Accessing I-web on a second computer

I built my web site on iWeb on my Powermac G-5. I also have a MacBook and would like to be able to access the site via I-web from it so I can make changes when on the road. Is this possible?
Thanks, Bhava

It's a recurring topic.

  • I am trying to access my iTunes on a second computer, which apparently requires iCloud.  After downloading iCloud, I get an error message that says my iTunes ID is correct but that it will not work for iCloud.  Help!

When I try to access my iTunes from my second computer, I'm told I need to download iCloud.  I did that, and when I sign in to iCloud, and enter my iTunes ID and password as directed, I receive a message saying that it is my correct iTunes ID, but that it is not the ID for iCloud.  What do I need to do to access my music from iTunes on my second computer?

Click here and follow the instructions.

  • Accessing a library from a second computer (not simultanously)

With Aperture 1.5, I used to be able to access a library in computer A from computer B through our Ethernet network.
Now, when I try with Aperture 2, I get the following message: "Aperture cannot access this library. To use this library, make sure it is on local disk and file permissions are set correctly."
    Did I miss something?

When you're dealing with data integrity, it's not really about how long you can push your luck. It's more about what the potential is for a complete disaster. Rarely, amongst databases, SQLite (which is what Aperture uses) has *no recovery code* built into it - I know because I use it too. If you lose a single byte's worth of integrity, you are completely and utterly dead. Restore from a backup, if you have one. On a local disk, this is taken care of by flushing disk-writes all the way through to the disk platters. That's not available over a network filesystem.
With that in mind, I can easily see the argument going along the lines of "disk is cheap, losing a photographer's entire library through no fault of ours is a disaster, let's turn off the network option".
As a bonus side-effect, it'd stop people trying to share access to a single library at the same time (I know that's not what you were doing, but I'm sure others have tried). That would screw up a library PDQ - CoreData (which, given the schema, seems to be what Aperture uses) doesn't support that at all.
From the text of that dialogue (the inclusion of the 'local' word), it seems clear to me that networked access to libraries is no longer supported.

  • Accessing existing iWeb site via second computer

My iWeb / Mobile me/ website was created and is maintained on my Macbook but I need to now update it from my office iMac machine.
I can find no menu option or path that allows me to access my site from the iWeb application on the iMac - how is this done?

  • CC wont work on second computer

I have a paid year long CC subscription im trying to access the programs on a second computer. How can i get around registering it with a serial number as CC should not require one ?

You have one activation left, so it should not be asking for serial number.
The CC does not needs any serial number, it is based on Adobe ID.
In case you are being asked for serial number then you can refer to.
Creative Cloud applications ask for serial number

  • HT1589 I moved my media to an external drive so that I can access it from either of 2 computers. I can't seem to get my whole list in the library of the second computer. How do I get this reconnected?

I moved my itu nes media to an external drive so that I can access it from either of 2 computers. Now I can't see all my music in the library of the second computer. I was able to add 1 file to the library, but that will be exceedingly tedious to do for the whole list. There must be a better way.

File Add Folder to Library, and point it to the top folder on the external.  That will cause iTunes to add all the files to the library.

Can I install the Dreamweaver portion only of CS6 Design and Web Premium on 1 computer and the remaining components on a second computer?

Yes, you can, as long as you don't exceed your 2 activations.

A possible cause is security software (firewall,anti-virus) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

  • Can't access music on second computer, wants password, but no luck

i loaded my itunes library into my laptop. however, the system says that i must authorize use on this second computer. when i type in password, etc. it gets into a loop, repeatedly asking me for password, i change it and it still doesn't work

  • Is there a way to access the web-based setup for my router if I cannot access the internet?

Okay, I need to change the ip address settings on my router. I have a WRT54G Wireless router. I cannot access the internet on my computer connected to the router, and do not know how to change the router settings without accessing the web-based setup page. So, back to my question. Is there a way to access this page if I cannot connect to the internet?

On the back of the router is a small reset switch. Using a paper clip or other small item, press the switch in and hold it for a few seconds. This will reset the router to the default IP address of 192.168.1.1. Enter that address in your web browser, and be sure your computer is attached to the router by an Ethernet cable. Don't attempt to do this using the wireless connection.
Once you have reached the web configuration utility you can change the DHCP settings.
To give your PC a static IP address you will need to open your network connections panel and, assuming your using Windows XP, make the changes from dynamic IP to static there.

  • Purchased export pdf.. can it be installed on second computer? should i pay again?

IF I PURCHASED THE ADOBE PDF FILE EXPORTER, CAN I USE IT ON SECOND COMPUTER?
OR SHOULD I PAY FEE AGAIN?

    Good day,
Once you have a subscription to ExportPDF, you may access it on any computer since it's a web-based service.  It's important to note though that a single subscription to the ExportPDF service is for one individual to use.
