Accessing Photoshop

I am a member of the cloud  and can no longer access photoshop from Lightroom. I am being asked for a serial number which I do not have.

    Details: I launch the program and it prompts me to sign into my adobe account. I click "sign in," and then it loads for awhile. It then displays an error message specifying that I am not connected to the internet or that my pc's clock is not properly synched. I reset my internet connection and synched my clock , but to no avail. The same error message is displayed every time. Any ideas?

    Hey Pete,
    I'm using Windows 7 and I don't think I have any firewalls. But it has recently come to my attention that before my brother gave me this computer, he installed Clock Stopper to extend free trial programs. It's since been uninstalled, but could that program have messed up my clock permanently?

    What OS are you using? Do you have any firewalls that you could potentially disable while loading this screen?

    CS4 Photoshop has not been tested on Yosemite. But still you can try the Java 6 update using the below link.

  • Cannot access Photoshop CC (2014) since last major update

    Since the new update, I cannot access Photoshop CC (2014). I always receive a Window message:
    WER3D83.tmp.hdmp.
    I have no problem with Illustrator and InDesign, only  with Photoshop CC (2014).
    Should I uninstall the app and install it again? Good thing I still have an older version, but would prefer to use the new one.
    I'm working on an important project, don't really have time to investigate. Any hep would be appreciated.

  • I had to restore my windows 7 computer to an early time and now I can't access photoshop cs

    I tried to access photoshop cs and it wanted me to reactivate the program, but the program failed and then I tried to reinstall it on Windows 7 home edition but the file transfer failed. It wouldn't do it. I just used cs the other day after I had restored the computer but now suddenly it uninstalled itself from my computer and I can't reinstall it.

    click start>control panel>uninstall programs and see if ps cs6 is installed.  if it is, uninstall it using the uninstaller.
    then run the cleaner (http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html).
    then restart your computer and reinstall ps cs6.

    Yes, you are right. The web-based online help is available only for the current version of Photoshop. I also discovered how to access the online help that originally came on my CS4 disk. You turn on the offline option (Windows>Extensions>Connections). With the online help from the disk and the PDFs you pointed out, I am happy. Thank you very much. (I hope I have replied to everyone correctly. I am new to this.) My thanks to everyone.

  • Access Photoshop "Help" without launching Adobe AIR?

    Is there a way to access Photoshop Help, from the Help menu, without installing or launching Adobe AIR?
    I'm not a mobile app developer, plus I've been seeing many security concerns and other problems related to Adobe AIR, like log files filling up hard drives.
    Also, I really don't like installing or opening apps on my computer that are not necessary and don't seem safe.

    AIR gets installed with your point product, but you will get AIR update notifications, at launch of an AIR app, if it's outdated.
    If you really don't want to use the AIR based Help app, then you can change a preference in said app. This will change the way Help is called from Ps and launch directly to the web based Help content in your default browser. You can also download the PDF help content if you don't have internet connection or would like to print out some content.
    To change the Help launch target, first launch the AIR based app via Help> Photoshop Help... (cmd+/) Then at the top menu bar, go to Adobe Help> Preferences (cmd+,). In this dialog (see screen shot below) go to the Accessibility Mode: section and select the 'Open Help in browser' radio button. Now close the dialog via Done button, and quit the application.
    You may need to relaunch Ps, I'm not sure.

    Creative Cloud Photography plan is a subscription based service which does not required any serial number or any code.
    I would recommend trying the steps mentioned below:
    1. Launch the application which says you are in trial mode.
    2. On the Creative Cloud application trial screen, click on "License this Software".
    3. Sign in with your Adobe ID associated with your Creative Cloud membership.
    If this issue still persists then please check the below mentioned link.
    When I open my Creative Cloud application it asks me for my serial number?

    I am considering purchasing Photoshop Elements on our family Mac, there are four user accounts, when Elements is installed is it possible for all users to access it?
    I appreciate that I will probably have to amend the users access rights through the system preferences however I wanted to make sure that there isn't any restrictions from Elements point of view.

    You should see a prompt to "License this Software". You might see it on the Trial Screen.
    Click on that, sign in if asked, then click on the "I have a serial number" option or you maybe able to do that directly.
    Once your serial number is entered, your software is licensed and activated.
