Accessing documents via iCloud?

How do you access your documents on the iCloud? I have it marked to save my documents to the iCloud from my Mac via settings but having trouble confirming if it's saved?

Are they iWork files ?
Go to www.icloud.com.
Sign in with your appleid and see under iWork if your files are there.

  • Accessing documents from icloud

I am unable to access documents on iCloud Drive on my Macbook Pro.  Late last week I used the iCloud drive to access and manage documents without a problem.  Now the folders are on the drive but the files are not available to open.  What am I missing.

Try logging out of iCloud and back in.
You could also go to icloud.com, sign in and see if you can get to the docs through the web version of your app (Pages or whatever).

  • I can no longer access documents in iCloud from my Mac running Mavericks

I entered into the Yosemite public beta program. After running the installation, I decided to go back to Mavericks. I used my Time Machine Backup to restore my Mavericks installation. All is well again except one thing, I cannot access any pre-Beta documents in my iCloud. I can't see anything in the folders: in Numbers, Pages, or via iCloud.com. I also can't reset iCloud via iCloud.com. I can access some of my documents via Numbers on my iPad, but they have issues like missing fonts.
If I officially leave the Yosemite Public Beta (via the leave webpage) will it restore my iCloud documents access? Or am I stuck until Yosemite and iOS 8.0 are released?
I would expect some bugs and speedbumps in a beta, but every page I viewed before trying it stated I could go back to Mavericks using my Time Machine backup, which I did. Had I known I shouldn't enter my icloud info when installing the beta when it asked, I wouldn't have. I'm assuming the files are still there, I just can't see them because I was upgraded to iCloud drive as part of the beta. I may try installing Yosemite Beta in Parallels just to see if I can recover my documents that way.
    Anyone else experiencing this?

You might try to see if you can restore your iWork documents from an earlier point in time by using Time Machine.  To do this, Open Finder and navigate to “~/Library/Mobile Documents/com~apple~Pages/Documents” (without the quotes) from the Go>Go to Folder menu.  Then launch Time Machine, go back in time until you see your pages documents, then select them, click Restore and exit Time Machine.  Then repeat this from "~/Library/Mobile Documents/com~apple~Numbers/Documents" to restore your Number documents.

I think you have to enter your account infos into the Air Port Config app. under "Go to my Mac" and also put the hook in iCloud preferences in Sys Preferences.

  • Sync Pages documents via iCloud from and back to iPad/MacBookPro

Having just updated to Lion on my MacBook Pro and got an iPad2 with iOS 5 I have now managed to get some of my Pages documents from MBP to iPad by uploading them to the www.icloud.com site.
I've made some changes to the documents on my iPad2.  These changes show on the www.icloud.com page. But my question is how do the changes sync back to the original document on my MBP?  Do I have to download them fom the www.icloud.com page?  I thought they were supposed to just sync automatically.  I tried downloading one of the changed docs to my MBP but it doesn't update the original but creates a new one (I think?!)
    Help, I'm confused now !

Documents in iCloud.com don't sync to your MPB. They only sync between iOS devices.  As you suggest, you have to download the document from iCloud.com to your MBP and re-upload if you make changes.
Messy, but that's the way it is at the momnet.

  • Can iOS 4.x iDevices access Documents in iCloud?

My school issued me an iPad 2 with iOS 4.3.3 and won't let me update to iOS 5. My Mac and iPhone 4 are up-to-date with Mac OS X 10.7.2 and iOS 5 respectively. Is there any way to access documents in the cloud (in my case, papers and other items for school) from a pre-iOS 5 enabled device?

Thanks, Ben. That's what I figured.
Belive me, I've been pestering them about upgrading to iOS 5 (as well as every other security update pushed out by Apple) since they first issued the iPads to us a few months ago. They've told me that they're trying to implement device management software that will allow them to manage all the iPads and iPod touches they've issued to students and faculty while giving us users more freedom and flexibility to manage updates and upgrades to iOS and apps ourselves, but the expense of the software package and red tape of the university's parent organization are delaying it.
I'll keep requesting permission to upgrade mine, as I'm sure I'm the only person requesting to do so anyway.

  • How to I access documents in icloud drive from my iPad

I set up an icloud drive on my PC and stored my document.  i have icloud set up on my iPad and iPhone.  I can seem to figure out how to access those documents from the iPad or iPhone.  I thought there might be an icloud app for access, but no.
    Any help out there?

Sorry, I do not think rereading is any good. The fact is: I do not see what I "should" see.
I have checked that both on IOS and Mac I use the same icloud account, both have iCloud Drive enabled. On the Mac I have e.g. a custom folder "History"
On IOS, in Documents 5 by Readdle, after tapping icloud in the sidebar and then the iCloud Drive text, I see this: (in list view, alphabetically arranged):
So, my "History" folder does not show up at the "H" and not at the end.
I thinks there is still a fair bit of iCloud related "should's" that do not materialize in practice.
For example, this same History folder is 1.11 GB in size, and when I added it a few months ago, not all files were synchronized (I checked after a week!).
You never get a positive signal that all files have been uploaded. Thus far, iCloud leaves me with that same shaky iDisk feeling of 2007!

  • How can I access documents from iCloud on my iPad.

how can I download docs from icloud drive on my iPad and edit them on ipad.

    Hello Kalsulkar,
To use iCloud Drive and to work with documents, you will need the corresponding Pages, Keynote and Numbers iOS apps or third party iOS apps that support iCloud Drive to interact with those documents. To access the content, you would need to open one of those apps to see all the documents that are available to you for that specific app. Take a look at the article below for more information.

  • Can't access documents on iCloud /message from iCloud Drive

Does anyone have the same problem, I have not updated to iCloud Drive when asked, since Yosemite it is not available yet for everyone, and since we will not being able to open documents from prior systems (iOS7 or Mavericks). My iPhone has iOS 8, and my Mac Mavericks, if I use Numbers or Pages from the computer then it works, but if I try to open it from iCloud Apps instead, it shows me a message warning about this condition of iCloud Drive, so I chose NO, but instead of open the files, it goes to the home manu on iCloud, so no access allowed to the files stored on the iCloud apps from there. Any suggestion on this, I need to open a file from my other account not set up on this computer, before I used to use iCloud over the web, to access them....

iCloud does'nt store ALL of your photos, only 1000 max and it only has those that have been taken by a mobile device that's signed into your iCloud account and has Photo Stream activated or the those in your library if you have Photo Stream activated and set to automatically upload all new photos imported into your library (3rd checkbox).
However, there is a 1000 photo limit and they will be purged every 30 days.
I suggest you go into iPhoto's Accounts section and delete your iCloud account and log out of iCloud in the System/iCloud preference pane.  Then log back in and go back to iPhoto and add the iCloud account back.

  • How do I access documents in iCloud.

I can't find an iCloud icon & iCloud.com doesn't work? It tells me to set up iCloud but I already did that.

You can't access iCloud.com from an iOS device. To access data, use the appropriate app, like contacts, calendar, etc.
There is no iCloud icon. Are you trying to access a general storage area to move files to, like Dropbox or the now terminated iDisk?  iCloud doesn't off such a feature.
What kinds of files are you trying to access on iCloud.

How do I share a pages document from my laptop so I can work on it on my ipad?  I have icloud enabled on both systems, pages is installed on both systems, but I don't see how I can send or share a document unless it's through iwork.

The desktop/Mac OS X versions of the iWork apps have not been updated to take advantage of iCloud yet. In the meantime you can go to iCloud.com, sign in & click the iWork icon where you can upload & download files. You could also try e-mail or Dropbox.
