Dear Experts,
How can I access the CUCM 6.1 Database to get some data from the logs?

Logs are accessed via RTMT; however, you can access the database via the CLI or the AXL toolkit. AXL is your only direct SQL interface option under the VOS appliance model.

  • Fail to install a trusted(SSL) certificate on CUCM 10.5

    Hi Guys,
    I have generated CSR from CUCM and have got it signed by CA.:
    There are two kinds of certs in the cert chain - CA certs and end-entity certs. For example, the cert represent your box is "cucm01.acme.local". This is end-entity cert.
    "cucm01.acme.local" was issued by a CA called "parent.someCA.com".
    "parent.someCA.com" was issued by a CA called "grandparent.someCA.com".
    And "grandparent.someCA.com" is the top (root) CA.
     I'm trying to upload the signed CA by following steps:
    1.Upload "grandparent.someCA.com" as "Tomcat Trust" cert.
    2.Upload "parent.someCA.com" as "Tomcat Trust" cert.
    3. Upload "cucm01.acme.local" as "Tomcat" cert. In the "Root Certificate" field, you should fill in the .pem file name of its parent.on the OS admin page > Security > Certificate Management.
    The issue is on step 3, I couldn't find any  "Root Certificate" field in both "Tomcat" cert and "Tomcat Trust" cert.  Please see attached screenshot.
    Is there any step I missed or wrong?

    when I try to access CUCM with its hostname, it still shows "There is a problem with this website's security certificate."
    I click errors to view the details. It shows."This CA Root certificate is not trusted because it is not in the Trusted Root Certification Authorities store."
    But I have opened the root CA and installed them into Trusted Root Certification Authorities.

  • Cisco CUCM 6.0 service can not start

    Hi,
    Last week our CUCM 6.0 server service was down, the IP phone can not register and can not used browser to access CUCM server, use ssh client to access was ok. We have tried to restart system several times, but the system still not work.
    I execute "utils service list" command, it show :
    admin:utils service list
    Requesting service status, please wait...
    System SSH [STARTED]
    Cluster Manager [STOPPED] Service Not Started
    Service Manager [Not Running]
    Warning: Service Manager need to be running for all Call Processing Applications
    Service Manager [Not Running]

    Please help to advise how to recovery this system?

    Did you get any error message ( asking for recovery disk ) during server reboot ?
    If yes, then you need to download the Recovery software for your CUCM version from CCO ( or look for the Recovery disk in your media set received with CUCM ), here it is

    Recovery disk should fix any issues caused due to any file corruption etc & start all the important services.

  • New CUMA 7.x can't web access ?

    Hi friends ;
    new CUMA installation for MCS7845-I2 server. Just follow the instruction installation step. Right after finish the installation some how not able web access to CUMA server. the web links is http://10.10.10.1:7080/adminportal . Suspect that w/s issue, but other w/s not able access too. Those w/s can access cucm, cup unity no issue. What could be wrong ? Pls advice.

    You may double check the below steps for verifying CUCM PG UP & Active.
    CUCM Configuration:
    Goto CUCM and create one application user "cucmpguser" and associate the CTI Route Point with thi user.
    Associate All CTI Permissions to the user.
    Access CUCM from ICM Machine and browse for Pluggins and download  JtapiClient for Windows and install it on PG server.
    ICM Configurations:
    Goto Admin Workstation> PG Explorer > and configure your PG for CUCM and note down your peripheral name,  logical ID &  peripheral id .
    Run ICM Setup, choose peripheral gateway, select node as Side A or Side B, then from client type selection choose CallManager, Click Next,
    Now enter your logical controller id and click Add. enter peripheral name, peripheral id, agent extension length.
    Service: , User ID : < Application User Name>  , Password < Password for Application User Name> and click OK and then Next.
    Your CUCM PG will now be UP & Active.
    For CTI Route Point to get registered.
    Make sure it is associated with CCMPGUSER (application user) and configure Dialed Number/Script Selector by the CTI Route Point Number. Your CTI Route Point will get registered now.

  • Making changes to web access phone setting CUCM 8.6.2

    I have a question on a change I need to make on our Call Manager. We use the Berbee Informacast product for emergency notification. It requires that the Web Access parameter be enabled on the individual phones in order to send audio broadcasts. I have learned that after a certain version of CUCM (8.6 perhaps) this setting was set to disable by default on the Enterprise Phone Configuration section on CUCM. We have had this version running about a year now and many many phones have been installed since then. These phones have the web access disabled I believe because of this being disabled on the server settings side. My question is this...
    Would it be better to go into System > Enterprise Phone Configuration>Web Access setting and set to enable
    or
    Do a bulk edit on all phones to enable, reset phones.
    What I am not sure about also is if I change on the system side if it will automatically update and reset phones.
    Just not clear on the right path to take on this...
    Any ideas?

    Thanks for the great info. This is what I did.
    Changed web access to enabled in Enterprise Phone Configuration. Clicked Ok, manually rebooted a couple of phones with no web access. Still didn't work.
    Changed web access to enabled in Device>Device Settings>Common Phone Profile>Standard Common Phone Profile. Clicked Save and rebooted the same two phones. Worked great.
    Ran job scheduler to reboot all phones (1600 of them) and all seems to be good now.

  • CUCM 8.6.1.2000 - Call History not logging, and no ring tone access.

    A little background:
    Recently, I setup a UCS C-210 M2 with CUCM 8.6.1 and restored our Pub and Sub to it. Also migrated to from physical Unity to Virtual CUC, same with Presence.
    I've also setup a 2nd CUCM Sub, as well as new CUC and CUP subs on a second UCS C210. I also upgraded CUP to 8.6.4. before adding the Sub CUP node.
    I'm thinking my problems began when I added the 2nd Subscriber CUCM node on our 2nd C210. Here is a description of what's going on.
    -  I cannot change ring tones on an IP phone. I get "Ring List Unavailable" when I try to change a ring tone. I noticed that my phone had changed over to the CTU ring tone around the time I brought up the VM environment. The CTU ring tone was a custom one I had loaded at one time.
    - I cannot access any call history on my IP phone. My Jabber client logs call history just fine.
    Seems to be a TFTP issue, but I restarted the Cisco TFTP service yesterday, and it did not help. I also reset the Device Pool, which didn't seem to do anything.
    Also, I'm still a bit unclear on which services I should be running on my new Subscriber node.

    I had this issue and resolved it. The problem was that we had changed DHCP servers over to a different platform and the new DHCP server didn't have Option 66 defined to point the phones to a TFTP server. Once we re-specified the TFTP server IP's for option 66 in DHCP and reboot the phones the issue was resolved.

  • CUCM DB access

    Trying to get access to the CUCM database (we have version 10.5) to be able to run custom reports.
    We currently have a linked server in SQL Management Studio for UCCX with an Informix ODBC driver set up as a system DSN... Is there a similar way of doing this but with CUCM?
    Unable to find anything online
    Help would be appreciated

    No, we only provide AXL or run sql from CLI

  • Accessing performance counters in CUCM version 6 and above

                       I do know that the older versions of CUCM allows access to windows performance counters using perfmon as explained in this doc

    However in the later versions of CUCM which runs on Linux OS, is there any way that these counters are made available apart from the RTMT?
    I  have included monitors for CUCM using SNMP, however certain error conditions such as DB replication etc are not available using SNMP. What is the best way I can capture these parameters if I dont have the RTMT?

  • Cant access serviceability from one CUCM server to the next

    If I log into my pub and serviceability, I try to access my other subs. I keep getting an error when trying to access the other servers from the drop down list. Although, everything is replicating throughout the cluster, I can log into another CUCM and only use serviceability for that one server also.
    Im going to do a reset tonight on the cluster. the logs are clean and clear on RTMT on all servers. It's very odd. I thought maybe a security password would be wrong, but there are no errors anywhere on any server in the cluster.

    Cisco Unified Serviceability pages Tools -> Service Activation or Control Center Feature or Network Services can not connect to other nodes in the cluster.When another node is selected the Status indicates Connection to the Server cannot be established (Unknown Error)
    Conditions:
    CCMService Tomcat logs indicates the following error message when attempting to connect to other nodes in the cluster,

    Workaround:
    We have the following workarounds
    - Accessing SUB serviceability pages directly
    - Restarting tomcat on PUB ( once ) after the upgradeFor SNMP configuration where same Community string needs to be added or modified on all nodes, again using a Subscriber node instead of the Publisher also seems to work in this case.

    I have re-started cucm sub/pub on esxi host 5.0 and now i'm anable to access web GUI and can't ping to server IP.
    can access the console on vmware ping between two server work fine.

    This is the response from TAC.
    Sometime i'm able to ping and can access but suddenly stop connectivity. there is a unity server on same host it has connectivity all the time.
    below comment from cisco tac.
    Ping to SUB was failing.
    Logged in to VSphere Client, did not see any error/events for the server.
    “utils diagnose test” and “show network eth0 detail” did not give any errors.
    Able to ping the PUB, NTP and the default gateway from the SUB.
    SUB is reachable from the PUB as well with DB replication in a state of 2.
    By this time SUB was reachable as well.
    Pulled Syslog to check for any errors and we did not see any.
    No issues on the SUB.

  • Access Denied: CUCM Licensing Bulk Capabilities Assignment for CUPS

    I am building a CUPS 8.5 server. On CUCM 8.5 Administration System->Licensing->Capabilities Assignment->Bulk Assignment is giving me an error.
    Access to the requested resource has been denied.
    The attempted action was a violation of security protocols and will not be allowed. Please try another action.
    I noticed that the Bulk Assignment button is crossed out with a red sign.
    I can assign CUP/CUPS by clicking on the users individually.
    Any ideas why this might be happenning?

    While Bulk Assignment doesn't work in the GUI, it is still possible to do Capabilities Assignment in CUCM 8.5 using the Bulk Administration Tool.  Format the comma-separated file according to the instructions in the View Sample File link in Bulk Administration -> CUPS -> Update CUPS/CUPC Users:
