Accessing old calendar entries

Hi - I am new to the forum - hoping someone can help me. Doing my taxes and I put all of my appointments in my BB and didn't write them down for last year. Does anyone know how to access events that are older on our BB calendar? I see nothing on my calendar for the months of last year... HELP?!

inside the Calendar application, in the options, there is a setup to delete old calendar entries after some time. Please check how many days you have allowed before deletion. Mine is set to "forever".

  • IOS upgrade does it again.  It trashes my old calendar entries

I have come to rely on the feature in the iOS upgrade that it will trash my old calendar entries. Upgrading to iOS 4 was no exception. It changed start and end times, repeat information, adds entries, combined multiple repeating entries into 1 even though they had different start and end dates and information in the entry and does a whole lot of other nifty stuff. I have reported this with every upgrade and now I realize that Apple does not care what happens to someone's calendar. This IPhone is being synch'd with a Mac so its an apples to apples (sorry for the pun) process.
I have a whole lot of issues with the calendar program on the IPhone. This is the one of the most annoying. The other is if you have parents in the 80's and you set birthdays. They do not show up on your IPhone. They show fine on the Mac but I guess the IPhone does not think your parent's birthday's are important enough to display. I am slowly getting to the point of regretting that I converted to the IPhone. For all of the bells and whistles, when a device cannot do the simplest tasks it becomes an annoyance. Oh yes this is a 3G and not a new phone. I do not intend to spend money until I see that Apple starts to take their customers seriously. They are slowly becoming Microsoft and that is the attitude that I thought I was getting away from.

You have options in the Organizer Tab for Calendar by clicking on Configure. From there, there you can choose to sync ALL calendar entries. This should be a resolution. Additionally, there are options to further control what syncs by clicking on the advanced button.
If you want to control how much calendar data remains on your mobile consider...
I have had problems with Blackberry's handling of appts in the past where - when an appt is deemed to be removed from the mobile device - it removed it also from Outlook! This should NEVER be - but WAS. As a result it is a better 'policy' to simply have your BB sync ALL appts and control how much will remain on your phone by using Outlook's archiving feature. When the calendar items do move to your archive, then you will see appts to be deleted from your phone but they will just be "older" appts according to what you have setup.
And regardless - before you do any new sync or major changes that may react unexpectedly...
Make a backup of your Outlook file just in case!!
    Hope this helps.

  • Is it possible to change timezones without changing time of all your old calendar entries?

moved cities and when I use local timezone all my old calendar entries shift 5 hours.  anyway to stop that?

Perhaps I'm reading it wrong, but it tells me to either set it on or off.  If I leave it off, then all my entries from when I was living in NY are five hours off because I live in London now.  If I turn it on and set it to NY, then all my current entries are off.  I need to look back at my calendar (Yahoo) quite a bit, not just for pending appointments.

  • Old calendar entries disappear

I use the calendar on both the iPhone and iCal on Mac OS X and have them synced. This works fine except for one thing. Old calendar entries (over a month ago) are deleted when I sync.
There is an option to do this automatically in iCal on Mac OS (it is disabled) I assume a similar option is enabled on the iPhone and they disappear when I sync because they are deleted from the iPhone version. Any idea how I disable this on the iPhone?

Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but under Mail, contacts, calendar settings and all the way down at the bottom. There you can select how far back you want your calendar to sync.

  • Where do old calendar entries go? They are all gone since i installed icloud...

Where do old calendar entries go? They where always on my ipod. But ever since I installed icloud most of my old entries are gone, except for birthdays and other repeated entries. Is there a way to get these old entries back? Or can you find them somewhere on icloud?

  • My BB Storm is deleting all of my old calendar entries in Outlook! HELP!

I've seen this raised a few times with different handsets, and different email/calendar clients, however, I've yet to find a BB Storm messing around with Outlook 2009. However, am guessing that its a generic BB problem that messes up ALL email/calendar clients!
In short - I've followed the advice on the Vodafone website, to reset the sync settings in the DM, and then set them back up again - DIDN'T WORK.
I've also ensured that on the Handset/Calendar options, that they are set to be kept - FOREVER, makes no difference!
I don't know what to do next. I really, really need to keep all of my old diary entries for client reference and notes etc. I can't have one-way sync, as I often make appointments when out and about, and its CRUCIAL that the handset then updates the laptop the next time they are sync'd, so that both diaries are always showing all information, all of the time, as well as having the full history.
Can I make this work, or should I be resigned to the fact that in all these years, RIM hasn't worked out that business people need to keep records of important stuff like this!?

I am faced with the same issue and reluctant to sync my calendar now.  Any help would be appreciated.

  • My old calendar entries deleted themselves. I lost all  my history. WHY?

This is the second time my prior calendar entries have disappeared. Gone. Everything longer than a month ago.
    Why does this happen?
Is there a way to prevent it?

Make sure that Sync entries older than 30 days is checked in settings.

  • Old calendar entries have disappeared

Hi. I have a dreadful memory so use my calendar rather like a diary, writing entries each day of things that have happened. My calendar has deleted all entries older than around 40 days. Can you please help me restore old entries and stop current ones from being deleted. Many thanks - and best wishes. Sue x

Connect your iPhone to your computer. When iTunes is launched, click your phone's entry under "Devices" then click the "Info" tab. Under "Calendars", uncheck the box next to "Do not sync events older than X days".

  • How do I eliminate old calendar events in my 8703e?

I currently have 913 calendar entries in my 8703e (about 2 years worth).  Documentation says to go into Calendar Options and then Keep Appointment Option to set the retention period.  But I can't access the latter.  Any ideas on how to delete the old calendar entries?

if you are sync your device with the pc through blackberry desktop manager is too easy, connect the device, open DM, go to sync, in sync options change to sync only futures events
If I help you with any inquire, thank you for click kudos in my post.

  • Can you archive old calendar items in Entourage so you don't run out of space on your Blackberry?

    Hi everyone,
I have a Sprint Pearl 8130 and I am syncing with PocketMac to Entourage 2004 on an iBook G4 running OS 10.3.
Most of my syncing issues are minor (for some reason, in contacts, work and home email addresses switch fields, but I can live with that) and I don't have too many complaints about PocketMac for now....
My question is - Does anyone know how to archive old calendar items so that my Blackberry doesn't run out of space? I have calendar items going back to the beginning of 2008.  I don't need past calendar items on my Blackberry, except for reoccurring items, like birthdays and such, and maybe a month's worth of old appointments just for reference.  My Blackberry has run out of space a couple of times and when it deletes the appointments from my Blackberry, syncing wants to either delete from the Mac or restore to the Blackberry.  I know you can do this with a Palm and their Palm software, since I used to have one and I was able to archive items older than a week.  Then you would be able to access them in a separate archive profile.
I have searched everywhere and the closest thing I can find is to purchase Missing Sync and set to match my sync date range.  https://support.markspace.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=327.  But that doesn't really solve my issue of running out of space on my Blackberry.  The other thing that I could think of is to export the calendar items into a .rge file, then delete the calendar items from there, sync, and have PocketMac remove items from my Blackberry, but it would be a pain to easily access old calendar items.
I appreciate any thoughts, ideas and especially solutions!

I have the exact opposite issue you mentioned
my client wants his archived calender items to be synched to his 8830 world wide ed.
he is running RIM software (DesktopManager) v 6.4
    BES 2007
current issue is that his archived old calendars are not synchronizing to his handheld; we tried to force his PC to synch those items manually through cable, which didn't help, since our BES policy force waireless synch policy to the device and wireless synch never can see the archived items files
I think if you can set the option on your device so it turns on the calendar wireless synch, and also make sure MAC does not select archive to synch
    Calendar > Options > General settings or /Wireless synch set to ON;
if you running BES set Calendar Wireless synch off

  • Where are my calendar entries from 2011?

I can no longer access any calendar entries from 2011.  They are GONE.  As a test, I made another entry in the December 2011 calendar, and within five seconds, it disappeared!  Where are my entires for all of last year?  How do I get them back?  I do not have a calendar program on my PC, and I never set any preferences when I installed Icloud, and I cannot access calendars in Icloud without installing Outlook.  I dont want Outlook.  I want my data back from the cloud!  HELP!

You need to find out how the Google calendar application imports calendars from Macs. As for the Calendar itself you can export the calendar to a file. The Google calendar should be able to Import that file.

  • Old calandar entries being deleted

    Hi,
My Blackberry handset has been deleting old calendar entries.  When i synchronise with my desktop, i lose the old entries.
    It's a Pearl 9105, OS6, T mobile.
I've checked in 'calendar' 'options' on my handset and checked that it is set to 'keep forever' (it has always been set to this).
I don't know what else to so and can't synchronise again until I know how to sort this out as i don't want to lose any more old calendar entries.
    Please advise - thanks
    Sarah

There are settings in the Destop Software that control that. Connect the device, dont sync it, and then adjust the settings for calendar sync.

  • Duplicate calendar entries...and even triplicate!

I upgraded everything and have icloud which is driving me INSANE. On my old calendar entries, I have triplicates of events. How do I clear them up?

Thank you...but my contacts? I just removed my calendar from icloud and put it back in again -- still triplicates!
    Any other suggestions?
And I don't use Mobile Me...

  • How to delete duplicate calendar entries on N8?

     Hi,
I recently added a .ics file to add some calendar entries into my N8 calendar. But somehow the same calendar file was added multiple times and now I have 5 duplicate calendar entries for each day.
Is there a way to delete these calendar entries without deleting my old calendar entries? The .ics file was a fixture list of a club and has a lot of entries so deleting them one entry by entry is not an option.
    Thanks,
    Nakul

Normally the fastest and easiest solution is:
Go to calendar/ Calendars Menu/  Hide or Delete any calendars that you can see (leave Personal or any you use the most)
It did the job for me.

  • IOS8 changes calendar entries to GMT

My new iPod Touch 5 w/iOS8.1.2 adds the time in GMT (UTC) to all new calendar entries. It displays the Event, the Date, the Time, and the the time with "(GMT)" following. The latter time is indeed expressed in GMT (UTC), that is, 8 hours ahead of USA Pacific Time. If I go into the "edit" screen for the calendar entry, the time is expressed in GMT (only). I have to change the time to the correct local time and edit "GMT," replacing it with the name of a town on the west coast of USA (like "Cupertino"). Once this is done the calendar entry is corrected and it stays corrected—doesn't go back to GMT. This occurs only for new entries—old calendar entries "inherited" from my former iPod Touch 4. Is there something I need to delete or change in the iPod 5 to get this unwanted "feature" to stop?

Was literally on here looking up the SAME EXACT problem!!  I have my time zone set to Central, time zone support ON set to Chicago but it still has not fixed it.  And I had it turned OFF as well.  Anxious to hear what the responses are!
