Accessing control centre.

Updated to iOs7. Finding my way around it. Now for some odd reason I cannot use 5fingers to close apps or access control centre in apps or even on home screen.......help!

Thanks for responding. I must have played around with settings and gestures weren't working. Reset settings and fixed it. Quite like closing apps down 2 or 3 at a time.........

Changing screen lock without accessing control centre

My iphone 4 screen wont work at the bottom, I am not able to put space, or grammar in texts. I have tried to change the screen lock but I can't get to the control centre as I can't swipe it up. Is there another way to change this setting?

My issue is that I cannot swipe up, the bottom portion of my screen has stopped working, I am un able to put spaces in texts or switch between grammer and letters, so unfortunatley swiping up for control centre is not an option. So there is no other way to take off the portrait lock?

Air play is not on my iPad mini anywhere (from what I can see. Scrolled up from the bottom of screen to access control centre. Have air drop but not air play. Air play logo not seen In music. Cannot play through my altec lansing 5000 speaker system like I used to be able to before the ios7 download

I can't get swipe up to open control centre

When I swipe up I don't get control centre but it just shows me all the open pages. I can't access control centre at all. Is there a work around to get me into it?

You are swiping/dragging up with one finger from the very bottom edge of the screen ? And if you are doing it when you have an app open on screen then you have Settings > Control Centre > Access Within Apps set 'on' ?

HT5858 Control centre access.

I just upgraded to the 5s and I cannot access the control centre from the lock screen anymore. I have read that this is due to a security issue. This is a function that I always use. It is very convenient, specially in my job when I need access to the torch quickly,
I would like to ask if this functionality will be restored? And when?

Is notification center showing up when you swipe down ?
Check in your settings if control center is checked :
Settings > control center > check both "lock screen" and "access within apps"
gently swipe up beginning outside the screen, just a few inches up (you don't need to swipe up to the top of the screen.
if detected the airplay option will appear in the control center.

Can you use portrait orientation lock without the control centre on ios7

With regards to the question above does anyone know another way to lock the screen orientation without the use of the control centre (e.g. like the old way of double clicking the home button). The reason being is that I have a case that fits the screen perfectly so my fingers cannot get to the bottom of the screen to access the control centre. Many thanks in advance

According to page 23 of the user manual http://support.apple.com/manuals/ the only way to change the orientation is with the control enter

I can't open the control centre or notification centre on my phone unless it is locked. When my iPhone 4s it unlocked I csnt pull up or pull down either. What do I do?

Do not disturb is also accesible in settings, so you may be able to temporarily avoid the issue by allowing calls from everyone and having it only silent while locked, or perhaps secheduling might work. Other than that, restarting your device may be an option.
Is there any reason you know of that might be making you unable to access control center?

Can't open control centre

I have a Griffin survivor cover on my iPhone 4S and have just installed iOS 7. I can't open the control centre because of the case covering the edge of the screen. It seems strange because I can open the camera from the locked screen which is the same action as to open the control centre. It's quite frustrating to find that you can't use one of the best new functions of iOS 7. Does anyone know if there is any other way to open control centre?

How about adding the Control Center as a feature on the AssistiveTouch icon in the Accessibility part of the settings?? This icon is designed to assist if you are having difficulty touching the screen, which seems to be the problem all of us (including myself) are having. Otherwise preloading some multitouch gestures would be the super clean and professional way about solving it. You guys should really have loaded iOS 7 with multitouch gestures for moving backwards and forwards within apps like Safari, Messages, and others like them. E.g., two-finger swipe across for back or forward while browsing, two-finger swipe up or down for Notification or Control Center. Heck, use three-finger swipes if if interferes with the zooming or something else. Just saying you guys really need to step up your multitouch gesture game. iPads and MacBook Touchpads have had them for years!!!!

Since the Control Center is not opening anywhere but on the Lock Screen, I would start by toggling the option to Access on Lock Screen off first:
Use Control Center on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support
Settings > Control Center.
Then quit all the running apps on the device:
iOS: Force an app to close
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that restart the phone and test the issue again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

I have no Control Centre on ipad or iphone, both with IOS 7.0.4. Really weird!

Ipad and iphone are both synched but have no Control Centre at all. Apparently, it should come up by double clicking and left swiping or just up-swiping from any screen. Both options are enabled in Control Centre preferences - that does show up ins ettings but there does not seem to be any way to access the control centre at all. Very strange, have tried resetting both devices to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. phil.

Thanks - that fixed it. I was just putting my finger on the screen then swiping up which didn't work.

Since i update to iOS8 for iphone 5.
Having problem to slide down/up notification centre and control centre.
too much choices of access in Assistive touch. Choice of notification/control centre is pointless, since ios7 we can slide it down/up.
why Apple dont have any twitter account for people to share. Seems like theres no PIC to incharge about customers problem.
Im quite regret upgrading to iOS8.

I have figured out the solution to all of our problems!!! We can keep the zoom function ON!!!! Yay!
Step one. Turn back on the beloved zoom function.
step two. Tap screen with 3 fingers.
step three. Select window zoom. (If already selected move on to step Quatro)
step qautro. Select Resize lens.
and for the moment you've all be waiting for... Drum roll..
the grand finale step. IS...
shrink the window to the smallest size.
AFter you have done these 5 steps, you can thoroughly enjoy having all three functions at once. If you switch back to Full Screen Zoom (if that be your preference) the notification and control centers will remain functional! Bon apetit!
i have been successful enlarging the window while keeping the centers functioning by making sure the window is in the shape of a square.

Hi, I have i07.3 but the Control Centre is not showing up anywhere? Not in menu, not in settings and not when I swipe from bottom of screen? Can anyone please assist? Have I done something wrong? Do I need to reload i07?has anyone else had this problem?

Go into settings, control center and see if it's been turned off. You have the ability to choose if you want to access it from within apps or the main page or neither.
