Accessing old iTunes songs

I purchased a lot of songs on an old computer that no longer works. Is there a way I can access those tracks on my new computer, using my same username/account?

The feature described by Rysz in the post above is called 'iTunes in the Cloud' but it is not available in all countries that have the iTunes Store. If your country store does not support the ability to download previously purchased music you will need to try and recover those files from the hard drive of you old computer.
One way of doing that is to remover the hard drive from the old computer and placing it in the new one if you have additional drive bays. If you don't have additional drive bays then you need to place the old drive in an external case with a USB port on it. This will allow you to plug the old drive in to your new computer so that you can access your old files. If the old drive is damaged in some way you may need to seek the help of a service to see if the old files can be recovered from the old drive.

itunes is not integrated with finder so do a finder search for kind: music with whatever other criteria you want to specify. while in finder search window start Time Machine, scroll back in time and search that particular time point.

Upgraded C:drive and can't access old iTunes library

A couple of months ago I upgraded my C:drive. It took me a couple of days to do so. Well within that time period I lost my iTouch (4th gen.) I finally got a new iTouch. Here's my problem, when I re-established my iTunes account, it recognized my old iTouch serial number, so why can't I access my old library? I still have the old C:drive if that is relevant. So how do I retrieve my old iTunes library?

You don't say how you are accessing your old drive, but presumably you have it installed in your PC or you have put it in a usb drive enclosure.
Assuming that you have installed iTunes on the new system drive and you haven't added music yet, what you need to do is to drag the new iTunes folder out of Music onto your desk top. Then copy the iTunes folder from Music on the old drive into Music on the new drive so that it replaces the one you dragged out.
You might need to check the permissions on the iTunes fodler to ensure your account and SYSTEM have full control.
This method assumes you had a default installation of iTunes on the old drive, that is to say all your music files were in the iTunes Media folder. If you had something different, things are more complicated.

Getting Old Itunes song from previous Computer

My old powerbooks hard drive just crashed and the data is completely gone. I was wondering if I could get my purchased itunes songs on my new computer since the previous copies are unusable. How would I go about contacting apple to get this done.

Old itunes songs only playing halfway on new computer

I used to own a 2006 macbook and now have a new windows HP laptop. When I tried to transer my itunes library to the new windows computer, all of the songs DID transfer over to the new computer from the mac, however, the songs that were purchased in 2006 under a previously used itunes account (no longer being used because of unused email address, etc. etc.) will only play halfway thorough. So I will be listening to my music and then at around, say, the 2 minute mark there is silence.....the song freezes and itunes just sits there. It wont move to the next song...it just does nothing. It's like I paused the song, but it is still technically playing. It does this on my computer as well as when I play the songs on my iphone. Does anyone have any idea about this? All of the songs that this happens to are "protected AAC audio files." No clue what that means, no clue why this is happening. Im not too computer savy (and the new itunes version isnt helping either) so I am lost on this one...and mad because I paid for these songs but now I can't listen to them!

You're supposed to transfer them from the old computer to the new one instead of redownloading them from the iTunes Store. Except for applications, Apple pays a royalty for each download and therefore usually doesn't allow free redownloads.

New Ipod, accessing old Ipod songs

I have a 1st or 2nd generation Ipod that has finally died. My older songs are on a dell and some newer songs are on a Macbook. If I buy a new Ipod is there any issue getting to al the songs I already have purchased? Any special tips for doing this. I just want to make sure I can access everything still before buying the new one.

First, please note that an iPod formatted on a PC can be read by both PC and Mac computers.
After you purchased a new iPod, connect it with your PC and do an update between your iTunes on your Dell with the new iPod. Once completed, download and install a software e.g.Senuti (do a google search) on your Mac, use this software to transfer the music files from your iPod to the iTunes of your Mac.
Once completed, your iTunes on your Mac should combined from your both computer, then you do a sync between your Mac and the new iPod. Regarding, the purchased song - I am not too sure about it, as iTunes stores is not currently available in HK

If you're using iTunes 7, you can copy music that you purchased from the iTunes Store back to iTunes directly. If you're not using iTunes 7 or want to copy other tracks, the easiest way will be to search VersionTracker for "iPod". You'll find a number of utilities that can transfer your tracks and your playlists from your iPod back to your PC.
It's also possible to do this manually, but the procedure is rather involved. If you're interested, though, see this thread:

Importing old iTunes folder to new computer

I would appreciate any help with this you can give.
I have a MacBook Pro that I had four multi-user accounts on. One of them got corrupted, so that one was deleted and another account was opened. I want to get all the old iTunes songs out of the corrupted user folder and put them in the new account iTunes folder. Do I just drag the whole old iTunes folder into the Music folder of new user? ... letting it overwrite the existing iTunes folder?
If I overwrite the new iTunes folder with the old iTunes folder, will it delete whatever I downloaded in the new iTunes since, or meld the old and new together? How do I keep from deleting newer songs and still keep the iTunes library or directories, or whatever, intact?

Itunes was deleted? Or your itunes library was deleted?
If it was just itunes, then your music should still be there. Just reinstall itunes.
Otherwise just use your backup copy of your comuter to put everything back.

The computer/pc which stored all the songs I had bought from the ITUNE store some, crashed a few years back.
Since then, I only accessed my ITUNES account sporadically and, and however hard I tried, I have not managed to find the way which will help me retrieve my song list. How do I get my songs to show again on my ITUNES account?

The iTunes account is nothing more than the users login details, payment information, and purchase history.
Media is only where the user put it.
Copy the media from the old computer or the backup of the old computer to the new computer.
There is absolutely no logical reason why anyone would expect that media would magically appear on a new computer simply because they signed in with their Apple ID.
