Accessing Quick poll iView though anonymous users
Hi all,
I have created a quick poll and i want to assign this poll to anonymous users only, so i have put the user "Anonymous" to Participants.
After that i have put the Campaign name to Content Admin. >> Content Provided By SAP >> End User Content >> Standard User >> Iviews >> com.sap.km.iviews-->Quick Poll Iview property : Campaign to be used.
And set the Quick Poll Iview authetication scheme to anonymous.
But while accessing the iview from home page its displaying the login page , and after login i am able th view my poll.
I want to display the view in home page to anonymous users only.
Could you please tell me where exactly I have gone wrong?

Also i was checking polls functionality in these forums,anonumous users can view the polls but cannot participate in it since votes are submitted along with user ids.

1) If you want to create Quick Poll in Knowledge Management then you should
have 2 roles assigned to you i.e. eu_role and content management.
2) To assign those roles go to User Management and assign to your User or can ask the Sys Admin to do it.
3) You will see New Worksetu2019s assigned to you in the Portal
a) Content Administrator and
b) Home
4) Go to Content Management Quick Poll Administrator
5) You will find a New button. Click it
6) Give the Following Details
a) New Give some name to the Poll you are conducting.
b) Campaign Create a New Campaign or use the existing campaign.
c) Question Post some Question
d) Responses Give one response per line like yes, no, canu2019t say.
e) Result Availability Select the appropriate radio button.
7) There are different options to beautify the Poll create, check the Tabu2019s above the poll create.
You can change the Image, Layout, Result Display, Participants, Schedule and Comment.
8) Now that you have created the Poll, you have to activate the Poll.
9) Go to Content Administration
10) Go to Portal Content Right Side panel you click Portal Content.
11) Under that you will have a folder u201CContent Provided by SAPu201D. Click it.
12) Find u201CEnd User Contentu201D .Click it.
13) Find u201CStandard Portal Useru2019su2019. Click it
14) Find u201CIViewsu201D. Click It.
15) Find u201Ccom.sap.km.iviewsu201D. Click It.
16) Find u201CQuick Pollu201D. Double Click it.
17) It will open the Quick Poll Iview, in the property category change the
u201CCampaign to be usedu201D as the name the campaign which you have created while creating the poll.
18) Come back to Content Management
19) If already a poll is running it then stop it and start the poll you have created. -
Hello SDNers,
I am in the phase of creating Quick poll IView for portal frontpage/Homepage(newly created role).
My concern is, how can I make Quick poll more beutifull like setting the background color of QP or something more innovative.
Other concern would be, I want to provide the Quick poll IView in only frontpage just below to detailed navigation position. Will it be possible ?
Finally when I created the Quick poll using Quick poll administration in Content management, >>>> then created the KM QP IView under Content administration by assigning the compaign Name to be used >>>> assigned to desktop inner pages.
Now, the QP IView doesn't allows me to vote. Only it shows the results
Please, provide me solution where I went wrong ? Appreciate your time and valuable inputs.

I'm trying to create a quick poll for a collaboration room. To do this (in EP 6.0.2.3.7) I need to set the campaign of the Rook Quick Poll iView. I found the standard Room Quick Poll iView and changed the campaign accordingly. Unfortunately, it was not the right iView. My question is:
Where do I find the Room Quick Poll iViews of my collaboration rooms?

Under Content Administration, go to Portal Content -> com.sap.ip.collaboration -> Template Content -> Generic -> iViews. There you will find Room Quick Poll.

KM URL & Quick Poll iViews resize problems

I use both KM URL & KM Quick Poll iViews in my homepage.
Whenever I use FQDN those iViews does not resize automatically.

Go to iview and open as object.
Select 'Load' from the Property Category drop down(you can also get it by show all option also)
There you find the Isolation method property. Initially it is set to 'url'. change this to 'Embeded'

Web Dynpro iView for Anonymous user
Hi All,
I created a Web Dynpro iView based on local Web Dynpro application. I am trying to access this iView as a anonymous user. I have given Authentication mode as
"flase". In iView properties and Page properties Authentication Scheme is "anonymous". In all permissions I added "Anonymous Group" and given Read and End User permissions. After doing all these things Still it is prompting me for Login. My Server is 2004s SP 10.
Please Somebody tell me what I am missing.

I think you have to assign this iview to the standard user role which you can find under Portal content ->Portal users -> standard portal users -> Standard user role and assign this to group "Everyone" (if not already done).
Then you should be able to access this iview directly. Let me know if it works.

Webdynpro iview to anonymous user

I have developent a local development component in webdynpro.
For this webdynpro application i have to create an iview and assign it to an anonymous user.
But if i create an webdynpro iview and assign it to the anonymous user, it gave me an exception of accss denied for the anonymous use.

We have an url iview with two Language-specific URLs (en and es) and a default URL. This iview is in anonymour portal page.
The first time that an anonymous user accees to /irj/portal/anonymous the url iview shows the default url instead of the en URL. Browser lengauge is EN.
How can i solve this??

There are two condition for the URL Language-specific :
1. You must first create the URL iView and then use the editor to use this
feature. It is not available in the URL iView Wizard.
2. You cannot apply a different look and feel to language-specific URLs.
iView content will be displayed at runtime in its native format as defined in
the source Web page. For more information, see the Keep
source formatting option in Defining the Look and Feel of the iView Content.
The remaining look and feel rendering option are supported by the default URL only.
In addition there is an option to check the service configuration of the Language-specific :
com.sap.portal.admin.wizardframework:
edit the SourceLocales field check that the requested Language is defined and if not you can add it
( Follow note# 1078145 )
After doing so , please restart the service , and check the results.
If the problem still exist let me know and we can have further investigation.

Hi you all!
We are going to implement the Quick Poll iView in our local Portal as a tool to decide where to go for lunch. I know, not the most exciting use for it, but it will come in handy for us since we are located in different part of our town. And it will hopefully also raise the use of the portal
But there is this one problem: how do you make the poll reset itself automatically like, say, every midnight? Is there a way to do this?

you can use scheduler for this type of work just use quick poll administrator iview for scheduling and quick poll iview for end user .hope this will help you just a work arround both this iviews are available in content provided by SAp/specialist/com.sap.km ..../iviews.just have a work arround.

SarangAs long as the quick poll iview that you put into the anonymous user role, has an authentication scheme of anonymous, then it will work fine.
Don't forget to point the iview at the relevant quick poll campaign.

Anonymous user access to GP Process iView
Hi GP/Portal Gurus,
I've created an iView for my GP process. The problem is only authenticated users can successfully access to this GP Process iView. Anonymous users will get an error in accessing GP process iView. I've given the Page and iView authentication scheme as anonymous. But still, it doesn't work.
The error message is:
"com.sap.tc.webdynpro.clientserver.session.SessionExpiredLongJumpException: Application session has expired: No application session with ID oJji4PrZdG5ox8ITkiHTpAsDdNOJtMyv78EPQ66xiLlA/pcd:portal_content/cafUAT/formBrole/sap.com/cafeugpuiinst/AInstantiation/base exists. Hint: A follow-up request was sent to Web Dynpro, but no corresponding session was found under the existing sessions. Reasons: a) Session has expired; b) Web Dynpro is called with incorrect session parameters; c) Application session has been destroyed due to proceeding exception. Please restart the application..."

From what you have posted, please try to login again into portal and then proceed with the creation of iView.

Hi SDN,
We are using the standard SAP Quick Poll iview in our site. In the End User Part, there is a button which displays 'Show History' which takes us back to the previous polls. We donot want this feature to be part of the end user screen. I tried removing it by deleting the history folder under the particular campaign, but still when i am creating a new quick poll - A new history folder is created to accomadate the older poll.
How to get rid of the Show History option??

The problem occurs with any administrator account.

Double-click on the iView and Property Editor will open on the right panel.
In the Property Category field, choose Show All.
Modify the value in the property Campaign To Be Used to quick poll name u creted
Save and choose Preview button -
