Accessing purchased video content via cloud on iPad iOS5

I can see all my music via cloud on iTunes on iPad iOS5 but can't see video. The iTunes app doesn't give me the option to switch to video on "purchased" tab. Anyone know a fix? Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. I meant TV shows. They aren't visible with the music. The support section on the Apple site says I should see the option to switch between video and music on the "purchased" tab on iTunes (iPad).

  • Error (-69) attempting to download purchased video content to 160GB Ipod

I am attempting to download purchased video content from Itunes to my Ipod. Till recently there has been no problems. I believe this problem is actually stemming from the downloading of content to my computer resulting in faulty files that cannot be downloaded to my ipod. I am using a Dell XPS desktop computer running Windows XP Media Edition. All software relating to Itunes or my Ipod is up to date as of the writing of this post. My Itunes library, music and video files are downloaded to an external Hard drive rather than to my desktop because of the massive amount of data. As of about two months ago I noticed that many of my songs (about 1 out of every ten and many of which had been fine for months prior) was in some way corrupted. However my Ipod still has many of these same songs that work fine. Sooooooo. First- How do I replace individual songs or at the very least download all music and selectively delete duplicates. And Second- figure out what is causing BRAND NEW video files to download messed up. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks

  • Purchased videos not displaying on new iPad

    Hello,
Recently upgraded to an iPad Air this weekend from an iPad3.
The setup assistant was run on the Ipad Air, and I restored to it from my most recent iCloud backup. I noticed after the restore from backup that for some reason, the Videos app on the Air is not showing all of my purchased videos, just a couple that were locally downloaded.
I do know about the difference between items purchased but not downloaded and items fully downloaded to the device; the iPad 3, which hasn't been factory restored yet, is doing the expected iOS7 behavior with Show All Videos enabled in the General>Settings>Videos, and also Show All Music and Videos enabled under ITunes and AppStore. As far as I know, all of my purchased music did download and is available in the Music app, and if I go to the iTunes store and select Purchased, the videos are showing there, just not in the Videos app.
Both iPads are running the current iOS build (7.0.4), and both settings above are enabled on the new iPad as well, but the purchased items do not show in the app even with these enabled.
Anything else that I can check for or try, or is this an iCloud-related bug?

I got mine to work, finally.
    Things to check:
    1. Verify that the Apple ID used during setup (or being used for in your settings for both iCloud and the iTunes store) are correct. In my case, the AT&T customer rep used all lower-case in my Apple ID. No ID match, no authentication. No authentication, no communication with the ITunes Store servers, so no ability to see purchases in the cloud. (Rule of thumb - always check the csr's work afterward).
    2. If the AppleID is correct, log out of your iTunes account and iCloud on the Ipad and log back in.
    3. Power down and restart the iPad.
    4. Other than that, verify that the 'show all' settings are enabled.
I did this right before sync'ing music from my iTunes library on my computer (that hadn't been working either), so iTunes (on the computer) also prompted me to re-enter my AppleID and password there - strangely enough, it also fixed the sync'ing problem.
Hope something in the above helps.

  • Macbook thinks it is abroad! - Unable to access UK Video content!

    Dear all,
I would really appreciate your help!
I went to Portugal with my Macbook and tried to view MSN UK Video content in Safari. Understandably, it said I needed to be in the UK to view the content.
However, now I am here and back in the UK and the site still comes up with the same message thinking I am abroad!
I have reseted Safari and tried Firefox and it works in neither. Therefore I think there is something on my Mac or some setting that has changed to make sites believe I am still abroad?
Any idea how to fix this?
    Thanks,
    George

    Hi
You may need to play with your network settings: System Preferences > Network
For most people, the correct location to choose is called Automatic. If you select this and go into Advanced then the TCP/IP page should show "Using DHCP".
If you have a standard set up with a wireless router, then your IP address should be 192.168.x.x and your router should also be 192.168.x.x but with a different final number(s).
Unfortunately, it's difficult to be specific because there are so many variations.

    Greetings,
It's possible there's a cookie still present, but if you reset Safari and chose to remove all cookies and history, it should be gone. If you didn't do that, then you should, and test it again.

  • Error when accessing video content via Home Sharing on iPad

Updated iTunes (Oct. 22)  with the iCloud Control Panel for Windows 7.  I enabled iCloud for Windows 7 via the Control Panel.  Home Sharing is enabled in itunes.  I can play music on my iPad2 using the Library on my Windows machine.   But it I try to play any videos  (movies/tv) the following error is displayed:
"You do not have permission to access the requested resource"
The Home Sharing is working on my Apple TV device.  Any suggetions or help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Troy

I had exactly the same problem on my iPhone. Switching it off and back on again has solved the problem. My iTunes library is on a Mac but I don't think that should make any difference. Intermittently, I have also had difficulty accessing my iTunes library from my iPad2 although not with any error message. Turning home sharing off and back on again in iTunes solved that one

  • Cover art on purchased video not showing up on ipad

I have a first generation (yes, I know, sort of quill and parchment but, hey, it works just fine) Ipad, bought a movie from the Itunes store and the cover art didn't transfer.  It shows up fine at the store, on my itunes account, and there is no other obvious explanation for this.  I downloaded it a second time, same result.  The movie plays just fine.  Suggestions?

  • Best way to access files on Xserve via VPN on iPad?

Can anyone tell be the best solution for accessing files housed on the companies Apple Xserve remotely via VPN from an iPad? Numbers / Pages etc.
    thanks,
    Rick

The iPad doesn't natively support file systems such as those on servers, but there are third-party apps that can allow this. FileBrowser is one often mentioned, so you might look into that. VPN will be a separate issue; iOS has a built-in VPN client which works with many VPN systems, but you'll need to see if yours is supported.
    Regards.

  • Recent video content on iPad/iPhone is reloading during sync.

Recently purchased video content is reloading to my devices even though the same content is already on the device.
Can successfully remove the video, and that stops the reload during subsequent syncs.  If the content is put back, the reloading starts again in subsequent syncs.
Not the worst problem, but a big time and data consumer, and very annoying.
    I have tried the following without success of stopping this behavior;
1.)  Deleted the video in question from my library and downloaded it again from Apple.
2.)  Downloaded/Reinstalled iTunes from Apple on my laptop.
    3.)  Device soft reset.
4.)  Device factory reset and restored.
My current system is;  OSX 10.9.3 and iTunes 11.2.2 running on MacBook Pro, while OS Version 7.1.1 resides on my iPhone 5S and iPad2.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thank you.

Update to the above concern... not only does my video reload over and over on each subsequent sync after it is already on the device, I am now also seeing 2 apps just purchased do the same.
I figure this must be an iTunes or an Account issue as it is doing the same thing across devices.
Local Apple store had no idea what to suggest to correct this error tonight.

  • TS1363 device does not sync purchased video

Someone please help me with this issue. I purchased quite a few movies in the iTunes store and they will not sync to my device. I have an iPod 5 generation with a click wheel. 60 GB. I have never had a problem syncing any video/movie before and now nada! It shows up in my iTunes on my computer but will not transfer onto my iPod. Waaa!

If the movies are "HD," they are too high resolution for the iPod's screen, and iTunes will not sync them.  There is a command in iTunes to Create New Version of a video that will work on iPods, but that command is disabled for purchased video content from the iTunes Store, because of DRM (copy protection).  However, if you purchased the HD version, you may be entitled to also download the SD (standard def) version at no cost.
If that is not the problem, please post back.  Do you get an error message when you attempt to sync the videos?  Are you syncing content manually (by dragging items to the iPod in iTunes), or by using automatic syncing?

  • In airplane can't access paid video cause it's in cloud how can I get out of cloud so I can view video on ipad

CCan't access paid video on iPad why

Are you referring to being in Airplane Mode, or on an actual aircraft? If you purchased a movie, you would need to download it to the device, and would need to do that while you could still connect to the Internet.

Does the iOS device connect to other networks? If yes that tend to indicate a problem with your network.
Does the iOS device see the network?
    Any error messages?
    Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
    - iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
    - Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
    - iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

    Yes.
