Accessing itunes store causes window to shutdown

Since I've downloaded itunes7, whenever I access the store randomly the application shutsdown. I can access the store but I never know when the whole thing will close. I'm not having this problem with any other application and can access my library no problem--it's only with the store. Can anyone help??

Thanks I've tried this however it still is not working, I have tried uninstalling itunes completely and reinstalling it without any luck. The itunes still works, but when I try to get onto the store it still comes up with the error message. I have checked the firewall and it is allowed and I've tried safe mode. Any other ideas?

I used to access the iTune Store from my computer everyday. But since a couple of weeks I started receiving the following (Connecting to the iTune Store) message after clicking on the Store link in iTunes.

It just stays there loading forever.
But I can access the store normally using my iPhone and using other laptops over the same network.
What can the reason be? I am using the latest versions of iTunes and iPhone on Windows 7.
I have tried the iTunes built-in connectivity test and it passed all the tests, I have tried re-installing iTunes, And I have also checked support article (TS1470) and I already have the mentioned options enabled.

With that one, try launching iTunes. Go "Edit > Preferences" and select the "Parental control" tab.
Is "Disable iTunes Store" checked? If so, try unchecking that and clicking OK.
Can you get through to the Store now?

Upgraded to Itunes 10.5 yesterday and have no "text" at all only when I access Itunes Store, using Windows XP

Upgraded to 10.5 Itunes yesterday and have no "text" anywhere except in Itunes store. I do not even see the Toolbar drop menus up top (File, Help, etc.) I cannot make out any music in my library. I wish to upgrade my Ipad to IOS5 but am afraid to sync it because I won't see what I'm doing it. I saw a similar link where Windows may not have a Font and installed all uninstalled fonts to see if that would work, but did not. Do I need to uninstall Itunes and reinstall? I have Windows XP. Really not sure if it's an Apple/Itunes problem or a Windows problem. Haven't had any issues with any other updates.
Any help is appreciated....

So after a month of trying to figure all this out I FINALLY fixed the problem!
Before you do anything just go to your destop > right click personalize (this is for windows 7 - might be different for XP; I honestly forgot, but same idea) > find "window color" > select "advance appearance settings
(I think can be found by just typing "window color and appearance" in the search from the start menu).
Finally select "active title bar" (If the font is SEGOE UI, then following the link is the best thing to do; IF ITS NOT, I would think you can just follow the same steps and modify accordingly to how you want your fonts to look in iTunes). http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-desktop/how-to-change -system-default-font-in-all-parts/dfce15db-7337-420a-a42e-517521a8502e

Accessing Itunes store thru windows Vista parental controls

Hello, This my first time posting a messsage. Lately ITunes 7.5.20 will not let my kids go to ITunes store. It tells me the check my internet connection. Mu connectoion is just fine. I run the diagnostics from the Itunes pulldown menu and it passes as well. If I Turn off the parental controls then it works again. Is anyone else having this issue. Is there a way to fix this?

I have a Windows 7 Computer. When I go into itunes store, it comes up, and I can navigate in it, but a box keeps appearing saying accessing itunes store. I then get a session timed out, so can't purchase anything.

I own a Windows 7 computer. I can get into itunes okay, and I can get into the itunes store okay. After I am in the store, a box keeps appearing that says "Accessing itunes store". I was struggling with this since my latest Itunes update. Fiirst it would not recognize my IPad as a device, after correcting that, it would list the Ipad in my device but my Sync had no options (summry, info, etc). and it kept saying it was "Accessing Itunes store". reading your question I suddently tried deleting the itunes task (alt-ctrl, delete, processes) and delete Itunes. (By the way, I had rebooted my computer several times over the last few days). I opened up Itunes, and voila. Device is there. No "accessing windows" and my sync has the normal options.

i had the same problem before using a fresh install of Windows 8.1. I have resolved this issue by running the program compatibility wizard. This I did by right-clicking on the iTunes icon in the desktop, selecting Troubleshoot compatibility, waited for it to detect compatibility issues and when presented with the following options: 1.) Try recommended settings; 2.) Troubleshoot program, I chose the latter. When asked what problems I noticed, I checked the following: "The program worked in earlier versions of Windows but won't install or run" and "The program requires additional permission"
After that, it tired to resolve the issue, and provided the necessary settings to run iTunes. Now it's running flawlessly. I have Avast anti-virus installed though.

I got a new Windows 7 allienware desktop this week, and I installed iTunes at the first time. I can access iTunes store via the software at the first day I installed, but I can't access iTunes store on my Windows desktop since yesterday. It always says there is a problem and I need to close iTunes when I try to access iTunes store. I tried to uninst all the related files of iTunes and reinstalled, but it still donesn't work. Now I can't download anything via my new desktop. What should I do to fix it?

Looks like we are not alone...... Must be some problem with the software! Hope it can be solved soon!

Accessing iTunes Store - Pop up window

Does anyone know how to fix this annoying pop up window ''Accessing iTunes Store'' that appears every time I open iTunes or access the iTunes Store? Or anyone out there with same problem?
Every time I type a letter in the iTunes store search box, the progress bar appears! Grrr
The Cinematic Orchestra is off the cards at the moment - Maybe some U2 instead.
The problem first began when I installed iTunes 10.2. All previous versions where fine - no problems. I thought this most recent 10.2.1 update was issued to maybe fix this frustrating glitch. No such luck.
I have tried reinstalling, clearing my caches and making sure the Safari 'Block Pop Up Windows' option is activated.

I've fixed mine! From a little help from an apple adviser.
You might want to clear your caches before doing this - under iTunes preferences.
Open iTunes - go to the top bar, click the 'Store' drop down menu >
Then click 'De-authorise this Computer' >
Enter your password etc >
Then click 'Store' again then click 'Re-authorise this Computer'>
Enter password etc>
Restart the Mac>
Open up iTunes should be fine - worked for me anyway

this is what you need to do to exclude everything apart from desktop.
on time machine preferences, click on Options
click plus sign, on the new window, click macintosh HD
do a Control + A then deselect users then click okay
go to options again, plus sign, go to users, control +A then deselect your user account
go to options again, plus sign, go to your user account, control + A, deselect desktop
start the back up.
