Accessing Solution Manager CHARM Via SAP CRM

Hi
Is it possible to accces charm of soultion manager via SAP CRM
If so how does it work and documentation are welcomed
Thanks in advance
R-K

option 1
  > customise sap crm to cater for the external product in terms of what solution manager charm / service is currently doing for sap componet
. Create all the status for this products eg: transport is in Dev for product A, Transprot is in QA for product A or product is in Prod then test and close the call
> access solution manager from crm (NB: work center / service desk can be accessed through crm) the problem is WE NOT SURE OF CHARM
> also customise crm to cater for IT related issues like broken laptop or netowrk cable not working or  IT related query,
Option 2
> intergrate the external product to solution manager o
> Customise CHARM / service desk to cater for this external product in solution manager the way it does for sap components / ibase

  • Importance of Bounce management functionality in SAP CRM

    Hi All,
I want to discuss few interesting issues which I have come a cross while doing a setting for bounce management functionality in SAP CRM 7.0
Before sharing my experience I want to discuss some term related to Bounce email than will discuss about types of bounce emails and cause of the bounce email. The setting of bounce functionality is describing in below link .
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm700_ehp01/helpdata/en/46/3f509215835fa7e10000000a1553f7/content.htm
In general when a website visitor sigh up they receive email from the company site, the information the site collected saved in the database but It commonly happen some of your email will be undeliever. In marketing term we say it as 'Bounce'. this is the same way happen as when a person give a bank cheque to bank and don't have sufficient money to his/her account the bank people say the cheque got bounce ..
As we are aware emails are bounce for variety of reason such as.
         - In case the recipient email address is invalid.
         - recipient email address is inactive or closed
         - recipient mailbox is full or mail server have some technical issue etc
In general all these bounces emails categorize in two category.
Hard bounce- When email address is not active. example wrong email address, email address de-activated, deleted,or closed
Soft bounce-  recipient mailbox is full, mail server have some technical issue, Out_of_office is setup .
Now finally we come to know about the cause of bounce email and types. Now the question arises why this is so important when we have bounce management functionality active in sap crm marketing ? as described in above url.
suppose that there is a campaigning happening for an product where 3000 person visited it. Now incase 2000 visitors shown interest so have qualified as prospect bases on the information they have provided such as name, address, salary or employment detail.
After successfully execution of campaign now senior executives create a mailing list for all the prospects in the target group of campaign and sends email to all the users. Now if I say to how many customers really company have reached reached after campaign execution answer will be we can not have the correct fact and figure as there could be some bounce happened.
Now incase bounce management setting is configure in your CRM system than system will receive inbound e-mails for each bounce.Suppose we have received one thousand bounce emails than we would say actual customer contacted is 1000. this is the correct fact and figure and very much useful for marketing people.
After than executive could remove email address which were hard bounced and for soft bounce they can use some other channel to contact like telephone calls etc to reach them.
The correct facts and figures are very much important for marketing strategy and planning and also to know success level of each campaign. Assume a scnario where in day a company launches more than 5 campaign. I feel the importace is transparent now.
I hope you would find some interest in above blog.
    Thanks

  • SAP Solution Manager Adapter for SAP Quality Center by HP (ST-QCA)

    Hello Folks,
I am configuring Solution Manager, and the current activity asks to download to add-ons that I can't find in the Marketplace - they are required to activate Solution Manager Enhancements:
SAP Solution Manager Adapter for SAP Quality Center by HP (software component: ST-QCA)
SAP Support Enablement package (software component: ST-SEP)
Does anyone know where to get those components?
    Thanks a lot,
    Marco

    Hi Ravindra babu/ Murali:
I have one very quick doubt and would be really glad if you can help clarify.
As per documentation from SAP and also IMG screens etc. it seems like 'a project' in SolMan will hand-shake with 'a project' in QC.
Can I therefore assume that if there is only one instance of SolMan (productive) and one QC server alone (again, productive), any number of trials I carry out between SolMan project and QC project will not spill over into other projects in these two systems and thus have no impact whatsoever at server level.
The reason for my asking this - in my project, Testing has started using QC in a standalone mode already. We have just one server. If I have to carry out any tests/ demo between SolMan and QC, it shouldn't impact other 'standalone' projects being done in QC.

  • Solution Manager and a SAP GRC AC 5.3

    Hello,
We have a Solution Manager and a SAP GRC AC 5.3
We ant to know if somebody knows how to connect or the architecture os infrastructure to connect the Solution MAnager with the GRC.
What we have to do is... If someone in the Solman does a user or role request, the SAP GRC gets this request and begins the necesary workflows.
    I need help
    Best regards.
    Pablo Mortera.

    Hi,
As per your requirement, you want that the request should be automatically trigerred from Solman to GRC.
In GRC, CUP is used to provision the user and roles. The request can directly be created in CUP by a functionality known as HR triggers however this requires SAP_HR module which is not present in Solman.
So it is not possible to create request directly from solman. User can login to CUP and then can create the request for his login.

  • Solution Manager Charm configuration

    Hi @all,
I´am using SAP Solution Manager 7.0 SP 15. Configurated all Charm Steps successfully.
The SAP Solutoin Manager - Scenario- Specific Settings - Change Management - Extended Configuration -Checks - Execute Check Report is green
I can´t open any hance cycle in solar_project_admin - System Landscape - Change Requests , Create Task List, I get the result "project is not released. hance cycle can not be created".
If i click "check", there are three errors:
Message from function module /TMWFLOW/CALC_SINGLE_TRACK: No source system
    (Message no. /TMWFLOW/TRACK_N103)
No track for project DF_WART_01 with log. system A36/200
    (Message no. /TMWFLOW/CM_CHECK038)
CTS projects in production systems for project DF_WART_01
    (Message no. /TMWFLOW/TASKLIST190)
    System change options are empty.
In my authorized Change Requests - related documents (next document). i get "there are no actions in the Worklist"
i´ve no idea where my fault is. I hope you can help me.
    Please suggest.
    Best Regards
    Daniel

Now I have created a new maintenance project, I´ve configured everything, when I check it, I get two errors:
No consolidation system found for A36-200 (project DF_SOLMAN1)
    Message no. /TMWFLOW/TRACK_N806
No track for project DF_SOLMAN1 with log. system A36/200
    Message no. /TMWFLOW/CM_CHECK038
I noticed that this thread is pretty old already but I bumped into similar error messages and in the end it was caused by a TMS route configuration that didn't match the configuration of the logical component that was in use.
You can pretty easily verify this through SMSY. Navigate to your logical component there, select the line of the system assignment and click on Shipment Routes button. If you get an empty screen back, then your TMS transport route configuration doesn't match your logical component configuration.
For example, you've got DEV 100 - DEV 200 - PRD 100 for a CHARM demo landscape. If your TMS transport route configuration matches this but your logical component has DEV 100 assigned as Quality Assurance, then your configuration check for CHARM will fail because there is a mismatch.
When your configuration is correct, so both your TMS transport route as your Logical Component (system role assignment), then you should get a transport route configuration back (visible) after clicking Shipment Routes.

Then click the Solution Manager drop down menu and select setup connection
    Then fill in the details:
    Product System

  • Solution manager charm configure

    hello everyone
i want to configure the charM scope with our R3 and BW at  two  domain .
    R3 landscape
                        DEV(101sandbox,201-develop,301-customizing ,800unit testing)
                        QAS(800- testing)
                        PRD(800-prduct)
tranport   from DEV TO QAS and delivery to PRD ,also you can export the object from  QAS to PRD for special .
    domain controller is PRD
    BW landscape BWD(client 100)--BWQ(client 880)BWP(client 880)
    domain controller is BWP
if we use the charM for manager the change requst ,how we configure  in all system for prepare the charM like the stms configure .
we notice our test system and prd system have same client number ,so it is ok for configure ?
    expect your help!
    thanks a lot!
    frank

    Hi,
1 QAS client and PRD client can be the same(need not to be different).
    2. Make sure that the system landscape you mention under system landscape tab of SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN should match with TMS configuration of Solution Manager.(This is very important).
You should create a maintenance project with system landscape DEV-201->QAS-200->PRD-200 using SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN. Repeat this step for BW also.
You need to configure TMS of Solution Manager in Client 000 as follows:
        SLM->DEV-201->(Consolidation Route)QAS-200->(Delivery Route)PRD-200
        SLM->BW-100->(Consolidation Route)BW-880->(Delivery Route)BW-880
No more document is required better than SPRO. Just follow this SPRO path to configure TMS:
    SPRO->SAP Solution Manager->Configuration->Scenario-Specific Settings->Change Management
->Change Request Management->Standard Configuration->Transport Management System(Read IMG activity of each step).
Let me know if you have aby issues.

    Sanjai

  • Solution Manager CHARM Implementation

Our company has implemented SAP in the year 2000.  Now we are trying to implement Solution Manager and do CHARM configuration.
The difficulty what we are facing is the system is taking all the transports which have already done right from the year 2000.
Is ther any way by which we can restrict the system not to take those CR's into consideration...

  • Solution Manager Installation Error "SAP SOLUTION MANAGER 7.0 EHP 1"

I am new to SAP and currently trying to install SOLMAN 7.0 EHP 1 on Windows Server 2008 R2. I have read the documentation also. For JDK I have used "j2sdkfb-1_4_2_24-rev-b06-windows-amd64.exe" which looks to be working fine.
The installation process runs fine until it hits "Start Instance" the message on the bottom says "Starting instance xxx/DVEBMGSOO" (where xxx is my sid) and then its times out after 10 minute. After timing out I get the following error on the window.
An error occurred while processing option SAP Solution Manager 7.0 EhP1 > SAP Systems > Oracle > Central System > Central System( Last error reported by the step: ABAP processes of instance ORC/DVEBMGS00 ABAP: UNKNOWN did not start after 10:00 minutes. Giving up.). You can now:
Choose Retry to repeat the current step.
Choose Log Files to get more information about the error.
Stop the option and continue with it later.
Log files are written to C:\Program Files/sapinst_instdir/SOLMAN/SYSTEM/ORA/CENTRAL/AS.
Though the installation steps are not fully completed but I do see SAP management Console and when I open it I see two process running "msg_server.exe" & "igswd.exe" The process dispwork.EXE starts in the beginning and then stops and stays stopped. I tried restarting all the process again but only tow of them starts and the process "dispwork.EXE" starts but then stops again. I also did a NEW installation considering a file could have been corrupted or something else but the installation process stops and the same place. I am sure ppl have installed SOLMAN on windows 2008 R2 and this error seems common to me. Please assist. Any tips would be nice.

    Hi,
    Please check the below
    1) ip/host entries should be in /etc/hosts
    2) patch the latest kernel for 2008 R2
    and re run installation

  • Solution manager, SLD and SAP MC

    Hello,
It seems that both System landscape directory and SAP management console have some overlapping features. The services can be started or stopped in both. Is it true? Does anyone know the difference between these 2 and where does Solution manager fit in?
    Thanks
    Shaiikil

We can stop, start SAP services from NWA. Now we cannot say Netweaver, NWA and MMC are similar...
MMC is a tool/enviroment provided by microsoft for starting stopping services, managing user rights, security settings, policies and so on...
this can never be compared with SAP Environment for similarities.
    Feel free to revert back.

  • Installing License in Solution Manager 4.0 - SAP BASIS 7.0

Hi, I installed SAP Solution Manager, I request my unlimited license at SAP Marketplace, they send me the file, however in slicense transaction - New licenses I load my file and no errors show me. However when finish load of file, license status is not active (green) but it is red and show me as "Not yet valid". I restart my server and delete temporary license and nothing happend, message is the same. Is important know than licenses in new version (SAP BASIS 7.0) and ECC 6.0, installation is not equal than old version. The file with the key must be imported from slicense transaction - new license and no write directly to slicense transaction fields.
    Thanks.

Obviously you have to upgrade SAPKW70012 first as its the prerequisite of Basis support pack. So just import this support pack then you can only continue for Basis patch.
There is a sequence in which patch can be imported, when you apply any patch it shows the prereuisites of that patch so just follow the same.

  • Solution Manager/Charm and Transport Dependency Check

    Hello Everyone,
I apologize if this question has an obvious answer.  I have searched SDN and could not get a 100% answer.
We are just now in the process of rolling out Charm/Solution Manager and I have noticed that it appears to not perform transport dependency checks.  For example, let's say I am working on object ABC and have completed my testing (ready for transport to production) and then another developer also starts development on object ABC.  When my change is moved to production, it will pick up the other developers modifications without giving a warning or an error that a dependency has been encountered between the two transport requests.
Does Charm/Solution Manager offer the option of producing a warning should a transport depedency be identified?  If so, will someone explain (or point me to the appropriate documentation) how this can be set up?
    Best Regards,
    Scott

    Hi Scott,
ChaRM supports imports from DEV->QAS->PRD by transport by transport requests level not by transport request task level. So don't worry(i.e., You can't import only your change of object ABC to production. It allows to import your change and other user's change of object ABC together to production).
This is how it works(if more than an user works on the same object):
    1. Requester creates a support message from satelitte system to report a problem.
    2. Service desk employee creates a change document because some changes need to be done on object ABC to correct that reported problem.
    3. Change Manager approves the change document. So a normal correction is created automatically.
    4. This normal correction is assigned to 2 developers(your scenario) like for an example DVPR1 and DVPR2.
    5. DVPR1 creates a transport request and does some changes on object ABC. So a transport task will be created for DVPR1 under that transport request automatically.
    6. When DVPR2 tries to do some changes on the same object ABC, a seperate transport task(not a transport request) will be created for DVPR2 under the same transport request because the object ABC is locked under the transport request. So DVPR2 can't create a separate transport request for the same object if any transport request is pending(not released).
    7. Now object ABC will have one transport request. That transport request will have 2 transport tasks(1 for DVPR1 and 1 for DVPR2).
    8. Each developer relases their transport task only(not transport request) once he/she completes his/her change on the object ABC.
    9. DVPR1 or DVPR2 will change the status of normal correction to "Development Completed".
    10. Now, IT operator or DVPR1 or DVPR2 can release the transport request. The transport request can be released only if all tasks are released under the same transport request.
(In this example: DVPR1 completed his change and released his transport task. Next DVPR2 completed and released his transport task).
    11. Finally IT operator import the transport request to QAS and PRD.
Hope you are clear now. Let me know if you have any doubts.
    Regards,
    Sanjai

  • Updating Solution Manager - Charm Non-regression Tests

    Dear Gurus,
we plan to update Solution Manager from SP18 to SP25.
One of our concerns is related to Charm. Actually, due to code changes in the Charm workflow, we'd like to ensure there won't be any regression. what would you suggest?
    1) Adding additional mandants to the sandbox system (one for every system in the transport route)
    2) Creating virtual systems in TMS
    Sincerly,
    Ludovic

I will try to clarify the issue.
As regression test, we would like to simulate a Charm workflow within the sandbox environment. The original Workflow is based on validation steps accross DEV - INT - QUA - PPD - PRD.
Question is : can I define virtual systems in TDM/CHARM like I would do to bypass a system during transports in order to simulate our complete landscape?
    Kind Regards,
    Ludovic
