Accessing iPhone notes from Macbook

Hi,
So my screen is broken on my iPhone 5 and wont respond to touch (phone itself still works though). Is there anyway I can get my notes from my phone to my Macbook via plugging the phone into the computer? I didn't set up iCloud on my iPhone so I dont think i'll be able to do it that way.

You can use an app like PhoneView (http://www.ecamm.com/mac/phoneview) or DiskAid (http://www.digidna.net/diskaid) to copy the notes from your phone.
There may be a free app out there that does something similar, but i dont know of any.

OK...
I'd like to access the notes in my iPhone's Notes App from my Macbook...I thought with ML I would at last be able to do that... alas it seems not.
Currently the notes I have on my iPhone are in a specific account within Notes known as "On My iPhone". This "On My iPhone" account does not show up in the new Notes App on my Mac...even though it presumably syncs in the back-up to iTunes.
Does anyone know how can I easily shift these Notes from the "On My iPhone" account to the "iCloud" account?
I am aware they can be copied, one by one to the iCloud Notes account...but I'm after a clever solution...I have well over a hundred of these things...and I'd also quite like to keep the notes' original properties, like their date.

Ah well, a few reasons maybe...
I kinda stopped using the Mail app a while back mainly because I found that draft emails were not being synced back up to Gmail reliably..
I started using Mail again when it integrated Notes...and I started to use mobileme account for notes at that time too...
But then I had a few negative/frustrating experiences where edits I made to notes via the phone were lost, either due to a poor network connection or a syncing snafu with mobileme (which incidentally wasn't as rare as one might have expected).
I decided after that to go back to the safety of editing notes and storing them locally on the phone.
So, that's the background.
Do you think there will be a clever way to address the situation or is it a lost cause?

Once you have a proven, working Charger... Charge the Device for a couple of hours. Then try to turn it on.
If no joy...
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
Release the Buttons...
If the issue persists...
Then a Visit to an Apple Store or AASP (Authorized Apple Service Provider) is the Next Step...
Be sure to make an appointment first...

HT201335 AirPlay Mirroring is working from iPad and iPhone, but not from Macbook Pro. How to fix?

I can see and activate AirPlay Mirroring from Macbook but nothing displays on the TV when mirroring is activated (screen changes from Apple TV menu to blank screen only). I have 3rd generation Apple TV and a brand new Macbook Pro, so AirPlay Mirroring is supported by both devices. I can display video content on the TV from my MacBook from iTunes by selecting to display on Apple TV instead of my computer, but it does not work for mirroring.
For reference, when I activate AirPlay Mirroring from iPad or iPhone, it works perfectly and content is displayed on my TV.
Has anyone else had this problem and know how to fix it?

You don't need iPhoto on your mobile devices in order to use Photostream.
It also doesn't make any difference where you purchased iPhoto from to use PhhotoStream on your Mac.
However if you are updating iPhoto on your Mac, it is updated using the Mac app store, which uses it's own ID, which may or may not be the same as the ID you use for iTunes.

Hi everyone, I'm new to MAC's but have had an iphone for a while, so much so I had an iphone 4 but got an iphone 4s, I gave my 4 to my dad, and after recantly buying a MBA tried to imessage the old man but his name turns red and will not allow me to send a message, I can however imessage him from my phone, I have the same issue with two other friends, but I know Imessage works on my MBA as I have two other people it works with (On the side the group Imessage is so cool) we did have an issue with facetime not recognising him untill he switched it off and on from system prefrance on his iphone, not sure if this is related or if this is a MBA issue or iphone issue, but could do with some help as I'm an Apple convert and I'm now hoping to convert the old man who loves microsoft, I told him how 'Apple just work' and at the moment have egg on my face

When sending a message from Mountain Lion's Message program, you should be careful about the recipient's address. When you send a message to your dad, you should send it to his iPhone's phone number.
Also, on your Mac's Messages > Preferences > Accounts, you should be logged in under your Apple ID (which is hopefully different from your dad's).

ITunes 11.0.3 installation failed, iPhone disappears from MacBook Pro

Did the update of iTunes to version 11.0.3 some days ago. When finishing I got the message "an error occured", but the new version of iTunes was installed. Now I've got the problem, that my iPhone 5 is no longer recognized by my MacBook Pro. This means, neither iTunes, iPhoto or any other programm is aware of the iPhone beeing connected. The iPhone just sounds "bling" when being connected and it is charged.
I restarted the Mac and the iPhone. I've fixed the rights. I downloaded the complete iTunes 11.0.3 from Apple-website, but when I installed it again, I've got a similar message (an error occured).
What can I do now?

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you are not able to install the latest version of iTunes, and your iPhone is not recognized in iTunes or iPhoto. I found some articles that can help resolve this issue:

Apps on iPhone not on macbook pro???

iPhone apps are iOS apps. Apps for a Mac are OSX apps. They are separate apps and have to be purchsed throught the iTunes App Store for iOS devices, and the Mac App Store for OSX computers.
When you hook your device up to iTunes on the comuter, you will see your list of iOS applications in the device profile in iTunes, but these are just a backup of the apps you have running on your device. They do not live in or run on the Mac.

Cannot sync notes from MacBook Pro w/Mavericks

I've had no problems sharing Notes info between my MacBook Pro and iCloud until just recently. Now the Notes app on my MacBook Pro will not connect with iCloud. My other devices, iMac, iPhone, and iPad, all communicate with iCloud, but not the MacBook. When I open Notes in the MacBook it says "updating" which goes on seemingly forever without capturing the notes that I know are in iCloud, as verified by going to icloud.com. Also, in Mail, when running the Mail Connection Doctor everything connects ok except for iCloud IMAP, which is what Notes uses. The details posted for the failed connection are

which seems to indicate that a connection to iCloud via imap is, in fact, made, but yet I get the failed connection red dot, and don't get any download of the Notes data stored in iCloud. Driving me nuts. I've tried shutting down Notes, unchecking Notes, restarting the computer in hopes of forcing a connection, all with no luck so far. Driving me nuts.

OK, thanks for that. It may indeed may be the problem, but let's check a couple of things first.
1. On the printer: Setup > Network > Print Network Test. Is the printer connected to the network? If it is not:
a. In the Network menu, Restore Defaults
b. In the same Network menu, run the Wireless Setup Wizard to connect the printer to your network.
2. On your Mac, download and install this: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL907
Restart your Mac.
3. Reset the printing system:
- Go to System Preferences > Print & Scan
- Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - this will delete ALL of your printers!
- Select the plus sign to re-add a printer. Select the Defualt tab on the top of the window. Look for the printer, select it and then next to the "Use" pulldown, select the printer model (not AirPrint). Wait until the "Add" button becomes available. Click it.

Yosemite/iOS 8 - Airplay audio working from iPhone 6 but not from macbook

I have a 2012 macbook pro that I've just upgraded to Yosemite and a new iPhone 6. My airplay setup is a Pioneer VSX-1121 receiver that has built-in airplay. My iPhone can connect via airplay to the receiver and it works perfectly to play all my audio. My laptop however, cannot. When I use option-click to click on the speaker icon in the bar I even see the icon for my receiver there - but when I click on it nothing happens.
In the System Preferences I can't see it in the sound panel though...

I don't have any logs of a successful attempt so I'm not sure what that looks like in Yosemite..any help appreciated.
For the record, I've tried a PRAM and SMC reset to no avail.

THis "fix" maybe for the missing AirPlay icon in iTunes. But it wouldn't hurt to try it for this issue. I had the missing icon, did this and it worked. I also re enabled the IPv6 and it continued to work.
1) open control panel.
2)Choose Network and internet
3)Select the VIEW NETWORK STATUS TASKS under NETWORK and SHARING CENTER section
4) Choose the active network connection. It is usually name " wireless Network Connection 1" or something similiar.
5) Click the properties button
6) If the Internet PROTOCOL VERSION 6(TCP/IPv6) is checked, uncheck it, then click OK.
7) Click CLOSE
8) Restart iTunes and try to use the Home Sharing feature again.
