We are having an issue running Diadem 8.1 on a new HP XW 9400 with Windows XP SP2. 3 errors have been occuring with frequent crashes, they are:
    1) "1Exception EAccessViolation in module ntdll.dll at 000111DE. Access violation at address 7C9111DE in module 'ntdll.dll". Read address 37363430.

We are using the same scripts and version 8.1 on a variety of Dell desktop computers (W2K and XP SP2) without any issue, looking for suggestions as this affects no other software on the HP XW 9400 other than DIAdem. Appreciate any suggestions.

    Christian,
I will answer your questions in the text below. Thanks for your help.
    Hi swillh,
I also would like to help you.
Unfortunately, The reported access violation in the central Windows ntdll.dll is very unspecific.
May be the following questions will help you to provide me more info.
    1. You mentioned that the aut's and - I think - also the accessed text file reside on a server.
Is there a stable network connection?
The server can sometimes be a little slow but the connection is good. This computer is using the same connection that the prior computer utilized without issue.
Are the files accessed by multiple clients simultaneously?
It is possible that more than one computer can be accessing the same file, but again, this has never been an issue. We are reading the files only, not writing to them.
The processing routines we are running have used for over 5 years without any issues until adding this computer.
Is the text file read by one client while another client is writing the same file?
    No, files are "read only"
    2. Have you already tested opening the file with the FileOpen command before calling FR?
    Yes
Do you see any chance to convert the aut to a vbs file? This gives you more alternatives in accessing text files.
    3. What do you mean with "processing ATD's with 30 or more channels of data"? Where is the relation between ATD files and data channels?
Processing Crash Dummy data with file sets low in channel count (15 channels) result in successful processing without any crashes or access errors.  When processing dummies with more than 20 channels we sometimes encounter these issues. The higher channel count may be the only common factor I can find in these faults.

Sounds like you have a corrupt file and need to download again. As large as the download is, it is not surprising that an error occurs.

    I'm using Win 8.1 64 bit.

Everything related to video in multiple applications appear to be crashing on your machine.  Something is causing that instability.  I can be buggy AMD drivers, game boosting software, overclocking or other failing hardware.  I would suggest a minimal/basic install of your video drivers without the bells and whistles including the catalyst control center (which is also crashing).
You should consider completely uninstalling the current drivers following AMDs guidance:
    http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/GPU57RemoveOldGraphicsDrivers.aspx
Afterward a 3rd party cleaner like DDU should allow you to remove the remaining traces:
    http://www.guru3d.com/files-get/display-driver-uninstaller-download,14.html
You can then try to install older/newer drivers  (August 2013 and above for Windows 8.1 support) until you find a set/configuration that doesn't create system instability.

Currently use Mactive's AdBooker application which has the ability to print a work order which is a Crystal Report they created and is displayed within the application using the Crystal Reports viewer when selecting the File-Send Work Order-Print.  We are able to view the work order report when our default printer is an HP 4000, Dell 5100cn, or Dell M5200.  We've recently added a new Dell 2330dn to our network and when we attempt to display the work order when this printer is selected as the default printer, the error listed in the Subject field is displayed.  The only difference between the printers listed is the printers we are able to print to are using Postscript level 2 drivers and the Dell 2330 has a Postscript level 3 driver which we are assuming may not work with the Crystal Viewer?  Does anyone know of a Postscript level 2 driver that could be used with the Dell 2330dn?  Dell's website & forums do not contain any Postscript 2 drivers.  Thanks.

If you can open one of those reports using that same driver using Crystal Reports Designer to verify it does work. You may have to open each report up and set the default printer to this new one.

  • Access Violation at Address 7C91B21A

I keep getting the following Linksys error:
"Access violation at address 7C91B21A in module 'ntdll.dll'. Write of address 00000010."
Also, whenever I open the Linksys Wireless Network Monitor, it says something about not being able to connect to/at the access point?
I'm so confused. Just yesterday, I wasn't having any problem connecting to the internet. Now, it's not even showing that I have an available wireless network. If I right click on "wireless network connection" in my network connections, and click "view available wireless networks", it doesn't show any in range!
I'm currently using my neighbor's internet (with their permission) to send this message, in an attempt at resolving the issue, but it's honestly driving me absolutely mad. Is there anyone who has any idea what the problem is?
Also, if it helps at all, I'm under the impression that my PC is the problem, as opposed to the router, because my PS3 is picking up the wireless signal just fine.
I appreciate any and all feedback!
    Thanks.

Un-install the Linksys Montior from the Programs Menu and then try to re-install the adapter...
If you could not un-install the adapter you should reboot the system in Safe Mode and then perform the un-install...Once un-installed you should re-install the drivers...
To re-install the Drivers insert the Linksys Setup CD into your CD-ROM drive, When the Welcome screen appears click Exit.Leave the adapter connected to the PC and reboot your computer...Once the computer is rebooted you should see a message "Found new Hardware"...When the  Hardware Update Wizard window appears, click Install the software automatically (Recommended) then click Next and it should install the adapter drivers...
NOTE : This installation doesn't install the software(Linksys Monitor)...
Once the Adapter is installed, Click on the Start button >>> Control Panel >>> Network Connections- Right click on the "Wireless Network Connection" icon and select "View Available Wireless Networks"- If you see your wireless network in the list, highlight it by 'single' clicking on it- Now click on the 'Connect' button below- If your wireless network is secured, it would ask you to provide the network key- Provide the wireless network key and confirm it again in the confirmation box and click "Connect"...It should connect to your Network and Internet...

This is issue is coherent in DRM version 11.1.1.2
Whenever a property is deleted, the references to that property would still exists/stored in tables. The next version of DRM is made to address this issue, where in it takes care of removing all references whenever we delete the property.
Cause: Properties was deleted from DRM client but the value was still stored in the compare table for Difference export and causing export to fail.
Solution: Need to recreate the deleted properties and remove the properties in the exports and delete the properties.
Going Forward: Instead of deleting the properties we need to remove the property from the export and hide the property.
    Hope this helps.

  • Java.exe crashing with Dr Watson access violation at address 500bf974

We have been sucessfully runing an application delveloped with JDK 1.2.2 on a Pentium III machine with Windows NT 4 SP5 (384Mb RAM). I have replaced the Pentium III machine with a pentium 4 with 1Gb RAM (still running NT4 SP5). In fact, I simply took the HDD out of the PIII and installed it in the P4.
All applications work correctly (Sybiz Vision, MS Office 97 suite), however, when I go to run the java application is crashes and a Dr Watson Access Violation in java.exe error is generated.
    I have:
    1. Reinstalled the JDK 1.2.2.
    2. Confirmed that all hardware drivers (new NIC, Video and Sound Card) were updated with the appropriate versions from the hardware suppliers web pages.
    3. Read thru previous posts on this site (and others) for similar errors, but have only been able to find similar questions.
    4. Lowered the video card display colours to 256 rather than 65,536.
None of the above have made any difference.
I hope this question will prompt the java/Dr Watson gurus out there to help me resolve this frustrating problem.
    Thanks in anticipation.
    Greg

Consider getting 1.2.2_014, or whatever is the latest version of 1.2.2. I think there were some issues with Pentium IV processors which were fixed in one of the later incarnations of the JDK.
You can get the latest version of 1.2.2 from the following url:

  • PlayOnLinux - Access violation at address 00001F70.

I've tried to install several games using PlayOnLinux, and they all have this same problem. I've tried with Heroes of Might and Magic III Complete, Fallout, Planescape: Torment, and Jagged Alliance 2. I've tested all the POL scripts in Linux Mint 17.1, and they all work there.
The installation always starts out just fine, but when the installer gets to the "Creating shortcuts"-phase, it shows this error prompt: http://i.imgur.com/ZBtAZKi.png
The installation then appears to finish normally, but after pressing the finish button, there's another error prompt, and this is shown: http://ix.io/fvQ
After that, PlayOnLinux shows me these screens:
    http://i.imgur.com/nunJaH9.png
    http://i.imgur.com/KxR9F5j.png
After all this, the main PlayOnLinux screen doesn't even show the game in the menu, though the virtual drive is still there.
I'll be honest: I don't even know where to start trying to fix this. A Google search doesn't yield much that is useful, except for this: https://www.playonlinux.com/en/issue-4916.html
There the solution was to edit the POL script to use another version of Wine, but even then they had problems, not to mention the fact that the scripts work in Linux Mint without any edits.
I've tried to include everything relevant, but like I said, I don't really know what's going on here, so I don't know what's really relevant and what isn't.
    Thanks in advance.

The error under "Error in POL_Wine" says "Wine appears to have crashed". Then under that, it says "if the program runs, ignore this message".
In the next screen, the message under "Error in source" says "Error in installation of the archive".
Unfortunately, running PoL with LANG=en didn't work, but since I had the console open for it, I noticed this pop up when the installation failed:
ALSA lib dlmisc.c:254:(snd1_dlobj_cache_get) Cannot open shared library /usr/lib32/alsa-lib/libasound_module_pcm_pulse.so
    I have both the 64 and 32-bit alsa-lib and alsa-plugins installed.
Edit: this popped up in the console after closing the installed:
