Accessing iTunes after User ID change?

I've had an iTunes account for some time that was setup with my previous email address as my user ID. Just got a new iPod and when I go to iTunes to download more music it still has my old user ID, for which I don't remember the password. I changed my Apple User ID to my new email address and setup a new password but my iPod is still showing my old iTunes User ID. What to do?

Ray,
On your iPod Touch, head to Settings -> Store and tap the Sign Out button. Then sign back in with your new account credentials.

  • HT4623 Why can't I access itunes after ios7 update?

I can't access itunes after updating to ios7 on an iphone 4s?

This is could be due to the cookie settings update that was made with iOS7.
    Try the following:
    1) Kill the iTunes App (if running in background)
    2) Goto Settings/Safari/Block Cookies
    3) Select 'Never' or 'From Third Parties and advertisers'
    4) Launch iTunes App again
See if that addresses the issue.

  • My 'secure 'connection 'refused' when access iTunes after 8.0.2.20 upgrade

My 'secure' network connection was 'refused' when access iTunes. I can view & navigate the iTunes store AND I can update my Podcasts successfully...BUT I can't sign in/download /purchase, et al.
Triage so far...not neccessarily in this order...
    1) Not using Norton or Macafee - using Verizon Security suite
Checked firewall - itunes is listed a 'safe'
    2) Ran ITunes Dx program - followed the suggestion to check SSL & TLS - checked correctly (log pasted below)
    3) Uninstalled iTunes and then reinstalled - no change
    4) Cleaned out IE files cookies - no change
    5) Renamed the etc/HOST file name - no change
    6) the Apple Help person said that he has no idea and have done what he would have already suggested...

Although a didn't currently have Norton and had thought I had uninstalled it (no longer in my program menu & no residual icons et al...there is the 'Semantic' TOOL that must be used to REALLY remove Norton security remnants that are buried deep in the c-drive program files. This I didn't know about...
So I downloaded the tool from the Norton web page and ran it per their instructions. After rebooting, my 8.0.2.20 iTunes secure connect was fine.
I spent 9+ days trying to get iTunes to work. Norton is the devil company and I will never use that security program again - especially with all the other Norton-specific issues iTunes is having release after release...

  • HT1600 Problems accessing iTunes after update?

    Hi,
Just put my Apple TV through the update last night.  After the update, I can no longer access iTunes related functions like ordering movies or tv episodes nor can I access my Purchased items.  I checked my account info and all is well.  I also tried other apps and all is well there too.  I restarted the device but still have the issue.
    Thoughts?

Try logging out and in to your iTunes store account.

  • After rebooting my Windows Vista 64 bit system, could not access iTunes; after uninstalling I tried reinstalling, but it has been running for more than 24 hrs. Should I cancel installation?

I had been updating my Windows Vista 64 bit system and as a result of a problem, had to reboot my system. Afterwards, I was no longer able to access iTunes.  I got a message stating that there was a problem with some of the files associated with the application.  A phone rep at Apple's Customer Service provided me with emails linking instructions on completely uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes. I did the uninstall, then checked for lingering iTunes files and couldn't completely remove some, but tried intalling the latest version of iTunes. It has been running for roughly 24 hours.  The status bar is green all the way across, and when I try to cancel, I get the following message: "Are you sure you want to cancel iTunes installation?"  I keep hitting "no," but am staring to wonder if there is a problem with the install.  Should it take this long if I have roughly 134 gigs of music?  I can still see the music in my computer's C drive, so I am worried that there is an error, perhpas because I didn't clear out all the lingering C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\ and all the lingering C:\Program Files\iTunes\.  Any thoughts?

It is not just the HP. I have 3 HP computes and 2 Dell computers. 2 of the HP and 1 Dell suffer the iTunes internet block. Took me a while to figure it out also. But, the one thing that is different on the Dell, is that I can leave iTunes installed and not open it and everything works. As soon as I open it, internet access goes down. BUT secure sites (https:) works fine.

  • Cannot access iTunes after failed update.

The last time I accessed iTunes I was notified that an update was available (forget the number or version). I hit "install 1 item" but the download failed for some reason or other. I didn't pay much attention to it at the time. Today, I tried to just get into iTunes to get to my music and got an error mesage:
    System Error  MSVCR80.dll  Missing
    iTunes not installed correctly
    Error 7
    Windows Error 126
    Reinstall iTunes
I tried to restore to pervious versions, didn't work. I tried to download iTunes, didn't work.
I have a shitload of stuff that I have purchased from Apple including music, tv shows, entire seasons that I am still watching and receiving. Now I don't have iTunes. Can anybody help me...please?

    Give this a shot:http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5376
Make sure you follow the instructions to remove all itunes related components and files.
Let us know how it goes.

  • Administrator access after user domain change

    Hi,
my windows user was migrated to other domain. Now I haven`t administrator acces to Analysis service. I can connect by linked server as remote user in old domain, but I see nothing.
Is any chance to get full access or I must reinstall all server with new user?
    Many thanks
    Tomas Adamek

    Hello Tomas,
With a local admin account on the machine where SSAS is running you can add your new Domain account to the security Settings of SSAS.
Start SSMS explicit as admin with right-mouse click => "Run as Administrator", logon to SSAS, open the properties of the Server => Security.

  • External access broke after site name change

We have external access to SharePoint 2013 behind a reverse proxy using an ADFS server for authentication. It was working fine until I changed our site name and now externally it gives a 500 error. The event log says there is a problem with AAMs, but this
is a host-named site collection. The default URL for the site is correct. What am I missing here?

    Hi  Benjamin ,
According to your description, my understanding is that after changed the site collection hosted name of a hose-named site collection  you encountered error
500 when you wanted to access the site collection from external.
For your issue, please refer to the blog for renaming site collections in SharePoint 2013:

  • Can't access iTunes after OS Reload

Hi,  I recently had to reload my Mac OS after replacing the hard drive. I started by installing 10.3.9 and eventually upgraded all the way to 10.4.11. I also did all the software updates. Everything went well except when I tried to launch iTunes the message "The iTunes library cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes". I noticed that the version currently installed is 6.0.4. I suspect that pre-crash I had updated iTunes to a newer version, but I have no way of checking. In any case how can I upgrade ay to 7.0.2 if that is the version I need. So my questions are: How can i tell what version iTunes the library was created on and then how do I upgrade to the correct version? I really only use iTunes to load music onto my iPod and to play music from the iTunes library that I have loaded over the years. I can see the music files in there but I can lauch iTunes to play them. Hope someone can help me on this.

Bingo! That did it! I cannot thank you enough!!! I've been trying to solve this problem for two weeks.
    Mnay many Thanks.

  • Why can't my windows 7 machine access iTunes after trying everything suggested in this support site?

And I mean everything.  Including disabling the security program.  I've spent at least 20 hours on this because I want my ipod songs on a laptop.

With those symptoms, I'd try the following document:
Apple software on Windows: May see performance issues and blank iTunes Store
(If there's a SpeedBit LSP showing up in Autoruns, it's usually best to just uninstall your SpeedBit Video Accelerator.)

  • How to access iTunes after a PC crash

Recently had my PC crash & IT had to 'wipe' it.  Thus, lost all my iTunes stuff in my documents.  I'm scared to just log back into iTunes since I don't know what I'll find.  I'm assuming all is gone.  Is there any way to retreive what I had on there from the last time I logged on; or something similar?
    Thanks!

    I don't know why it's asking for a 3rd disk.
    +it says I can't because I don't have rights on that PC.+
For that, click on the store menu and drop down to Authorize Computer. Then try to play a purchased song. It might ask you to log in with your ituens credentials.

  • The OS is not starting anymore on my Imac after user rights change

Boot process seem to stop on the grey screen (the apple logo one) but still checking something... before that I just create a new account and add this user with W/R rights on the full HD (Macintosh HD information windows). AND I've lost my recovery disk so I cannot use it.
    Anyone got any idea?

Contact AppleCare to get a replacemnt set of discs, the cost is nominal.

    Hi Muthu
No need of exits , this can be done using status profile.
    1>Create status profile using BS02.
    2>give status no 10 as initial & 20 as the next .
3> in lowest & highest for 10 give as lowest 10 & highest 20 . For status 20 give lowest & hightst both as 20.
4> double click on status 10 & click on create & set what all business transactions u want to allow when the status is 10.
5> double click on 20 & tick on the radio button set against the partial confirmation button so that when the order is partially confirmed the status is automatically set to 20. in this status do not allow change prod order business transaction.
This should solve ur problem . Explore more about status profile in spro>production>SFC> order>create status profile documentation.
    Thanks & regards
