Accessing the Editor

I have been using Photoshop Elements 5 for a few years without problems but now I can not go from the organizer to the editor ..... I get a message saying it is an invalid address and can not connect to the editor.  Any ideas on this one.

If I uninstall Photoshop and reinstall, I presume that will work but will I lose all the editing and tagging I have done.
Any suggestions you have would be great.
Thanks

Richard,
No you would not loose the editing and tagging by uninstalling and reinstalling.
In order to help identify how you can delete the Preferences using Windows Explorer, please post which version of Windows you are running. Then you can delete the Preferences first before trying an uninstall and reinstall.
I tried to set the open screen to editor and now nothing opens and I cannot even get into organizer.
Sorry, my intent was for you to choose the Editor but not to set it permananetly. In any case we will proceed based on your current status.

  • Help,Intermittent problems accessing the Editor in Elements 10

    Sometimes when I try to access the Editor,either  from the Organizer or directly, it will let me in and I can then edit several images, without any problems. Then without warning it fails, and I cannot access the Editor in any of the editing Modes. The only way I have been able to to overcome the problem is to come out of Elements and  Reboot my PC, then re enter Elements and start afresh.
    I am using a Sony Vaio PC with wndows7 Home Premium, and AVG security. I have also fairly recently installed a Bambo Pen and Touch tablet, but I think the problem stems back from before that installation.
    I am not very "computer literate" but any help or suggestions will be much appreciated.
    John.

    Try this:
    Bypass the Unwelcome Screen by creating Desktop shortcuts for the Organizer and the Editor, and restarting your computer.
    The Editor's executable is:
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 10\PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe"
    The Organizer's executable is:
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Elements 10 Organizer\PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe"
    The Unwelcome Screen leaves a zombie process running which prevents the actual program from launching again.

  • How do you start the Editor Application

    I am experiencing difficulty in opening the Editor Application. I can only open the Tutorials. I am able to oprn the Organiser Application. So now I am wondering if I need to fill the organiser with photos before I can access the Editor Application. Any advice would be useful.
    Many thanks

    No, the organizer is totally voluntary. I'm not sure what tutorials you mean, but if you are using a mac (I'm guessing that since you say "application") and PSE 12 (also guessing since you don't say  much) it's in Applications>Adobe Photoshop 12>Support Files>Photoshop Elements Editor.

  • Error when trying to access the RBAC User editor and Message tracking

    Hi,
    I am getting an error when trying to access the RBAC User editor and Message tracking on the Web Mgmt interface. I verified that the admin account trying to access is in the Organization Management group and has the correct Role Assignment Policy applied.
    I searched through this thread below and saw that matching the msExchRoleLink and msExchUserLink attributes fixed the issue.
    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/exchange/en-US/fc568cc6-8691-4127-b70b-bcc82f9b1f7f/first-2010-cas-server-no-administrator-rights-emc-permissions-gone?forum=exchange2010
    However I have another environment where this is not the case and works just fine; the msExchUserLink attribute has a value of CN=Organization Management,OU=Microsoft Exchange Security Groups,DC=Domain,DC=Local which is different as per the issue outlined in
    the above thread so I am not convinced that this will work and also don’t want to blindly edit something in adsiedit without being sure.
    I then checked the event logs on the server and saw the below error logged;
    Current user: 'Domain/Server Services Accounts/administrator'

    Any ideas as to what the above event log is specifically referring to?

    Hi,
    From your description, I would like to clarify the following thing:
    If you want to search message tracking logs, the account you use should be a member of the role groups below:
    Organization Management role group, Records Management role group, Recipient Management role group.
    Hope this can be helpful to you.

    I'm trying to access the Quicktime video editor (the one that allowed you to sharpen your videos, among other adjustments) that used to be there in iMovie. I'm running iMovie 10.0.5 on OS X Mavericks 10.9.5 and can't seem to find it.

    The latest incarnation of iMovie doesn't offer the 'Export with Quicktime'-options, the previous versions did.

    I am using pse 11 0n windows vista for years and it has suddenly started freezing on starting, I am now unable to access the organizer it freezes on the blue screen, the editor can be opened. Have removed and reinstalled but is still occurring. Have changed the files as suggested, am unable to open as administrator

    'The installer has insufficient privileges to modify this file C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support\Web kit.resources\inspector\Images\Spinner Inactive Selected.gif.'
    That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.
    XP instructions in the following document: How to perform disk error checking in Windows XP
    Vista instructions in the following document: Check your hard disk for errors
    Windows 7 instructions in the following document: How to use CHKDSK (Check Disk)
    Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
    Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards?

  • Why can't I access Photo Editor. When I click on it, it kicks me off the Elements start screen?

    I was having trouble accessing Photo Editor from the start screen of Elements. When I click on "Photo Editor" it kicks me out of the program entirely. Yet, when I click on "Organizer" it opens. What can I do? After I configured my monitor, I was able to access Photo Editor, but then it has gone back to NOT accessing it. Anyone have an answer?

    Try a reset. Next try deleting and reinstalling app.

  • Access the Name and Value of a StationGlobals container programatically

    Hello,
    I am having some trouble trying to programmatically write the contents of a container into my HTML report header. The container contains a series of strings and numbers. These are saved into StaionGlobals.
    Note that I am performing all of these operations in a statment step inside the sequence editor of TestStand
    I used the following method to access the correct property, which sits inside a for loop. Now this seems to work fine as Locals.PropertyObj contains the element which I wish to access. In the following Locals.PropertyObj is an object. TestSetup is the name of my setup information container
    Locals.PropertyObj = StationGlobals.GetNthSubProperty("TestSetup", StationGlobals.ForIterator, 0)
    I can access the Name of the parameter simply by using the following code (where Locals.Name is a string):
    Locals.Name = StationGlobals.GetNthSubPropertyName("TestSetup", StationGlobals.ForIterator, 0)
    However when I try to access the actual value of the parameter I get an error or the wrong information. The following line gives me back the value "PropertyObject, IID = {8D87....}" which is not the value I am trying to get to.
    Locals.Val = StationGlobals.GetNthSubProperty("TestSetup", StationGlobals.ForIterator, 0)
    I must be doing something wrong, and have tried various methods to do this but cannot get my head around the problem. I tried to use the following also, but it resulted in an error:
    Locals.PropertyObj.AsPropertyObject.GetFormattedValue((Locals.PropertyObj.AsPropertyObject).Name, 0, "", False, "")
    Note that the following line works fine:
    (Locals.PropertyObj.AsPropertyObject).Name
    Also can you tell me why the lookup string needs to be defined in Locals.PropertyObj.AsPropertyObject.GetValueString(), is there a way to not require the lookup string as you are already have the correct property, and just the value is needed to be gotten.
    One last thing, in Evaluate() how do I make it work with dots, for example the following line  (another attempt to get the value) did not work due to the presence of the . character
    Evaluate("StationGlobals.TestSetup." + (Locals.PropertyObj.AsPropertyObject).Name)
    Many thanks in advance of your response,
    Ben Lawler
    ps. hope that I am not being stupid and missed something very obvious

    Ben,
    Just a few comments;
    [Locals.PropertyObj = StationGlobals.GetNthSubProperty("TestSetup", StationGlobals.ForIterator, 0)]
    This should give you a PropertyObject for the 1st subproperty of StationGlobals.TestSetup if StationGlobals.ForIterator = 0
    [Locals.Name = StationGlobals.GetNthSubPropertyName("TestSetup", StationGlobals.ForIterator, 0)]
    This should give you the name of the 1st subProperty of StationGlobals.TestSetup if StationGlobals.ForIterator = 0
    [Locals.Val = StationGlobals.GetNthSubProperty("TestSetup", StationGlobals.ForIterator, 0)]
    This is going to return the 1st subproperty of StationGlobals.TestSetup if StationGlobals.ForIterator = 0 as a PropertyObject reference
    and Locals.Val should be an ActiveX Reference type which I am guessing it isn't.
    [Locals.PropertyObj.AsPropertyObject.GetFormattedValue((Locals.PropertyObj.AsPropertyObject).Name, 0, "", False, "")]
    I think this should be Locals.PropertyObj.GetFormattedValue("", 0, "", False, ""), you dont need to specify the lookup string because you have obtained a reference to the actual sub-PropertyObject.
    and therefore
    Locals.Val = Locals.PropertyObj.GetFormattedValue("", 0, "", False, "")
    should give you the value of the 1st subproperty of StationGlobals.TestSetup if Locals.PropertyObj was obtained as above.
    I will try to check out your sequencefile later when I have access to TestStand 4.x.

  • How do I access the DCJMS* variables in my response SOAP:Header ?

    Hi all,
    I have set up a sync / async Integration Process in XI
    This is initiated by a SAP R/3 transaction that calls a synchronous function to enter XI
    Once in the Bridge, a JMS receiver adapter sends out an asynchronous request message from XI to MQ
    A correlation allows the JMS sender adapter to return an asynchronous response message from MQ to XI back into my the Integration Process
    I have set up the JMS sender adapter configuration to return the DC (dynamic configuration) variables in the <SOAP:Header> of the XI response message along with the payload
    You can see that the DCJMS* variables are returned below

    <b>Question</b>
    Do I use the user-defined function (like above)?
    I performed the following steps
    •     Opened the message mapping in edit mode
    •     Created the user-defined function using the graphical editor
    •     Saved the message mapping
    •     I have not connected the user-defined function to any of the xml tags in either the source or target messages

    Hi, guys
    I cannot view delegate mailbox in Outlook. Following is my configure.

    Login Outlook as B-User on other computer, click File -> Account Settings -> Account Settings, select B-User and click Change -> More Settings -> Advanced, add A-User.
    Now I can see a root A-User in Navigation Pane. But when I click it, it shows

    I searched some solutions from internet, but all of them don't work. Could you give some suggestions?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    First, please double check if you have given the right permission to B-User on your step 2.
    In addition, we can try to give a higher permission to the B-user to check the result.
    Please feel free to post back and let me know the result.

  • How can I access the savestore.js contents if the command about:sessionrestore shows a blank box even for already succesfully used backups?

    How can I access the savestore.js contents if the command about:sessionrestore shows a blank box even for already succesfully used backups?
    Is there a recent known problem with the about:sessionrestore command or is there any other way understandable to Firefox 29.0.1 through which recover the information stored in the sessionstore.js files.
    It seems the command about:sessionrestore is not capable anymore to read the contents of the sessionstore.js file present in the user profile folder.
    The box where windows and tabs should be listed is empty.
    I tried to paste a few old sessionstore.js files in the user directory while the firefox.exe process was not active, then opened Firefox again and tried to launch the about:sessionrestore command without any result.
    I think the files are not corrupted because I used most of them in other occasions and I stored them in folders not connected to the common use of any process.
    Also, I already successfully used the about:sessionrestore command in Firefox 29.0.1 in a few other occasions.
    I did a "clean reinstall" of Firefox 29.0.1 and the box contained in the tab where about:sessionrestore is executed is still empty even if the files themselves contain such information as tabs location and html addresses.
    After this I recovered the profile data I had stored in another folder and this is what you can see attached to this question.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    If I select the "show my windows and tabs from last time" option in the startup settings the contents of any savestore.js file i paste in the user profile folder are opened without any problem.
    still, the box in the tab loaded by the about:sessionrestore command is blank and empty, so it's not possible to "de-select" any window or tab. it's necessary to find an editor to modify session backup files which may contain "bad addresses".
    does such an editor already exists?

  • How can I access the "vision info" in an image

    Hi,
    Development Environment:
    LabVIEW 2012 32-bit (12.0f3)
    Vision 2012
    Description:
    I would like to get more information regarding the "vision info" in an image.
    There is a VI called IMAQ Is Vision Info Present 2 - which tells me whether any vision info is present in the image.
    But then what can I use to read or access this vision info, aside from using IMAQ Read Custom Data - or is this all there is?
    ie.  I have created a template in Vision Assistant using the Template editor and highlighted some mask areas - how can I open this up in LabVIEW and get this information?
    The Vision help files don't seem to define this to a low level of detail.
    Thanks!

    Hi Christopher,
    Have you tried our IMAQ Get Geometric Template features VI? Information on this VI can be found here: http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/370281P-01/imaqvision/imaq_get_geometric_template_features/
    This VI will allow you to reference your created template image and returns the features of that image giving the ‘Feature Type’ and the associated data with that feature. This should allow you to access the data you need.
