Accessing page history (pages actually viewed, not just entered URLs)

Hi, this is the second of two questions (figured out the third question referenced in my previous posting). Again, thanks in advance for your help.
Safari 3.1.2, Windows XP Professional SP2
In IE and Firefox, there are little "down arrows" by the "Back" and "Forward" buttons, which display a history of the pages I've actually viewed (not just the URLs entered in the address box). I don't see anything like this in Safari. Does Safari have this capability. If yes, how is it accessed?

Did you try clicking and holding down the mouse button on one of those arrows (assuming that you can go back or forward to a page you've already been to? It should work.

Calendar list view (not just birthdays) off by part of a day

The list view of the calendar on the iPhone 4 is showing events on the wrong days... Not just birthdays, not just the Exchange calendar I'm syncing, but also not all events. And it's only off by part of a day. The calendar on 10.6 displays all of them correctly, and the day view of the iOS 4 calendar is correct.
Here's an example:

Why can't I access fully authorized CC apps and not just trials?

Sales says my purchase has been approved. However, when I open a CC application, it asks me for a serial number which I don't have. I was not given one by Adobe. Also, most of the apps in my Creative Cloud Desktop appear as "Try" not "Install." How do I get fully "authorized" so I can utilize fully authorized apps, not just Trials?

This happens when your system is not able to connect to the activation server.
You should check the 'hosts' file in your computer and delete all the Adobe entries from the hosts file.
The location of the hosts file is
For Windows :-- C:\Window s\System32\drivers\etc\hosts
For Mac :-- Finder --->Go--->Go to folder--->/etc--->press enter--->hosts
Open the hosts file with Notepad(for windows) textedit(for mac)
Once you have deleted the Adobe entries from the hosts file after that you can open Creative cloud desktop.

What is the keyboard shortcut for scrolling page down? In Pages, Safari, etc... Just a single page/ screen view, not all the way to the bottom. Thank you.

Trying to navigate the screen without my mousepad. I have carpal tunnel and early stage arthritis and cannot repeatedly make the appropriate motions to scroll with two fingers. Is there a keyboard shortcut for scrolling up and down line by line or page by page?

Yeah. sorry. those are not correct. ctrl N + P are for home and end line shortcuts. Ctrl V does go down one line. But CTRL arrow up or down do not work in Safari. But thank you very much for the attention and the time...
Note from my first post above -- I did not say to use CTRL arrow in Safari:

Note from my second post above and from the first link I gave that Control N, P, and V worked for me in Pages as described in the link and in my post:
The link to shortcuts that I gave abaove includes Control N, P, and V for move down a line, up a line and down a page and those seem to work in Pages.

Web Page Tree View Not Working for One Client

Hello all,
I have one client who is suddenly having problems with the "Tree View" in Web Pages. He clicks it and nothing happens, so he can only view pages by List View. Also, when he clicks the pagination at the bottom of List View, nothing happens. However, he can still use the Next/Previous and First Page/Last Page arrows - they work, but it takes forever to find a page since it's a very large site.
He logged in on a co-worker's computer, and did not have the problem. He's running Windows XP, and it happens in both FF & Chrome. He updated flash and java, and disabled all his extensions and it still caused the problem.
Has anyone else seen this? I'm at a loss as to what to do. He's the only one within the organization that is having this problem, and of course, he's the one who uses ABC the most. He's super frustrated.

Okay, it turns out the problem is when the client is logged in in French. When he switches his account to English, the problem goes away. When he logs in on his computer with a co-workers username, it works in English, but not in French. When he logs in at the co-worker's computer with either his or her username, same thing - it works in English, but not in French.
So, there is something wrong with French UI.

How do I open a new window at the bottom of my page... not just opening a new tab at the top... I used to hit "control N" and a new window would appear as "Firefox Homepage" but now nothing happens since I upgraded Firefox...

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.<br />
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.<br />
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")<br />

How do I download images as actual photos & NOT just jpeg icons in Safari?

I can not get either Safari or Firefox to download images from websites, e.g. ebay items, as pictures----they only download as jpeg icons with a code name and then have to be opened in another app. In Explorer I used to be able to see the images as actual photos, which helped me when I was searching for a saved item in my files.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I do know how to drop and drag photos/images off a website to my desktop, etc. in both Safari and Firefox. But they are only downloaded as jpeg icons, not as thumbnails. So if I save them in my files (I sell on ebay and have always been able to save both the text of sold items in Word and the thumbnails of the photos in Explorer), with Safari or Firefox they are only jpeg icons and in order to see what the thing IS, I have to open it. This means I cannot just look at my saved files and immediately find the item I am looking for by image. I want to be able to save images as thumbnails and NOT as jpeg icons. And, as we all know, Explorer has not been updated for Mac OS.

I have a very nice PPT that I created and I've tried everthing to bring the files in to get the best looking quality = not easy.
What I found to the be the best thing is to publish the PPT file to Presenter and then you have a .swf of each slide which looks really clear!
The problem is, I want to use those images as my slide layouts and then add a few Captivate things from there. Problem - the .swf files appear in the really small thumbnail view in the editing mode of Catpivate!! How can I view them in their actual size, like how you view a JPG or something in Captivate.

Migrating Access Database to Web WITH FORMS (not just backend)

How difficult would this be, what steps would be involved and is Dreamweaver capable of helping?
The server uses IIS and ASP so compatibility should be fine with access.
I have enough of a programming history to replace vbasic code with ASP code if I read about the language, but would like to do the least amount of work required.

Lets just say that Access and Oracle are completly different animals and leave it at that. What I believe you need to do is:
1. Create an Oracle Database using the Database Creation Assistant. (Keep all the Defaults, and keep track of any passwords that are used.
2. Using the System (DBA) account, crate a user to hold the Access Schema (Never create objects in the SYS account and you shouldn't do that with the SYSTEM account either.
3. Run the Access Migration Workbench.

Create Invoice (actual invoice, not just report) before shipping?

We have a need to create a real invoice as soon as the order books, regardless of whether or not the order has fully shipped.
Currently we're creating two separate orders, invoicing one and then shipping from the other, each with different items (a bill only and a fulfill only item) but as you can imagine this can get cumbersome.
Without getting into guarantees and/or commitments (since that would be a very major change), is there any way to facilitate this?
I was thinking of just putting the different items on the same sales order, but I'm not sure if the order will interface to AR until all items on it have shipped.
Am I missing anything?

"I think sales order should has two line with the same item. One line has worflow (only invoice), second line should has workflow with only issue from inventory. After booking you have line in interface and you can use autoinvoice. Second line you can allocate if it is necessary. In this case you will have invoice before issue."
I wonder how to make this requirement and I find 1058043.1. This is not impossible in standard but I think it is possible with custom code. You have to create pl/sql code witch will insert data to ar interface. Now you have to put this activity to custom workflow before issue( shippment ) or create request run manually.

How can I drag/drop a TITLE w/URL of a bookmark, not just the URL.

In a previous version of either FF or Windows, I could drag/drop the TITLE w/URL of a FF bookmark.
In 3.6 I can only d/d the URL.
Can I change it so I d/d the TITLE w/URL as a hyperlink?

Good questions... I'll have to try and figure out when the problem first happened - I was thinking it was when I upgraded to Safari 5.1.4 but that might not be the case... I'll try your suggestions to see if any of them eliminate the problem (I have restarted recenlty and that didn't fix it) but I'll try repairing permissions,etc. Thanks!
hmmm... Mcbuffy: are you implying that you *don't* get the webloc when dragging an image out of Safari and that this isn't a caused by change to Safari but is a big/conflict in mine?

Linking to a page that's not on my local server- need help!

I am trying to set up an image with a hotspot that links to my blog for wordpress. I had issues getting it to work, until I figured out that in the href= section I have to type in just /blog/ but that only works on the home page. It won't work on any other page, because its not just the homepage followed by blog, it's got another directory in there, IE www.mowd-graphics.x10hosting.com/blog as opposed to www.mowd-graphics.x10hosting.com/folder/blog. I know it's not gonna work, but I have no idea how else to get it to link to this page because it's not in my local server like every single other page is. Any help on how to accomplish this?

Whats the point of having page thumbnail view in Pages 5...

Can't copy/paste, can't select multiple pages, can't rearrange, can't insert...seriously...other than being able to delete and navigate, its been stripped of its most important functions.

I am trying to track down your error -1712 but am unable to reproduce it, nor find any references to it.
We are recommending using Pages '09 v4.3 for now.
Pages 5 is not just short of features it is also hazardous to use.
A number of users have reached the point where their Pages 5.1 documents will not open and any attempts to recover text form those documents only produces hexadecimal gibberish.

Close tab groups actually closes tabs rather than just the grouping. How do I recover all tabs, not just the last 10? Pages and tabs are not in recent history.

I had a problem with tab groups - if I mistakenly close tab groups, I can only recover the last 10 tabs.
I had a window with many more than 10 tabs which I reopened each session by going to History > Recently Closed Windows. I knew this was risky - I could lose this if I did not keep it in an open window or recently closed window. So I was looking for a way to save this window with all the tabs. I looked into tab groups and, not knowing what I was doing, I closed the groups of tabs. There seems to be no recovery for other than the last 10 tabs. And open tabs are not necessarily in recent history if I have not accessed the tab and refreshed.

I don't use tab groups myself, but I know of a way to increase the number of closed tabs that Firefox remembers. Unfortunately, it's not retroactive...
(1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste '''sess''' and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click the following preferences and enter the preferred new value:

Regarding what is in history, by default, Firefox will load tabs on demand when you restore a session, rather than loading every single tab immediately. If you turned off that setting, or if you visited all the tabs, then those pages should be in history, but finding them amidst all the others would be quite a challenge...

Do you need to login to access that website?
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
* "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
* "Remove the Cookies" from sites causing problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
