Accessing iTunes Store from oversees country...is it possible?

Hi
I am a new user of iPhone 3GS. I live in United Arab Emirates, UAE and I bought the iPhone from a local ISP called "Etisalat"
The probles is that I cant access the iTunes Store from my iPhone and it keeps telling me that iTune Store is not supported in your country !!
Any solution?

As far as I know, the UAE is still in talks with Apple, amazon and Sony to allow residents to download music, books and films. Apparently this is supposed to come out of negotiations between these companies and the TRA (Telecommunications Regulatory Authority) in the UAE. You're just gonna have to wait until the TRA approves such.

You may think you are connected to the internet, but maybe not. Click on Safari and see if it connects.

    Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year. Then see if you can connect to the store.

  • I can not access Itunes Store from my computer. When I run the dianostic I get a red light that says "Secure Link to the Itunes Store Failed".

I can not access Itunes Store from my computer.
When I run the diagnostic tool for network connectivity, my network connects but I get a Red light that says "SECURE LINK TO THE ITUNES STORE FAILED".
Can anyone help me on this problem?

ITunes won't connect all I get is the "accessing iTunes store......". With the bar scrolling but no connection.
With those symptoms, I'd try the following document:
Apple software on Windows: May see performance issues and blank iTunes Store
(If there's a SpeedBit LSP showing up in Autoruns, it's usually best to just uninstall your SpeedBit Video Accelerator.)

Cannot access iTunes Store from iPhone 4. Message says 'Your iTunes password was incorrect. Please try again'. I have tried resetting the password on my macbook. What should I do?

I'm having the same problem as well.  I use keychain access often to remind me of my passwords and was happy (initially) to see one for "iphone backup".  When I entered it I got the same error message:
"The password you entered to unlock your iPhone backup file was incorrect. Please try again."
    Really frustrating.
I searched many ways online, finally I tried "iPhone Backup Unlocker" to help me unlock encrypted backup password efficiently!

    Try this:
    1. Settings>General>Date & Time>Turn off set automatically
    2. Set date one year ahead
    3. Go back to iTunes and try again.
    4. You will get the same error.
    5. Go back to settings general date and time and turn back on 'set automatically'
Try connecting to iTune Store again.

  • How to access ITune store of another country?

I'm in the U.S., but I want to access the iTune store in another country. I'm looking to buy some books in my native language. Is it possible to do so?

Yes, it is possible--if you already have an iTunes account in the second country or you can open one. You usually need a method of payment located in that country such as a bank account or credit card. You usually also have to specify some kind of address in that country. You can then switch back and forth on your iPad between the US account and the other one. It is just a bit awkward, but I do it all the time between my US account and my foreign one.
So if you don't yet have an iTunes account in that other country, opening one would ve your first step.

  • I cannot access itunes store from PC but can from iPad?

    Does anyone have any ideas?
Since upgrading PC to v 11.1.2.31, (and perhaps phone/iPad to ios 7.0.3??), although I can access iTunes I cannot access iTunes Store via my PC to sign in.  I keep getting the message to the effect  "iTunes Store is busy. Please try later".  I can sign in ok on my IPad and iPhone without difficulty.
I have followed all the Apple Support advice, I think.  So far I have reinstalled the software, have checked the Firewall is not blocking iTunes, have rebooted the router several times (in all other respects the Internet is behaving normally), I have cleared the Local and Roaming cache etc.
    Thanks,

If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store, a software conflict or your Internet service provider (ISP) may be blocking your access.
    - Update iTunes and Safari to the latest version.
    - If you have a firewall, your settings may be preventing you from connecting to the iTunes Store. Follow these steps to configure your firewall.
    - You may need to reset your keychain. Connection issues are occasionally caused by keychain issues. Learn how to use Keychain First Aid to resolve any issues with your keychain.
    - If you're receiving a specific error message, follow these steps.
