Access Violation within a Single Role Report displays duplicate data

The output of the 'Access Violation within a Single Role' report under Incident Reports in GRC includes some rows which repeat with identical data.
I created a test responsibility with conflicting controls in Oracle r12 instance to find out whether it gets reflectedwhen i run the report. But i didnt find the responsibility.
Is it a set-up error or is there a logic behind this occurance? Please provide inputs.

I believe the conflicts shown would show up as many times as there are violations. So if a particular control had 2 entitlements and those had several access points, I would think a violation would show for each access point. Can you confirm this?
Also do you have the latest AACG? This will help verify that you have the latest with bug fixes.

Multiple subreports within a single main report?

I'm a newbie to BI Publisher, but have used Crystal Reports quite a lot.
I have a requirement which essentially consists of a set of 7 similar and closely related reports, each using a different SQL Select statement and printing different columns; the user will have the option of selecting either one of the 7, or all of them.
In Crystal Reports I would set up 7 subreports within a single main report, and depending on the parameter, suppress those subreports which are not required.
Is there a technique within BI Publisher which would enable me to achieve the same thing?

all the sub templates will go against a single XML. So if your sub reports in CR is handling different query, you need to take a step back and think of separating data and layout. So multiple queries will be handled by data templates. So, for example, if your main report fetches some records as Q1 query, and you have two sub templates with queries as SQ1, SQ2 (linked subreport). Then we have to see what relationship exists between the main report and the subreport. Say, the sub report query creates a relationship with the Main report data, to filter certain records. So this can be achieved in data template using Q1 and SQ1 using bind relationship, ie, Q1 is master query and SQ1 is a detail query. Similarly Q1 and SQ2 relationship can be established. The datatemplate when executed, will fetch a single XML data.So in this case you do not need sub template. The sub-report layout is not separate, and is to be created with the main report.
In case of unlinked subreport, the content of subreport is independent of main report, so you can simply define two datasets in BI Publisher and then select the Concatenation option. So the final XML data will be a concatenation of two XML data. The main report can read data of the main XML and the sub template can read data from the appended XML data. This can be done using xPath.

Post EhP4 Upgrade - SUIM does not show Composite Role report

I'm having trouble in SUIM after we upgraded to EhP4. Specifically in the Roles by complex criteria selection.
When a list of single roles is displayed, I select a role and click on Contained in Composite roles (3-arrow button)
Instead of showing me the list of comp role that selected single role is found in, I get a collective list of all the single roles that are located in the same composite roles as the selected single role is found in.
Any help out there?

RWRBE60.exe has generated an exception: access violation

I have a user who uses Oracle report called from a form. Several times a day she reports that she get a Dr. Watson application error saying that RWRBE60.exe has generated an exception: access violation when she invokes the report runtime (while running the report not printing it). She is running Windows NT Version 4.0, SP 6; She has 256K memory. She is running Forms 6.0.5.0.2 and Oracle Report 6.0.5.28.0. Any thoughts?

I've got a similar problem. I'm running windows xp and reports 6.0.8.22 including Patch 13. I don't get the same error, but the RWRBE60.exe stops with a problem. That only occurs by using reports where the parameters are variable and only by the second time I call such a report. If I close the RWRBE60.exe after the first report that probem doesn't occur. Maybe you could check, whether the problem doesn't occur if you close RWRBE60.exe between two reports.

Access violation error

The two most common causes for "Access violation" are:
1) Windows is not up to date, and/or
2) You are running a very old program

Authorization roles for display access to PD transactions

Hi all,
There is a requirement to create a new security role to allow display access to PD transactions :
> Organisational and Staffing Display PPOSE,
> Display Position PO13D,
> Display Organisational Unit P010D
With this role, display access needs to be restricted to view organisation units and positions within the line of business where the position with this security role sits, eg position is within Direct Sales and Service 55001641 therefore they can only view organisational structures that report through to this top org unit.
Any inputs regarding this would be appreciated.

SOX report containing only composite, without single roles.

Hello SAP experts.
I have a question regarding SOX report. Would it be possible to somehow set/filter the report to only display COMPOSITE roles but not the generated single roles?
For example role ZHRFIC_EMPLOYEE has a generated role ZHRFIS_EMPLOYEE. When i run SOX, both of the roles are displayed, which is what i do not want. Only ZHRFIC_EMPLOYEE is what i want to be displayed and afterward to be put in the excel.

I am actually doing this throug SUIM > USER > By complex selection criteria. Then i fill User Group field with the needed user group and execute.
A bunch of users comes out with all of their profiles / roles and if the user has any composite role then also the single roles appear in the report. Is there any option to disable displaying of generated single roles?

First of all ensure that the fields that you need to audit have been configured.
refer to the documentation of report RPUAUD00.
You will need to create a report that extracts data fromPCL4.
If your audit data has been configure as Lond documents then look at using FM HR_INFOTYPE_LOG_GET_LIST &
HR_INFOTYPE_LOG_GET_DETAIL
If not you will to extract the header info & then the BELEGE info - beware of the differnt operas inuse.

Access violation (0xC0000005) at EIP=0x012B60E6 within a dynamically called VI

I have been seeing Access violation (0xC0000005) at EIP=0x012B60E6 within a dynamically called VI.
The VI is called by reference and is strictly typed.
The VI controls a function generator, a robot and a microcontroller device.
All of the above are synchronised using functional globals.
If I let the code run the FG will operate so I know the top level dynamic VI has defiantly been called and successfully entered, however within that VI as other VI’s are called (there are many) LV crashes with access violation.
The VI's within the top level VI are using HiD communicatiuoins over USB with the peripheral instrumants.
The LV crashes are totally random and sometimes the code will operate until the end and close down successfully.
I can only seem to guarantee smooth operation if I set a breakpoint within the top level VI, then the entire system runs perfectly.
In fact it seems that even if I remove the breakpoint (after the first break) and close the VI the system will continue to run until close.
Has anyone any ideas? I have run out!

I have been looking at your issue and wanted to ask if you are calling the VI's into Teststand, using the LabVIEW adapter?
If this is the case, it may be worth looking at another forum post regarding the issue.

ACCESS VIOLATION error in Report

Hi,
I am getting an access violation when trying to save a report. The report only has two worksheets. ONe is a table of contents and one of them is a template for plotting data.
Error while executing "PicSaveAs(FileDlgName)" command

I am using Diadem 2011.
Basically, I am trying to create a template file to make plots with. I have a script that copies my template plot, plots the next channel, and repeats for all channels in the data portal. The script works fine, and I got it to run once. HOwever, I wanted to make a change, and something happened to my original template file. So I open my report with 100 pages, delete all pages (and by the way WHY CAN I NOT DELETE MORE THAN ONE PAGE AT ONCE? this is very annoying that i have to do this one at a time (and confirm every time) either by manage or delete options) except one, and I try to save this as my template plot and I get this error...tried several times...Any ideas?

Hello Jason,
a workaround for you could be to open two instances of DIAdem. Open your report in DIAdem one.
Open first page and select "Edit->Select All" and "Edit->Copy" go to your second DIAdem and open Report with an empty report. Select "Edit->Paste" and your template is restored.

Displaying multiple dynamic html pages within a single Portal folder.

Question: How can I display multiple dynamic html pages that are linked to each other, within a single portal folder?
History:
I have a designer/web server application (PL/SQL packakges) on Oracle
8.1.7. Early in the development process we built it into WebDB2.2 and
used folders on the left side as a navigation bar and the contents of my packages on the right side. This was easy, WebDB used Frames.
Unfortunatley I could never automatically display a PL/SQL item in the folder area.
Now I need to integrate the application into Portal 3.0 not the early adopters version, the one with 9iAS (NT for now, Unix later). I have a page/content area divided into regions and a navigation portlet on the left side containing links to PL/SQL folders whose contents are displayed on the right side. On the right side I have (for example) a Queryview. When I click on any of the buttons (i.e. Find, New), I land in a new page outside of my portal folder. This page contains a dynamically built list (from one or more DB Tables) and of course the first column contains a list of links that bring you to the individual item. How do I set my links or configure my folder to display
within the portal folder area?

One alternate is, increase the size of your screen, for this go to the layout of your screen and increase it as much you want, and also the custom container size, so that no scroll bar will appear at least.
Other solution would be, as you said ALVs will be dynamical, it will be good to create buttons, or links on the screen based on the no of ALVs dynamically and on click of corresponding button call the corresponding ALV.
But i dont think this will serve, first check the first option.

I have the following code:

I am getting this errror:
Field TTT is unknown. It is neither kin on e of the specified tables nor defined by a DATA statement.
For some reason, my single quote is not being recognized from my keyboard. I noticed that my emotion icons are not being displayed either (example: I type and i do NOT get the smiley face on my end).
Is there a button that I pressed that caused that?

Add a single role to different composite roles in one step

Hello everybody,
I am working on SAP authorizations, and we often have the situation that a new Tcode is developed and a new role for this Tcode needs to be created.
Than this new role needs to be added to many different composite roles (sometimes more than 100). At the moment I enter the single role to the composite role and regenerate the menu and this one by one. After that I add them with PFCG_MASS_TRANSPORT to my transport request.
I don't want to believe that there is no easier way. Any ideas?

What you wrote definitely makes sense, but we agreed that every user only gets one composite role assigned and this composite role contains all single roles needed for his job. We do not assign single roles to users.
The requirement is that every finance guy should get access to it (by the way, it is a report) unfortunately we have many different sites and may different composite roles for the different positions in the finance area.
And I did not identify a role which is part of every composite role in the finance area, so I would either have to add it to the most common role present in these composite roles and additionally create a new role which gets assigned to the composite roles where I add the T-Code to is not present.
-> In this example I would add one T-Code to two roles. Which our security manager disallowed me...
or make this role available in all finance composite roles, which will give these employees access to other T-Codes which are part of the role but which they should not receive.
-> Which again... our security manager disallowed me...
So the only solution I imagined was to create a new role which contains this T-Code and to add this role one by one to every composite role.
And at the end, your concept is also taken into account because the design of this role is open and if we get a new reporting T-Codes which again need to be added to all Finance guys, I definitely add it to this role

What does this error mean? Error: Access violation at address 0053DD46

I am trying to run diff reports using batch scripts, and its very puzzling that some of the diff report scripts within the batch script are running and some are not, there is no consistency to what is getting errored out.
I then tried running them manually in foreground on the client and I get the same issue. Has anyone encountered this issue? What do I make of it?,

This is issue is coherent in DRM version 11.1.1.2
Whenever a property is deleted, the references to that property would still exists/stored in tables. The next version of DRM is made to address this issue, where in it takes care of removing all references whenever we delete the property.
Cause: Properties was deleted from DRM client but the value was still stored in the compare table for Difference export and causing export to fail.
Solution: Need to recreate the deleted properties and remove the properties in the exports and delete the properties.
Going Forward: Instead of deleting the properties we need to remove the property from the export and hide the property.

Access Violation in Metadata::getVector()

My code gets a list of the tables in a schema, but I am running into a problem in the case where there are no tables in the schema. The first step in my code is to get the schema object list:

std::vector<MetaData> objList = md.getVector(MetaData::ATTR_LIST_OBJECTS);
When there are no tables in the schema (it has just been created), the call to getVector() encounters an access violation. Has anyone else run into this? Is there a way to get a count of the schema objects before calling getVector()?
I am using Oracle Instant Client 10.2.0.1, and the database is 10g (I get the same error when the database is 11g).

I can confirm the same behaviour using 11.2.0.1 on 64-bit Windows.
I also put together a plain OCI test application and it does not display this same behaviour.
It might be worth raising a Service Request with My Oracle Support (if you have support). It would be interesting to know what support have to say if you do.
However, my experience using OCIDescribeAny (the underlying OCI call) is that it is "sometimes apparently unreliable." I put those last words in quotes as the behaviour I have observed may be expected, but I have never dug deep enough to confirm. Mostly because I don't do much describing for things other than result sets.
Here's what I mean about "sometimes apparently unreliable"... using the same OCI test if I connect to the database as the user whose schema I want to describe all works as expected (even if there are no objects in the schema). However, if I connect as a different user, sometimes the describe works and sometimes it doesn't. Well, it returns 0 as the number of objects in the schema even if there are more than 0. For example, I have a user called "admin" with the DBA role and if I connect as that user and try to describe, say, the "scott" schema, 0 is returned as the number of objects in the schema. But, if I connect as "system" and perform the exact same operations, the correct number of objects (and other data) is returned.
I realize that is not much help in getting around your particular issue here. Perhaps you could query the all_objects view using owner=<schema of interest> (or just the user_objects view if you are connecting as that user)?
