Accessing discoverer viewer over internet

URL's host name is changed when i am clicking to expand report link for work sheet selection. I have installed Oracle 10g AS and discoverer and trying to access work sheets over internet using discoverer viewer.

Hello Michael,
Thank you for your response. I did not changed fully qualified domain name. I am trying to access the discoverer viewer from outside of our LAN through internet. I have configured firewall to allow HTTP trafic to exposed server and mapped public IP and port to local discoverer server (port forwarding) to route discoverer viewer requests to discoverer server. Discover server is in our local domain with local IP address. I am able to view the viewer login and Worksheet list page with public IP in discoverer URL. When i am clicking to expand worksheet in worksheet list page, viewer changes the IP address part of URL to local host name. This local host name is not resolved outside and IE shows the 'Page Not Found' error. Pl suggest the way to resolve this issue.
Thanks,

  • Accessing Discoverer Viewer on a PDA

    Hi,
Could anyone tellme if it would be possible to access discoverer viewer on a PDA running windows mobile 2003?
We have a Portal running the discoverer portlets and when I click "Analyze" link the discoverer viewer errors with a java null pointer.
    Has anyone tried this?
Also, I assume that I may need a JVM on the PDA?
    Thanks
    Joel.

Again, there is no way to do such thing. It is mainly because MIDP target a large range of mobile products which not necessarily have those address book or other databases.

But when I select an attachment row of an object and select More -> Get Shortcut option. Then I paste this link in browser, I am getting the below error
Error Code: 403 Forbidden. The server denied the specified Uniform Resource Locator (URL). Contact the server administrator. (12202)
The same attachment link is working fine in intranet. Are there any steps to be done for file manager?

  • Access SharePoint service over internet

    Hi,
I have a SharePoint service hosted on a on-premise server. Server is internet facing.
The service (<a href="https:///_vti_bin/Service/TestService.svc)">https://<SharePointServer>/_vti_bin/Service/TestService.svc) is accessible over the internet. I can see the service details when I click on the service url.
I want to consume the service over internet (from CRM 2013 Online). I am not able to connect to the service. Please let me know how to create service proxy and invoke the methods. I am OK with hardcoding username and password while creating service proxy.
Also, is there any settings that I have to enable so that the service is accessible over internet?
    Appreciate your help.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
According to your description, you might want to consume the custom web service outside SharePoint.
You can take a look at the link below about how to consume web service for a quick start, the code demo provided in it would be helpful:

  • Wake for network access not reliable over internet...

I've been going through major issues ever since I started tinkering with "Wake for network access" In a nutshell, when I was using my AirPort extreme with 7.4.2 and "Wake for network access" turned on someone or something kept on waking my Mac Mini via VNC. I know strange. So to combat this I back rev'd the AirPort to 7.4.1. This prevents the perpetrator from waking my Mac Mini, but now when I don't wake the Mini after a prolonged period of time it ceases to wake over the internet. If I wake the Mini manually and then let it sleep and then proceed to wake it over the net a few minutes later it wakes just fine ie using a WOL app on my iPhone. Also, it always wakes just fine on my LAN. I'm getting so tired of trying to troubleshoot my WOL issues. Any ideas?

The remote app can either automatically find libraries available on a network (with home sharing available) or if you haven't got home sharing enabled, you can manually pair an itunes library with the remote app (using a number that is generated by the app and then typed into the itunes library).
That is why I am so confused, as it seems to be the home sharing that is the problem!

  • Access Time Capsule over internet

Is it possible to connect your time capsule to be a shared drive over the internet so u can access files etc. stored on it? I know its possible but im yet to come across instructions for time capsule's also being used as the router?

Yes. The easiest way to do this involves using a MobileMe account. You'd then use the MobileMe tab in the Advanced panel of AirPort Utility to enter the MobileMe sign-on information and sign the "remote" Mac into that MobileMe account using the "Back to My Mac" tab of the MobileMe panel of System Preferences.

  • Access time capsule over internet using a Domain name

    Hi
I would like to know if there is a possibility to access my time capsule over the internet by my domain name on GoDaddy??

I found too  many tutorials on the internet but unfortunately it is for TC 2nd generation, my TC is 3rd.
    Regards,
A tutorial for any generation is equally valid.
It doesn't matter what URL you use as long as the computer translates it to the IP address of the WAN of your router.. which then forwards port 548 to the TC.. or if the TC is the main router, then you tick the WAN access and set the network password for the hard disk in the TC.

  • How To Access Time Capsule Over Internet?

Can't seem to figure out how to access the Time Capsule drive over the internet. As far as I know it is all set up. But I have no clue how to access it when I am on the road. Do I do this through Mobile Me?

  • Accessing External Drive Over Internet

I have an Airport Extreme Base Station and have recently purchased a 1TB external hard drive which I have connected to it by USB. I can access the added disk fine when using my home nework.
I also have a MobileMe account so I would also like to access the drive from anywhere with an internet connection. However, despite it being a documented feature of the base station, I can't actually find any clear instructions or a step by step guide to doing so. Does it mean turning on the 'Back To My Mac' feature? What else needs to be configured?
Any help would be much apprreciated.

    Thanks for your reply.
I followed your instructions but I although I can see the drive as shared in the Finder (http://idisk.me.com/brogan/Public/Pictures/Skitch/Applications-20100910-092842.p ng), I am unable to connect to it.
When trying to connect, I get the following:

I notice that the following is also displayed in my 'Back To My Mac' tab under MobileMe preferences.

  • Access Time Capsule over internet with Windows??

Is this possible? I have a MobileMe account, and if required a dynamic dns hostname.
My Time Capsule is behind a router. What firewall settings do I need to allow?
    Thanks

I'd suggest going over to http://www.dyndns.org and pick up a dynamic DNS. that will allow you to access your Timecapsule even if your ip address changes.
typically Windows wont work with afp:// addresses (which is appleshare) Windows natively uses SMB:// (samba/windows filesharing) you should be able to set up the smb sharing using timecapsule.
Looking at the time capsule setup, it looks like smb:// is automatically supported so you should type
    smb://TCexternal_IPaddress
    instead of afp://

  • RMI protocol over JRMP transport error when accessing Discoverer Plus

    Hi,
I just upgraded my Discoverer to 9.0.2.54.01. I can successfully access my Discoverer Viewer Workbooks but not my Discoverer Plus. When I try to access Plus, Applet will be started, and then it will prompt the RMI protocol error:
Attempt 1.  RMI protocol over JRMP transport: Connection refused to host: 127.0.0.1; nested exception is:*
    java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect*
Attempt 2.  RMI protocol over http transport : Unable to attach to existing session.*
    I used browsers Mozilla3.0.5 and IE7.
    Thanks!

    Hi Andy
It could be a Java incompatibility issue. On one of your client machines try removing Java altogether and then reconnecting to Discoverer Plus. The server should send down a new, clean version of the Java.
Try this and let me know how you get on
    Best wishes

  • WVC80N - Internet Gateway UPnP discovery failure message \ unable to view over the internet

I have the WVC80N.  I recently got the new Comcast modem \ wifi but the Wifi is junk and had a lot of problems (loss connection, range etc) so I had Comcast "bridge" it so I just use my old wifi (LinkSys E1200).   I have TZO to handle remote viewing.  Everything was working great for about two weeks and we had a power outage.  Since then, I have been getting UPnP discovery message (in the status tab of the WVC80N camera site) and I am unable to view over the internet.  I get a 502 error usually but today I got extra info: "The socket connection to www.dfgehring.mylinksyscam.com failed.
ErrorCode: 10060.  A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond."
I had Comcast do a "repair / reset" transmission to the modem and still get the problem.
I found these step on the forum:
      1. Home Wirless Rounter administration page, find the UnPn settings and Turn off UnPn and save it. Wait for atleast 30 sec  and go the same page and Turn it back on.
      2. On your wireless camera Adminstraion page, go to "Options" and find the UnPn if it is already disabled go ahead and "enable" it also "enable" the "Alternate web connection" and save it. If it was already enable please disable it save the settings and enable back on.
The above 2 steps resolved my issue and I could able to view my camera from outside of my home network.
Still no luck.  Tried it several times.
Could the power outage reset something on the modem or router to change this?
    Thanks
    Darren

That's what I thought. The power outage may have set the modem, router or camera settings back to factory defaults causing it to loose connection. First thing first, call comcast and check if the modem is still on bridge mode. The modem may have been set back to a modem/router mode due to power outage.
You may test if the remote access is properly set up in the network by going to http://ping.eu. In that site, you will see your internet ip address, take note of that. Click on port check, enter your internet ip address and the port number you used in the alternate web access port then click Go. If it says closed, there something wrong in the settings of either the router or camera. In that case, I suggest you reset the router and camera and then reconfigure them.
I found these articles online which could help you reconfigure your router and camera settings:
How to set up your router
How to set up router wireless setting
    Connecting camera to wireless network
How to set up remote access on linksys camera
How to set up TZO on the linksys camera
    Hope these helps.
