Accessing Sub Calendars in via HTTP Web Calendar

Hi,
I'm trying to work out how to display all of my calendars on the web calendar interface in OS X 10.5.5
I am accessing the server : http://diary.local which give me a login prompt, I successfully log in and then go to Calendar, it says please wait while populating, but then doesn't actually populate anything.
I have sub-calendars within my account which I use for 'holidays','cars','My Plans','Room Bookings' etc - all of these are shared for delegation, so need to be kept seperate.
How do I enable the web calendar to be able to view all of these diaries as well?
I've tried phpiCalendar - but that only allows for a single calendar (and loads all the .ics files), however the directory structure has all of them in different folders, so this doesn't work in my case.
Many thanks,
Carl.

This is a MS problem, they force you to use a light owa version when not using internet explorer.

  • Can't get read-only access to my switches via http

I set up a couple of users for read-only access to our switches via their web browsers. I set this up in Network Assistant. However when we try to log in, only a level 15 user is allowed to log in and there doesn't seem to be any way change this.
I know in Network Assistant, you can choose which user level you want, but I don't see any way to do it via the web interface.
    What am I missing here?

Implementing security within a switching environment is less intuitive than in a router. Switches, by design, tend to recognize only two levels of administrative access - user exec mode or privileged exec mode. Implementation of security at different access levels, level 15, etc, can be tricky and should be done at the command prompt, not in the GUI.
You should reset your config and do not use Network Assistant for this purpose; it is "buggy."

    Hello
I have a self signed certificate on an ACS 4.2 Windows machine. I open a browser port to https://ipaddress:2002 of the acs and get the certificate error message as expected. • Only one gCal sub-calendar syncs with iPhone

    1. I have just added my gCal CalDav account to my iPhone list. I have followed the direct gCal --> iPhone syncing instructions very very carefully. It turns out, however, that only one of my various gmail sub-calendars syncs, and all the rest stay practically invisible. What do I do wrong?
    2. Also, I was able to CalDav sync gCal <--> iCal, and these sub-calendars do appear on my iCal, but as delegations. Weirdly enough, the delegations stay invisible to iTunes, and thus preventing me to sync iCal --> iPhone.
    3. When the dust settles down, I have on my iPhone only a partial representation of my gCal calendars. Help is highly appreciated!

Ah ha, I found a workaround! This is using iOS 4.
    1. Set which calendars are shared by Google Calendar via CalDAV at:
    https://www.google.com/calendar/iphoneselect
    2. On the iPhone, go to Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Add Account... -> Other -> Add CalDAV Account
    Server: www.google.com
    User Name: (your gmail address)
    Password: (your gmail password)
    Description: gcal
This creates a gcal section in the iOS 4 Calendar app after the From My Mac section, which contains my (default) gcal calendar, and the other calendars I shared via the top url.
All of this is, I think, independent of which calendars iCal uses and which calendars you told iTunes to sync to the iPhone.

  • How do I access group calendars on 10.8 server from a calendar client?

    Hi,
I have a brand new installation of 10.8.2 . I installed the server app and started Calendar, Contacts, DNS, File Sharing, Mail, Open Directory and the Wiki services. I created a group with some users in it. I also created a group wiki and enabled the calendar for that wiki. The user group has r/w access to the wiki. The web interface to the wiki works from a client 10.8.2 client system. I can edit the group calendar through the web interface. I created an account in the Calendar application that connects to the server and shows the users' calendar. I altered the server path to /principals/__uids__/wiki-GROUPNAME/.
The calendar shown is still that for the user and not the one of the group. Hence my question: how do I access group calendars on a 10.8 server from the calendar application on a client?

    yrmomsadic wrote:
Forgot to mention, you can techinically force it to work, but iCal breaks it for some unknow reason, taking it back to the users account after a day or two.  The best work around has been to create a new user, named the group name, and then allow delegates to access the calendar.  This however screws things up with the iphone calendar, as it didn't/doesn't handle delegates.  Again, hoping Apple comes to their senses on this.
You can still delegated calendars on iOS, but the setup is a little tricky.  You have to add an entirely new calendar account, and enter the full ugly url with the users uuid.  It would be so nice if iOS just supported CalDav delegation.

Before you configure SharePoint 2013 to use Office Web Apps Server via HTTPS, make sure that you have set up Office Web Apps Server by following the steps in Deploy

  • Losing HTTPS web UI access every day on PX12-400r - known issue?

I have two brand new PX12-400r units that are configured identically and connected to the same physical switch.
One of these units loses the ability to accept connections via the HTTPS web interface. I can still ping it and I can still access it via NFS, but in order to restore web UI connectivity someone has to logon to the console directly at the device and restart the software services.
This box is running the latest firmware available from the Lenovo website. Is this a known issue? Since I have two identical units, I suspect that this one may be defective, but before I ship this disappointing device back, I thought it would be worth checking with others first.

  • Error when accessing  Room Calendar

    Hi all,
I need your help to solve the following issue:
I created a ROOM (User Administration --> Collaboration --> Room creation) to use schedule meetings functionality.
    Name: Testroom
    Description: Test
    Category: default_category
    Template: SAP_Meeting_Template
    Access mode: by invitation only
    Room role: Member Admin
Then, through User Administration --> Collaboration --> Room Directory, I access created room.
Before this, I checked user mapping set up: go to Personalize --> User Mapping:
    System:
    Password:
    User:
I did not fill these fields.
Then, I tried to access the ROOM calendar, but it take a long time to load, to finally send a error message:
"No logon data found for system Exchange".
Considering previous step, this message is obvious.
So, I go again to Personalize --> User Mapping:
    System: EXchange
    Password: ********
    User: username
Then, I came back to Calendar, again, it take a long time to load  to finally send a Windows error message:
"Runtime error......object required". I selected debugging option: it seems to be a time out error...
This error is sent by system each time I try to access the calendar for my created room, independently if i made
changes in user mapping configuration. So, I had to eliminate room, and re-create it.
When I tried same describe flow, and changing user format information in user mapping: domain\username, Portal sent another error message:
"The user name or password is incorrect".
    I check system EXchange configuration:
System Administration --> System Configuration,in detailed navigation: System. I search for Exchange: OK (
    Domain: ok. MailServer: ok).
I hope with this information you can help me to solve my problem.
    Thanks in advance,
    Christian Naylor

    Hi Christian,
For exchange connectivity be it via Collaboration Rooms or other GW iViews please have a look at SAP Note # 736644 and make sure you have all the configurations in place.
Also you can test the exchange connectivity via the test connector which is an exe provided by SAP.
    Hope this helps.

    <P>
Regardless of whether you are a remote user, mobile user, or in the
office every day, you need access to your calendaring information anytime from
anywhere. iCS 2.x provides a personal calendar and event solution that can be
any device that includes a web browser. iCS 2.x works with other Alliance
solutions such as Sun Internet Mail Server and Netscape Messaging Server
software to ensure complete access to your calendar data regardless of location,

    Hi,
Thank you for your suggestion. I have tried with your option also. Still I am getting the second time userid/password dialogue box.
Is there any other solution to avoid the second time user authentication dialogue box?

I use Touchdown from Nitodesk for my work email. Its a little pricey, but it works with your companys OWA (Outlook Web Access) portal. They do have a 30 day trial that they insist that you try to make sure it will work for you before you shell out any money for the app. It syncs the Calendar, notes, tasks, emails etc.
It has a discovery feature that it will figure out what it needs to configure. All you need to provide is how you log into OWA (Username/password, website) and the program does the rest. It works very well for me.
No I am not employed by Nitrodesk. I only use the program. There was no need to ask my IT people to set anything up for me.
Give it a try, it might work as well for you too.
One day I will have to give this app a try, I am just use to configuring my device to sync without a 3rd party app but I have heard that Touchdown seems to be the best thing going to setup a corp sync process..

  • Can't access google calendar with parental controls on

We are trying to give our daughter accesss to the family's Google calendar.  In the parental controls we have "try to limit adult websites" as the selection.  With this on, she is not able to log into the calendar - it gives a message that says something about not being able to establish a secure connection.  She can go on the Google homepage without problem and search, etc. - but she can't access the Google sign-in or the calendar.
When we change the parental controls setting to "allow all websites" she can log onto the calendar without any problem.
We also tried adding the various google web address strings under the "customize" tab for "always allow these sites" while still leaving the "try to limit adult websites" as the overall setting.  Even with the specific sites approved - she still can't access the calendar.
What's up??  Isn't there a way we can allow her to see the calendar without having to give her unecessary exposure to anything on the net?

So after I made my original post above I continued searching the forums and found the answer below.  It refers to Googla Mail but their solution worked just as well for Google Calendar.  Who knew it would be so simple.  I just went into "always allow these sites" and put in the 1e100.net and it worked like a champ!  The adult sites are still screened out but she can now access Google without any issue.

Re: Why can't I access Gmail anymore when internet restrictions are in plac
Apr 10, 2010 1:52 PM (in response to atobteam)
Finally!!!!! This solution works! Yea!  There are two scenarios I know of: 1. If you have users for whom under "Parental Controls/Content" you've chosen "Allow access only to these websites" (they can only get to the websites that are bookmarked by you) and if Google Mail was already a bookmark, then just do this: click the plus sign below the list in "Parental Controls/Content/Allow access only to these websites", and choose "Add Bookmark." On the pop-up, name the site "goog" or anything you want; then type in: 1e100.net in the box asking for an address. This will produce a new bookmark (named "goog" or whatever you've chosen), but will in effect just be a dummy or slave bookmark that you'll never use, but it'll allow you to get to your user's google mail sign in page by hitting the old google mail bookmark he or she used to hit. Second scenario (I have both scenarios in my home): if you have users for whom under "Parental Controls/Content" you've chosen "Try to Limit Access to Adult Websites Automatically", click the "Customize" button and then on the top of the pop-up, under "Always Allow These Websites," click the plus button and then add: 1e100.net . Then click OK. This user will now be able to get to his or her google mail sign in page.

  • How To Force Access Via HTTPS/SSL?

Forgive me if this question reveals how little I know about SSL, but... ;-)
What is the standard, best practice way to force a web client (via browser)
to use HTTPS/SSL? Our configuration is that the clients hit an IIS server
first, which then uses the WebLogic proxy/forward plug-ins to the WebLogic
server. The URLs that our clients follow come from an email we send, which
has https:// on the front. Access seems to stay in https as long as they
follow our links, but if the client edits the URL and changes https to
http, the access is now without SSL. How can I restrict access to https
only, or otherwise make sure they never use non-SSL access?
Thanks in advance for any explanations or pointers to references, etc.
    -Paul

    Paul,
You can disable the http port between IIS and weblogic. Configure only the SSL
connection. That way if any request comes to weblogic as http , it will be rejected.

  • Disallow app access to Calendar and Contacts by app in Profile Manager

Is there a method to disallow app access to Calendar and Contacts by app within a profile and push that out via Profile Manager?
I'm aware that you can do this on the device itself but I'd like to enforce policy.
    I'm guessing I'd need a custom profile.
    Thanks
    Tim

Create a profile that contains an Restrictions profile and add thoase apps to the list of app you want to restrict.
