Accessing iPhone Music
Greetings all...
I recently had a rather unfortunate hard drive crash of my Macbook Pro (currently in repair at Apple). Most of my data was backed up...however, there are several sets of photos and some recently purchased music that I did not have backed up. Fortunately, these photos and music are currently on my iPhone...does anyone know how I can get these off of my iPhone and on to my new hard drive whenever my computer returns? Any software to grab songs/photos off of the iPhone? Thanks!

The photos will transfer back to the computer using iphoto or Image Capture when you get the computer back.
As For the music you will want to go to this site and request to download the music again. Just need to explain that your system crashed shortly after purchasing the music. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and fill out the form.

Restored it from a backup and now there's no music on it. In the music tab it iTunes says: Thomas iPhone has access to music on iCloud. Songs can be fetched via WIFI or a mobile network. The pnly thing I can chose to sync are voice memos.
What can I do?If you want all the songs from an artist on your phone you can to to the artist view, tap on the artist, scroll to the bottom of the list and you will see a Download All button. This works for playlists and albums too (scroll to the bottom and tap the Download All button). I suppose if you wanted all your music on your phone you could create a smart playlist in iTunes on your computer that would contain all your music, upload it to iTunes match (Store>Update iTunes Match), and then you would get a Download All button at the bottom of this playlist on your phone to download all your songs.

I have subscribed to iTunes Match and have employed it to listen to music on my Macbook Air and iMac. On these devices it seems to operate by streaming music to the device rather than deleting the device's current iTunes library and downloading songs as they are played from iTunes Match. Not so on the iPhone as far as I can tell. Consequently, to date I have not activated iTunes Match on my iPhone 4S. I presently have 40-50GB's of music on my iPhone, sync'd from my iTunes music library on my Macbook Air. I am concerned that if I enable iTunes Match on my iPhone I will lose the music library already on my iPhone, as Apple seems to be representing that once iTunes Match is enabled on the iPhone the current music library, carefully compiled, will be gone from the iPhone forever (unless I later re-sync it from the iTunes library on my laptop), that it will be deleted. Although this would free up a lot of space on my iPhone, I bought the 64GB phone just so that I could keep a lot of music on it and accessible at all times. I am concerned that in certain instances, say if I am in the subway and want to listen to music on my iPhone but don't have internet access below ground, that I won't have much music to listen to, only those songs previously played and thus downloaded onto the phone from iMatch, presenting me witrh a rather limited choice of music to play instead of the 40-50GB's I now have to choose from. Apple seems to have presented me with the choice of the lesser of 2 evils: i) enable iTunes Match and lose the music library already on the iPhone in exchange for access to iTunes Match and a greater number of songs than I can fit onto the phone (my library exceeds the phone's capacity) when a Cloud connection is available or ii) don't enable iTunes match and limit myself to only those songs, a considerable portion of my library to be sure but not all of it, that I can fit in the phone's storage space, i.e., the 40-50 GB's I have on there now. If I choose the latter course, each time I purchase an album I'll have to delete another album to make room for it on the phone. Apple thus offers me a sort of Hobson's choice, bad all the way around. Do I have this right? The Apple techs I've spoken to don't seem to have a handle on the "deletion" aspect of enabling iTunes Match on the iPhone. Right now, I'm too scared of "losing" my iPhone music library to enable iTunes Match on the iPhone. [Possible work-around, albeit a pain in the ***: I suppose that I can enable iTunes Match on the iPhone and spend the next couple of weeks 24/7 downloading songs from my iTunes Match library back onto the phone to replace at least some of those deleted when Match was enabled, thereby rebuilding a proxy library on the phone itself to play when I'm stuck in a tunnel between Brooklyn and Manhattan while maintaining access to thee larger iTunes Match library, more music than my phone will hold, once we come back into the light and my Cloud connection is restored.] Comments, suggestions will be appreciated. Upgraded my phone to iphone 6 from iphone 4. My iTunes with all my music is on a computer that no longer works and can't access the music. Will iTunes Match allow me to get my music off of my iphone 4 and put it on my iphone 6? Sorry about copying twice, new to this.
Do you have iTunes match? You need a computer to manage an iTunes match library.

I had my iphone stolen a few weeks ago which had quite a lot of music on that I had downloaded from itunes via my phone but had not synced with itunes on my computer.

I just bought a brand new iPhone 5s and a huge problem is that when i try to sync my music to my iPhone 5s, under the music tab it says that i can only access my music via iCloud. is there anyway to sync your music from your computer?????
The ! sign before the song means that the actual song is no longer on your computer and/or iTunes library.

I am very frustrated. I decided to cancel the restoring process and I can't still access my music because is loading iTunes Match.... this has been going on now for weeks, where i ahve turned off the data mobile and stick to wifi.... Nothing seems to work. Any help mroe than appreciate it.

You should ask your relative to physically take the iPhone to the store rather than shipping it because as diesel vdub has said:
"No Apple store will accept an iPhone shipped to them"
All you have to do is safely pack and ship your iPhone from the Philppines to your California-based relative.

Does anyone know how to disable the Apple ID sign in request when accessing the music files on the Iphone 5C? It is extremely annoying as I rarely access ITunes store on my phone.
Sign out of your Apple ID:
Settings > iTunes & App Store > Apple ID, then click sign out. -

These messages occur if permissions are incorrect on your designated music folder or on a folder inside your designated music folder. Permissions are settings that determine who can read, write to, or execute a file or folder on your computer. Every file and folder on your hard disk has an associated set of permissions.

How do I access content that has been backed up to iCloud? I no longer have an iphone, but I want to access the music/pictures I've stored to the cloud. When I logged in to iCloud, there was no tab or option to view content. Please help.
Without an iPhone or iPod Touch to restore the backup to, you cannot access the camera roll photos stored in the iCloud backup. Signing into the account on your computer and enabling photo stream will only allow you to access photo stream photos from the last 30 days, and any shared stream you were subscribed to.

Cannot access matched music on iPhone- "not subscribed"
After setting up iTunes match on my mac, and going through the (3 day) successful matching process, I cannot access my music on my iPhone. Both devices are running the latest software version. When I activate the "iTunes Match" functionality on my iPhone, I get a message saying that I need to subscibe, even though I've already subscibed via iTunes on my mac. My computer is authorized in iTunes and everying is associated with my iCloud (old MobileMe) account. Does anybody have any suggestions?
That's normal (that the music is grayed out). Click the EYEfone icon, then the Summary tab (along the top) - if you want to manually manage music, check the box. Else, click the Music tab (along the top, not in the list on the left), then select the box to sync music, and select playlists or All music, then click Sync.

I just joined apple itunes match and I want to know if I can access my music on my wife's iPhone if she uses a different ID and password . If so how can I do this?
You would have to sign in with your account. Be aware that an iDevice or Mac or PC can only be associated with a particular iCloud/ iTunes in the Cloud account once every 90 days. So if you associate your iTunes in the cloud/Match account with her iPhone ,she will have to wait 90 days before going back to HER itunes in the cloud account.

Songs appear to be missing
Songs containing DRM (Digital Rights Management) might not appear in iCloud, or might appear grayed out. This can occur if your computer is not authorized to play that content. Try authorizing your computer, then manually update iTunes Match. To determine what Apple ID your computer needs to be authorized for to play a specific song:
Locate and select the song in your iTunes library.
Choose File > Get Info.
In the Summary tab, locate the Account Name field in the right column. Write it down.
Click OK.
Choose Store > Authorize this Computer.
Type in the account name from the Summary field and enter its password. Click Authorize.
Choose Store > Update iTunes Match.
