I setup my Time Capsule (3rd Generation) to be accessed from the internet while I'm traveling? It is installed on my home network behind my TWC broadband router.
Ok.. since the TWC modem is also a router.. all configuration takes place on this box.. NONE whatsoever takes place on the TC.
There is no airport utility 7.7.3 but there is a firmware of that number for the latest AC model TC..
Is it tall like this.
Then it is Gen5.
otherwise it will have a firmware.. 7.6.4 or earlier and the airport utility must be 6.3 or earlier.
Open the Airport utility and give us a screenshot of the summary page.
That will also help us determine that you have the TC, which version and how it is setup.
You might want to press the edit and also give us the Internet and Network tab as they should be set correctly as well.
I have created a DDNS through DYN.com although I am not sure how to implement this into the TC.
You do not do anything in the TC.. set it up in the Ubee router.
Port forward 548 to the TC in the Ubee router.
And make sure the TC has a static IP in the Ubee router.
Overall if you find this too hard I strongly recommend you buy a product designed for remote access .. eg WD MyCloud.. they are cheap and easy peasy to setup for remote access.. by PC or Mac and since it is built outside of Apple you not bound up in Apple limitations built into all their equipment to prevent you using it the way you want.. rather than apple want you too.. eg BTMM and iCloud being the only way apple provide for access to the TC and only when it is the main router of the network.
You are fighting hard because Apple made this hard.. not easy. -
I am an older novice user. I gave my Itouch to my duaghter....and took her Ipod Classic 64.....have used and played the songs but not updated in a couple years. The laptop I set the account up from died and I downlowded the new 10.6 software onto this PC. /When i signed in to my account I cannot seem to find a place to find my old library. I had more music and movies on the library than on the Ipod classic....was hoping to find it all before i sync up again.
Any tips on how to find or access the old library or did I lose it with the old laptop? LOL...a confused oldie....would like tomove music to my Iphone once all is found and resumed.
Thanks in advance for any insight or suggetions. The old iTunes library was lost with the old PC. However, it all that music and content is still on your iPod there are many ways you can extract this content from the iPod and import it back into iTunes.
Your iPod is designed to sync with only one iTunes library at a time. It will recognize the iTunes library on the new PC as a new library. If you sync the iPod with this new library, all content will be erased from the iPod and replaced with what is in the new library. So what you will want to do is copy everything from the iPod to your new iTunes library on your PC first.
See this older post from another forum member Zevoneer covering the different methods and software available to assist you with the task of copying content from your iPod back to your PC and into iTunes.

My ipod touch has a huge collection of music that I don't want to lose or replace but my computer has now crashed beyond recovery. How can I access my itunes account from another computer or transfer my playlists to another computer from my ipod?
You can transfer iTunes purchases to your "new" computer by

You can transfer other stuff by:

I just purchased a new iMac. My iTunes account is missing a ton of music and only contains "purchased" music. When I try to load music from my ipod to match my imac it only asks if i'd like to sinc my ipod with my account. How do I access my entire library? Thanks
Unless you subscribe to Match, you will have to transfer your non-iTunes stuff from your old computer:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527
If you want to copy non-iTunes music off of your iPod (eg, if your old computer doesn't exist), you'll need to use a third party program. I don't know of any free ones anymore, but if you google, you can find several in the $19 range. -
My ipod has been accessed from another ipod and now it won't let me download anything what do i do
my ipod account has been accessed from another ipod and now it won't let me download anything...What Do I do?
Not sure what you are talking about.
Your ITUNES account can be accessed from any device or computer that has itunes, as long as you have your username and password. Using your itunes account from another device does not affect your ability to use the account from your device.
What is the issue?
You tried to do what?
And what was the result?
Error message?
What did it say?
What have you tried? -
I got a new computer and backed up my iTunes library to an external hard drive. The external hard drive is not allowing me to access the drive. I no longer have access to the old computer. Is there a way to transfer the songs from my iPod touch to my new computer?
That's a bummer, didn't realize the exHD files were corrupt, esp if you have tried from another PC and not just this new computer.
You can get purchases from the itunes store transferred from an iPod using these directions:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848?viewlocale=en_US
If you want everything (meaning non-itunes songs, app data, photos, etc) you need to buy a 3rd-party ipod manager that support iTouch. Here is an iLounge article to start your research:
