ACCESSIBLE CONTENT ADMINISTRATION Role

Hello,
Can anyone tell me the difference between " Content Administration " and "Accessible Content Administration" Roles.
Thank You
Avik

Accessible Content Administration
The portal provides a set of interfaces that can be used by administrators who need to create and administrate portal content within an accessible environment.
This accessible Portal Content Studio does not duplicate all the functionality of the Application Designer, but it does provide sufficient functionality for creating and editing selected objects, and it enables the basic flows required by the administrator.
Content Administration
The content administrator is responsible for all tasks that are relevant to content creation and maintenance directly in the portal.

  • Content Administration - KM Content workset direct url access

    Hi,
As we know we have KM Content workset under Content Administration. When I right click and select "Open in new Window" for "KM Content" again Home page is opening.
How can I get the url to access directly "KM Content" page?
Please let me know if any body has an idea to get this.
    Thanks

KM Content is a workset under Content Administration role
You can directly acess the workset using Quick Links.
Navigate to  content admin->portal content. in that pcdcontent->content provided by SAP->Admin content-> conent administrator->worksets.
There you find the KM content. dupicate that in to your folder and open as object
and Set the  'quick links' property as km_content
then  below url  will directly access the KM content (provided you are having conent admin role).
    http://<FQDN>:<port number>/irj/portal/km_content

  • Content Management Roles in SAP

    Hello Everyone,
There are three Content Management Roles provided by SAP, but when we search for these roles in User Administration -> Roles,  only one Content Management role is shown up. Can anyone explain ??

    Hello,
If u search for "Content Manager" in  the search tab under Content Administration role, u'll b able to see 3 Content Manager roles as follows:
Content Manager with PCD Location   "pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/specialist/com.sap.km.ContentManager/com.sap.km.ContentManager"
    Content Manager with PCD Location
    "pcd:portal_content/specialist/contentmanager/ContentManager"
Content Manager with PCD Location "pcd:portal_content/specialist/contentmanager/com.sap.km.ContentManager"
But if u do the same search in User Administration -> Roles, only one Content Manager role with PCD location "pcd:portal_content/specialist/contentmanager" is shown up. This was what I meant.
    Any idea on the same?

  • Content Administrator Default Folder

    Hi All,
Does anyone know how to start the Content Administrator role and have the default PCD folder (for content creation) point to something other than the root?
I have looked into the role, and the Content Admin page (com.sap.portal.portal_content), and into the Content Catalog iView (com.sap.portal.contentCatalogTreeContent).
The property 'TreeFirstLevelNodes" is default.  Does anyone know valid values for this property?
Or is there a better for different way to change the default folder.
The reason I want to this is create copies of the content admin role for regional admins.  I want the PCD navigator to start in thier folder, and I dont want them to see the entire PCD structure, even if they only have read permission.
    Best regards,
    Justin

The installer receipts in /var/db/receipts contain lists of the files installed by various Mac OS packages. You can read them in the shell with lsbom, or in the GUI with the third-party application Pacifist.

  • Content administration authorization

    Hi Gurus,
Can any body tell how to give only content administration authorization to user
i have created one role and i have assigned the work set contentent administration to that role, and given the end user permissions to user and assignd the role to user
still i am getting exception Access denied
can any body please help me on this
    thanks and Regards,
    Kishore

    Hi,
By default only the super_admin_role is owner for the contents in PCD.
So users having this role can edit the contents in PCD.
If you assigned any user only Content administration role, he now has no permissions to edit. So login with some user who has super_admin_role and assign your new user permissions where he is allowed to edit in PCD.

  • Role contentmanagement vs content administration

    HI,
We have Enterprise portal installed along with KM and colloboration. Now I see that the KM content is distrubuted in many worksets.. I just want to make clear why it is done so?
There are three places where we deal with KM content
    1. System Administration --> System Configuration --> Knowledge Management
    2. Content Administration --> KM Content
    3. Content Management.
why didnt workset "KM content" be included in Content Management Workset, becuase all the things taht we can do in KM content workset can be done in Content Management Explorer workset, although all the repositories are not defined here.
why didnt they move this KM content stuff to content management?
    could someone please explain me?

    Hi Shiva,
    here a brief explanation:
    1. System Administration --> System Configuration --> Knowledge Management
Here you do the KM Configuration, so set up repositories, repository services, etc.
    2. Content Administration --> KM Content
This is the place where you can see all KM repositories (depending on permissions of course) and perform administrative tasks, like setting up permissions, run reports, etc.
    3. Content Management
This is the place for content manager to manage and structure information and provides the folder structures that end users and authors need to find.
The important difference here is that two different user groups are provided with different worksets. KM Content is intended for Content Administrators who create the iViews in which users access KM folders and can set initial permissions. Only after that is done, the content managers take the responsibility for the KM content of an entire organization or only for a part of an organization, such as a department.
    Hope that clarify things,
    Robert

  • Administrator Role deleted ???

    Hi all,
Accidentally administrator role deleted in UME.When i login j2ee_admin i deleted administrator role in ume what i do Now i am login via j2ee_admin it gives error what i do plz tell me. How i found administrator role ???
    Help me Plz
    Thanks
    Kumar

    Hi Kumar:
For all the non UME Roles content in Portal has some action. So I guess for Administrator Role should have an action pertaining to its admin responsibilities. Try to Create Role under Identity Management and assign the action equivalent to it.
    Goto:
User Admin >  Identity Mgmt > Role > Create User > Give Name > Assign Action.
Note: I'm currently not at EP server for few days, plz check the option said above and I hope they might work for you.
If my guess is correct, you can get the Action for already existing Administrator Role from other EP Server in your organization.
    Tnx,

  • Iview created in Content Administration not displayed in Portal

    Hi,
I have created a Bex Query as iview in Content Administration existing SAP Standard folders.
I have assigned this to a workset and then to a Role.
I dont see the iview in the Portal. Are there any additional steps to see the iview in portal.
    Version: Bex 7.10
    Thank you,
    Vasu

    Hi Vasu,
Once you created Bex Query iview : then check whether you Iview properly assigned to workset/role or not..
Open workst object - check your iview, if not assigned then assign iview as delta link
Open role object - check your workset, if not assigned then assign workset as delta link
Then Make your Role as entry point - open role object, check Entry point radio button- select 'yes' then must save it.
Then got user administrator -> search your role and assign to your userid. Now you can refresh, you will see the tab as your role in the portal.
    Hope it helps
    Regards
    Arun

Go to the assigned roles tab
    search for the Content Manager
Add only pcd:portal_content/specialist/contentmanager/ContentManager role and save.
